@@coyoteclockworkstudios3140 ha! I love taking requests but I’m an original trilogy guy so that’s a hard sell for me. But I’ll definitely get a copy of that book- I hadn’t heard of it and it looks great, big thanks for that, there might be something to inspire a make in there :) . Harder to find in UK (you in the US?) but I’ll get hold of one somewhere :) cheers mate
@@scotty3570 that would be fun to tackle and definitely a cool beast 😃 pretty sure I couldn’t improve on the Hasbro 1:12 tauntaun though, they did a good job I think. I really like how you started with the leggs, you got so much better by the time you got to the face where it matters most. Really made me reevaluate my approach to things.
@@HasBruce ah thanks. I started on the legs because of how the fur layers needed to sit on top of each other. But agree it’s often best to start on less interesting areas. Doing a duo for next video and have finished bodies before doing the more interesting work of heads 😎👍 thanks for the comment
@@LandspeederLuke wooohoooo! I’ve been waiting for the day my little channel might catch your eye (I’m a fan and a patreon sub) 🎉 thanks mate, glad you like it. You’ve made my day 👊🙌
It looks brilliant! I haven't got a 3D printer (yet) but I have thought about using a model of an elephant as a base for a Bantha, considering that it was portrayed by one in the movie... I really enjoyed watching, you're a natural presenter! However I found the background music interfered with your narration and isn't needed IMO. I hope you get a lot of subs, you deserve them!
Thanks for very much, and thanks for the feedback on the music- I’ve been back and forth on that, perhaps I’ll try dropping it down in the mix or finding something less intrusive 🤔 👍 An elephant would be a great base and very suitable bearing in mind the origins 😃👏👏 I guess you’d have to do some modelling with something for the face but the bones of it would be perfect 🤩
This is the second video of yours I've seen and each one is better than the last. I have never used a 3-D printer, and therefore know nothing about them. I do have one question though. Can the information that is given to the printer be reduced? I only collect the 4" figures, so could a Bantha be printed from the same data or whatever it is you send to the printer and made to the scale you desire? Or does it not work that way? If so I will definitely find someone with a 3-D printer because I need to have a Bantha! Plus it looks like fun to dress a "Naked Bantha"!! Oh I almost forgot....SUBSCRIBED 😃👍
@@TheGryxter you absolutely can adjust the scale very easily. I’m currently printing the weird R1-G4 droid the jawas have for sale in a new hope. It’s meant as 3.75” but just scaled up to 150%. If you’re tempted yourself take a look at Bambu printers they’re easy to use right out of the box. At your scale I would think an A1 mini would be ideal. Easiest thing is to get a friend to print it though 😁
Do a Naboo tusk cat next! Terryl Whitlach's "The Wildlife of Star Wars" doesn't get enough love.
