Also, never be afraid to towerdive with ult. Simply Flash away during your ultimate animation and they will still take full damage. You can also use Flash during your Q windup, which can catch low health enemies off guard very easily. You should go with Trinity Force against mostly melee comps and Stridebreaker against ranged comps. It is highly advised to go Sterak's Gage as 2nd or third, too, but DMP and Force of Nature are viable as 2nd picks. And most importantly, use Ghost. It is what makes Darius a champion. Without Ghost, you are weak. Ghost, ghost, ghost, ghost. Once you use it, no one can get away from you and it usually turns into a free kill in lane. Permaban: Fiora. She can easily block your q with her parry or dash. #1 counter: Phase Rush. phase rush is the worst thing that you can see as a Darius player. edit: Control ward grubs once they spawn. Make sure you get those damn worms!

If Darius doesn't win the lane he'll be useless, unlike other champs who can still contribute by utility or scaling like Mordekaiser, Shen, Kayle and Mundo. Spot on guide its literally all you need.

Why play Darius Top? Well, you probably wont because of his massive ban rate. So, just play Leona top instead! Take Grasp, Demolish, Second Wind, and Overgrowth and because leona has a low mana pool we want manaflow band and transcendence. Play safe and just farm up poking only when you have grasp up. Rush a Bami and now you can finally fight. Make sure you are maxing your W for bonus resistances. Next you want to buy a Heartsteel. You are basically playing a burst tank. After that you can finish building your sunfire, build an Abyssal mask, titanic if your team needs some ad, demonic if you need ap, thornmail, or a force or nature.
