Retro G it sure has been, still going strong more than a year later! With the exception of the antenna handle which has been a nightmare at times, I've had zero issues!
Since my kids have been born we have gone through nine laptops including an Alienware it was really expensive this one I got second hand off a friend of mine for $175 and I don't think they can break it. I am very disappointed they went with Intel graphics instead of AMD or Nvidia but I may look for an external option for that. But mine has an optional slot for an M2 drive a second M2 drive and I found out the system is RAID 0 compatible so I'm going to get a second matching drive and do RAID 0 for my OS. Also it came with a single stick of 16 gigs ddr4 2133 ram I will probably get into second stick later on so I still see this as a very good laptop it is incredibly fast and you are so right there is no anything on this you can't find any documentation you can't find any advertisements you can't find any TH-cam videos so it takes people like you to put the information out there. But I think when these came out they were extremely expensive and not typically for your normal consumer.
hi man, great review....a few questions on this unit. does it come with back lit key board? does it come with hot swap battery? (so you can change the battery without shutting down the laptop?) have you been using it? (with web viewing, watching youtube videos...how many hours can you get before the battery goes dead? hope to hear back soon. im thinking about getting one. thanks
I am excited, I have it narrowed down to a few ruggedized tablets, on being completely safe for microbes and to be used in anti microbial clean rooms for hospitals, why? Bc Why not?? I haven't really been one for ruggedized phones or tablets or anything, but after my Caterpillar S60 Android phone, and the fact I drop it off a warehouse ladder (20'+ high drops) semi regularly, I'm really looking to replace my iPad pro and the reason to carry my $3k MBPR15 so, like you said, I couldn't find any reviews that went into what I want, and to be frank a text review doesn't always truly warrant a "good vibe" or rendition of a product review, especially when explaining something without a visual. So thank you @ctuan13 for this great review, especially with that hinge, because the first time you demonstrated the loose looking, yet stiff screen hinge, I had to pause and make my comment, before you clarified what I had just seen, Now you had mentioned you were replacing your iPad, was that a pro 12? Or which model?

But having a full on windows machine that's fully rugged and can also be a tablet is what was so attractive to me about the Latitude 12 rugged extreme! Hahaha nah man, though I'm sure it would be a formidable weapon! As I explained in the video, I bought it to replace my iPad which kept breaking. I wanted something more rugged and durable, that also provided more functionality than iOS.
