I own a auto glass shop in Florida for 16 years !! This particular car is one of the hardest windshield to install !! If you’re not a auto glass installer, you did a great job .. good job
This is my first video for this channel and the second time I tried to install a windshield in this car. I broke the first windshield which really sucked! Let me know if you like the channel. I’m interested in feedback good or bad. Thanks!
i have to change the dashboard of my 72 911T Targa. does the the windshield have to be removed in order to screw the dashboard in place from the outside? thanks for help
I think it might need to be removed. It’s been about a year since is did it so I’m not sure. But I know the reason I replaced the dash was because I already had the windshield out.
Enjoyed it. Wayne Dempsey of Pelican mentions that older glass is brittle but some pressure has to be applied from the outside in order for it to seat. Was that your experience?
Thanks for the comment. I thought that too, but that’s not the case with this seal and trim. I like the other style better, much easier to install the flexible trim after the window is in. 👍

I bet that new dash wasn't cheap. What a difference that must have made.

That would explain why the first one broke. I think I applied the same pressure to both. It is nice having a new windshield with no pitting though👍
Next time you should put the trim in after you install the windshield, the trim also acts as a "lock" of sorts. :)

What brand seal did you use?
Tom O'Connor OEM seal.
I think there is a rat in your garage that like to turn the dial on AM radio. Total thumb down.
