This is the car that put your channel on the map! It's been a long road but man has this been a great one. The almost finished product is just amazing! I hope you're happy of your accomplishments! Congratulations on such a beautiful piece of history! I actually subbed to this channel when I saw the first episode of this series!

Couldn’t agree more with your comments. This project brought me to the channel as well. The renaissance of this car is a perfect analogy for the growth of this channel. Michael and his Dad are so hardworking, creative and genuine. Wish you all the best and I look forward to many more amazing builds on my favorite TH-cam channel!

This! THIS!!! This is the series that got me to subscribe to your incredible channel. The actual moment that got me to subscribe, was when you and your dad built a device to put the Porsche safely on its side. Many people might laugh at me for that, but it was the most amazing thing I ever saw. I wish you and your dad much joy and success.

      This is NOT a $100k car. It’s $50k - $55k tops.
      1. It’s a Targa, the least desirable body style.
      2. It’s a G body car, not an F body.
      3. The engine is a 2.7 with mag case. There is at least $20k of machining that has to be done eventually to add timeserts to the case so the head studs don’t pull out.
      4. It’s a 915 gearbox rather than the G50 gearbox.
      5. Not real Fuchs.

Don't sell yourself short with the "budget" restoration moniker. The vast majority of expense in a restoration is the time and labor. And you obviously have been stellar in that category. This is one of the my beautiful 911s I have ever seen and I have seen a lot. Ice Green Metallic is the best 911 color of all time. I unfortunately had to sell my 964 Targa last year, so thanks for letting me live vicariously through you.

As the father of two sons it is gratifying to see you and your Dad work so well together. If I may offer a gentle and kindly meant comment, the word Cognac is pronounced CON-YAK. Beautiful! What an adventure you have had. My Dad helped me with 3 different restorations, a 1960 Morris Mini, a 1972 914 1.7, and a 1973 914 2.0. Then he worked with me on my Swift DB2 Racecar as my crew and number one fan. Enjoy this time with your Dad. I now have a 2003 911 C4S and need to do some repairs and upgrades, but am a little distracted by our first grand child. Retired and busier than ever!

Once again, this has to be one of the most spectacular builds I have seen on YT! That car NEVER looked that good coming out of the factory. The clever mix of when-to-refurb and when-to-buy (pricey or on a budget) was just so spot-on. I have seen compliments come from hard-core Porsche folks who have marveled at your creativity and technical IQ. Just really impressive all the way around -- you have built yourself a ride that you can always be proud of. Whether you go get ice cream with the kiddos or take her to a show, let your buttons pop! Absolutely gorgeous restoration! Well done! We were waiting so long for this 35th episode and it’s finally there. I can wholeheartedly rely on this build as I myself had a Porsche Targa 1973 back in 1984 when I was 20. She was 100’000 km old when I bought it but still brand new almost. What a quality car that was. And she was white exactly like this one. If only I had kept it.... sold it for 8000 Swiss francs 2 years later, what a fool of me.

I usually say: Noice. But today...it's Wooow. I mean, out of the ballpark and then some. The interior looks amazing. I was a bit skeptic about the interior colour choice, as I was with the ice green, but it does blend in perfectly. The dash green thing was a cool choice. You must have goose bumps every time you drive it. It came from deader than dead...to just wooow. You fellas rock. So glad I was part of this journey. Rob, Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia

You have achieved the impossible! I am in the UK and I have enjoyed watching each episode of your beautiful work from the very start. Your fine and loving attention to detail must surely repay you handsomely. I hope you will justifiably enjoy the rewards for all of your careful efforts for a long time to come. Drive safe and thank you.

This is one of the nicest 911 rebuilds I've ever seen. I like how you took some liberties with it since it's not an all-original build. It's even nicer than it would have been from the factory!
