Ted Kahler We have never use a new holland round baler. I only have some clues how to set the net wrap. But our new holland dealer is pretty good dealer.
I like the pick up. The twine system sucks on the new balers my friend bought one last year and traded it off this fall I could bale circles around him with the twine problems he had. I'm glad you can grease the door hinge again.
On straw we will put out 20 bales and need the tractor to haul all the straw that is froze on the wrap. Kids told me they would quit me if I went to wrap so that's why we never fixed Dads wrap problem on his baler.
when we cut net on alot of bales i would do a bunch on a nice day so i didnt have to do it when the conditions were right for net to be frozen to the hay or straw. found how they were stacked made a big difference on when or if the net was frozen
With the new change in the baler where there is no longer a place for trash build up and your view of the belts aren't visible can you add a mirror up there so you can check on that area of the baler?
hope it works out for you, we quit deere balers because we couldn't stand the secondary lift rotor mechanism shredding the hay. made the move to vermeer and are very pleased with it.
i have ran all three... my preference goes from new Holland Deere then Vermeer... haven't ran others to compare though Im sure there are others that are great too. I think alot is what are you familiar with and what do you want out of a baler. I had an uncle who loved his Vermeer hay equipment but went to a Deere baler. Nobody's choice of equipment is wrong its what they thing will work better for them thanks for commenting
Hey Tim, my local NH dealer has NHbr780a baler, has 16,000 bales, I haven’t ran a NH everyone runs Deere in my area so my experience is Deere. We bale alfalfa/grass, what is the downside to this baler? And what to look for on br780a? and what does the A mean at end of it? Thanks.:)
The a is an updated model of the 780. Has a better cam system for the stuffer forks If it’s the mega wide pickup the bai. Issue with them are the stuffer fork bearings going out. Sometimes they don’t start very dry hay the best but can be fixed with adding some keystock on to one of the rollers.
I think either is fine but i am running lots of monitors and hate taking the baler one out cause it takes up half my area i have for monitors LOL. I think the newer one will make it so i can leave it in there even when having the other monitors in there
Ted Kahler yeah we leave our one for the round baler in the 4050 and leave the kicker adjuster to control how far it throws it for the square baler in our 5520.
I'm sure you will really like your new baler. Ive got one and it is pretty awesome. I have about 6000 bales on mine and haven't had any problems whatsoever
We lost our John Deere baler in a fire. Tried to get a demo on the 560 but the local dealer couldn’t get it done. Would have made the desicion to go Jd or nh a lot easier if I could have ran it before we bought it. Might end up going back with a John Deere just cause that’s what I’m familiar with. Looks like a good baler. My biggest worry is how big the pickup is compared to the John Deere. Could it have trouble picking up light material
yea that would irritate me if i couldnt get a demo.. I have a couple buddies that i went and checked out their balers before i made my chose to stay with nh. The pickup is much taller than deere but i have never had trouble picking up material and the pickup on the front of the balers are the same. I think nh running curved teeth where the deere runs straight teeth makes a difference. I will say about 12 mph is the speed limit no matter how the hay is
+Ted Kahler our Deere had trouble in chopped stalks. The stalks wanted to push up the between the packer rods but I see the new models have options for more packer rods like your 7090 for corn stalks. I agree with the curved teeth design and have heard changing teeth on a nh is a lot easier than the Jd
I understand why you bought it now. But it has to be torcher with it sitting there all winter. When you showed the size sensor I think you called it. The new one is open the old one was in a box looked like there was a little cable there or something what's that for. Sorry for the question last round Baler I was around was an ancient Vermeer that didn't have a monitor or nothing all manuel
the cable i kinda hit my hand on??? that cable goes to the ramp on the baler and goes to an indicator on the front to let me know if my ramp is up or down. the old one was mechanical the new one is now an electric sender
Don't know if you have been asked this before but why round balers and not big square balers? The round balers seem like a pain to have to stop every time to unload a bale.
We run a 450 bale slice, I do like the idea of being able to see through the belts better but when it comes to fire, our ideology is to let it burn. Insurance can replace your baler and/or your tractor but can’t replace a human life. We aren’t fire fighters, were farmers. Great video though!
if its the chain im thinking about it is hooked to the rollers that move with the shape of the bale as the bale grows. it just keeps the rollers so there is an open spot to form the core of the bale
I actually been looking for tractors... trying to decide what i want or need. But cant buy or do anything untell i get some commitment from my landlord for a long term deal... YEar by year its hard to spend money for 5 years
Thanks ill have to do that... i actually dont go there often as its 45 miles away, but they deliver parts to a town just 15 miles away so it works good for me with that.
My 7090 specialty crop is nothing but problems. Been a pita since new, 16000 bale's now, but to me all the bearings are to small. Pickup teeth are junk. Stuffer is horrible. Feeds augers poorly. Sealed computer on baler overheats and burns up here in 100degree temp. 8 of em now. Bale kicker is a joke. I added greese certs on the main hinge up top. I can go on and on.
That’s nice…….: I have been happy with both will agree the pickup augers on the 7090 and stuffers needed improvement The 7090 are worlds ahead of the 780s And the 560 is worlds ahead of the 7090
Thanks for the walk around.
A lot more to a baler than this Cabinetmaker thought.
LOL maybe
We are demoing that baler in the spring. New Holland is a such cleaner design. Less spots for trash to build up.
I have heard if they get the net set up right from the dealer there great... but if your dealer is junk then may have net problems.
Ted Kahler We have never use a new holland round baler. I only have some clues how to set the net wrap. But our new holland dealer is pretty good dealer.
i hope your happy with the demo.

twine??? whats that LOL id rather not even have it on there
Ted Kahler some of don’t get all of our bales custom ground. I hate wrap but one day that’s what I will use for speed of baling
We dont get all our hay custom ground either i dont mind cutting net off... i hate cutting twines both have there challenges though
On straw we will put out 20 bales and need the tractor to haul all the straw that is froze on the wrap. Kids told me they would quit me if I went to wrap so that's why we never fixed Dads wrap problem on his baler.

that really aint a bad idea... we will have to see how i feel about that when i get a tractor hooked onto it.
hope it works out for you, we quit deere balers because we couldn't stand the secondary lift rotor mechanism shredding the hay. made the move to vermeer and are very pleased with it.

Is it worth buying compared to the br780 POS that I have.?
The pickup is 1000 times better and the net wrap has been way more reliable as well…… the 7090. Were light ears ahead of the 780’s.
We have the comand plus monitor is our John Deere 4050 I don't think it takes up to much room as long if I can still see the mirrors I'm fine with it.
I think either is fine but i am running lots of monitors and hate taking the baler one out cause it takes up half my area i have for monitors LOL. I think the newer one will make it so i can leave it in there even when having the other monitors in there

yea i got gps screen two montors for planter then the baler... it gets pretty cramped
I'm sure you will really like your new baler. Ive got one and it is pretty awesome. I have about 6000 bales on mine and haven't had any problems whatsoever
Thanks time will tell im sure my youtube friends will be close to the first ones to know what i think of it once its been in the feid

i never changed teeth on deere but i think either brand is similar and a pain in the butt
I understand why you bought it now. But it has to be torcher with it sitting there all winter. When you showed the size sensor I think you called it. The new one is open the old one was in a box looked like there was a little cable there or something what's that for. Im not exactly sure what your referring to... spring will come soon enough LOL
Ted Kahler it was at 6.22 looks like a cable or string no big deal just curious
the cable i kinda hit my hand on???
that cable goes to the ramp on the baler and goes to an indicator on the front to let me know if my ramp is up or down. the old one was mechanical the new one is now an electric sender
Ted Kahler oh ok thanks sorry for being such a pain can't wait to see the new baler in action
awww your not a problem enjoy the interaction
Looks like a nice baler. Your gonna really enjoy using it I bet. 👍
I hope its a joy to run
Don't know if you have been asked this before but why round balers and not big square balers? The round balers seem like a pain to have to stop every time to unload a bale.
square bales need stored inside or under a tarp and round bales can be stored outside with no cover as they shed the water much better
Never been a fan of storing bales out in the weather
Be hard to store all our hay needs in side. Feed few thousand ton of hay a year
@@Rdrake1413 pretty sure no one is a fan of leaving bales outside...
We run a 450 bale slice, I do like the idea of being able to see through the belts better but when it comes to fire, our ideology is to let it burn. Insurance can replace your baler and/or your tractor but can’t replace a human life. We aren’t fire fighters, were farmers. Great video though!
thanks
How many head of cattle are you running?
I have around 50... can say how many is at the farm no my information to share
Hard to beat Red and Yellow balers!
I agree but i think alot of it is dealer support
if you paint that pickup system black and green you would swear it was my deere. Looks like a nice baler hope it works out for you.
if it was deere.... wouldnt it leave half the hay in the field then??
haha
why is there a chain in the chamber on the left side ted?
if its the chain im thinking about it is hooked to the rollers that move with the shape of the bale as the bale grows. it just keeps the rollers so there is an open spot to form the core of the bale
Hey Ted, how many bales did you run through the 7090?
Jake Vimont what one???? I have had two. First one was around 12000 I think second one was 11000 ish maybe
@@tedkahler9738 I see, thank you!
How long did u have the br 7090 and how many bales are on it
6 years... 11000 something bales...
U needed a upgrade
yea... maybe but i had a hard time deciding to get rid of it when there was really nothing wrong ...
Are u going to start looking a tractors after u get you farm equipment upgraded
I actually been looking for tractors... trying to decide what i want or need. But cant buy or do anything untell i get some commitment from my landlord for a long term deal... YEar by year its hard to spend money for 5 years
Best of luck with her. Possible to show what Titans dealership looks like some time.
Thanks ill have to do that... i actually dont go there often as its 45 miles away, but they deliver parts to a town just 15 miles away so it works good for me with that.
i like your video why you don't have a a conveyer belt to load the hay on the truck
Eric Hill not exactly sure of your question I’d love to answer but I don’t understand the question
How many bales does each baler have
7090 11000 something
560 should have 0
Looks good, seen a few on dealer lots, a lot nicer than my Massey/Hesston lol
I like the looks.. Looks like it will perform well but only running it will say for sure
Mind me asking price?
It was plenty.... Lots of variables on options on location and age... i think the best is have to talk to your local dealer or get on tractor house
Ted Kahler I was guessing off the top of my head around 40 to 45,000.
Looks like a nice heavy built machine. I think it will serve you well.
Time will tell
you should get a new tractor with ISOBUS and you won't need that monitor at all.
Yes i would because this baler is not iosbus compatible

I think I became first today. Oh well can't wait to see that Baler in action have a great evening
I cant wait to see it in action either
converyor belt
maybe
