Hi, use the Alan key to undo the bolt in the inside of the ubend, once that is completely out the black plastic should just fall off - you can then pull the plastic alarm out and there is a very small removable rubber protecting the charge connector. Hope this helps....
It's actually alright - the lock works great, feels really solid and it only needs a charge every 3 months which only takes 30 minutes or so to charge. I'm very happy with it and would but another if needed. Thanks for watching!
@wonkeyjase I get that and you are a 100% right on that front but it renders the alarm useless after a few years when the battery dies. Personally, I like Abus's solution with replaceable batteries a lot more.
@GTDpowah you are correct that maybe a year, two or three - the battery will definitely die (especially as it's out in the elements). I will say that the lock itself seems really good and even without the alarm part I feel that it's worth it. Now if you want a disc lock without an alarm - I've had a "on guard" disc lock that flipped my bike because I forgot it was on and it still works perfectly (the disc it was on bent completely along with the wheel!
1:57 how on earth do i get the plastic part off? You just gently take it off, with me its solid stuck. what the heck.

It seems a bit awkward undoing the grub to charge the device every time. How's it working for you, long-term? Many thanks for the video!

@@wonkeyjase That's great to know! Many thanks for replying. Best wishes.....
Great price at Sportsbikeshop
I often buy from them
I am struggling to understand the logic of using a charging battery instead of using the regular AA or AAA batteries 🤦
The battery it uses is super small and using anything above coin batteries would make it much larger.... I still recommend it today
