It’s actually quite the opposite. The casual fan doesn’t understand what expansions did to the league in the nineties. Jerry sloan, bird, Rodman and even bj Armstrong is on record saying that MJ came back out of retirement because he thought he could steal a couple of titles in a weak league. Are all of them causal ball fans? The knicks and pacers were good but cmon are we really gonna act like they were great teams. MJs the greatest but his teams weren’t winning until the league was at its lowest.

Facts. MJ faced Magic, Drexler, Barkley, Payton-Kemp and Stockton-Malone, and this host wants us to believe that wasnt as strong a competition than GSW. Shit if Toronto could beat that GSW team in the finals I think the Bulls would be perfectly fine 😂🤣😂🤣. I mean lets be honest a tonne of teams can beat that GSW team, e.g. 2000 Lakers, 2000 Blazers, 2002 Kings, 2008 Celtics to name a few. This just gets old how people limit the conversation cause they have zero knowledge of bball history and want to compare Lebron to MJ.

Or how many lobs and assists GP used to throw to Kemp. Or how Iverson would carry a team on his back to get wins that seem impossible on paper. Or how before Grant Hill got hurt he was on the road to being one of the greatest EVER. Or how Shaq made everyone else on the floor look like he was playing against high schoolers. I will always say that Mike may have had lesser opponents in the finals than Bron, but Mike’s trips to the finals through the playoffs to GET to the finals were light years harder than the teams Bron had to get through, the East was weak asf for most of the time bron was there. The most notable comp was the Celtics for like 2-3 years, and they were ALL out of their primes.

Damn y'all have selective memory and make out of context comments to prove a point. The Bulls first run nobody was in their way but a hobbled beat up Pistons team at the end of their run. Then Cleveland with Brad Dougherty and New York with Patrick Ewing. The 2nd run after signing Dennis Rodman The Pacers and Orlando with Shaq and Penny. That Pacers team was the best team (imo) that the Bulls beat out of the East during both runs. The tough Eastern conference thing is a myth. A one man Knicks team that took them 7 games, a soft ass Cavaliers team that was talented but had no leadership, heart and a mediocre coach. And a Magic team that lost Horace Grant for the playoffs while the Bulls went out and got Rodman simply for a team like Orlando (who put them out of the playoffs the year before). So stop it with the tougher ecf crap. Overrated

A pacers team with their best player being Victor Olidipo who had just made his first allstar team, the Raptors with the choke artists themselves in Derozan and Lowry, and the Celtics with 19 year old Jayson Taytum as their best player and it still went 7 games 😂. Could end all the playoff talk with “who had tougher comp in the finals” by just talking about how Bron got rocked by the Mavs 😂. You wanna talk out of context? Everyone says Bron coming back on the Warriors was sooooo impressive when: Draymond was suspended in game 5 and in that game 5 both Iguadala and Bogut (their literal only big man and the guy who won mvp of the finals the previous year strictly for defending Bron) get injured. They had Festus Ezili guarding Bron at points after that 😂. It was a free highway to the rim. You wanna talk context, let’s talk about that. Or do you wanna talk about the bubble where he won against the heat. The statistically WORST TEAM TO EVER MAKE A FINALS. On top of that game one their leading playoff scorer (Dragic) and allstar big (Bam) get injured and it still goes 6 games against a sole Jimmy Butler. Its funny that they talk about Mike's competition but ignored Mike's team mates. Mike only has 1 legit all star team mate throughout his career. And scottie pippen was drafted and had to be developed before he became an allstar. Jordan stayed with scottie even after the bad boys with multiple allstars beat them in the playoffs for 3 straight years. And the blazers team wasnt weak. They reached the finals in 1990, reached the WCF in 1991 and reached the finals again at 1992. They only lost to the 3 best teams in those separate years which were the bad boys, Lakers and the Bulls.
Lebron has been with "forced" superteams since he left cleveland in 2010. He handpicked his players like what he's still doin right now. And dont bring up 2018. It still started as a superteam until Kyrie had issues with Bron and left him that broke the superteam. Lebron and mgmt could no longer trade kyrie for another superstar bec. the trade deadline was almost up and the team's salary cap was loaded bec. Bron made the mgmt to reward guys like tristan thompson and jr smith with higher salary after winning in 2016.
The 2017 warriors team is just a product of lebron's ideology which is a superstar should have the option to select his team mates and create a path where the chances of winning the championship is higher. KD had that option and teamed up with Curry and the warriors.

Offensively Lebron has more variation to his play but Jordan was probably more effective by scoring, because when you can score the basket so well you don't really need to do anything else. The guy with the best stats doesn't get declared the winner, the team that won the game by outscoring the other is the winner, so the all around thing isn't as big of a deal... winning matters and MJ's scoring contributed substantially towards that

Ok so people always say that MJ’s bulls had easier opponents in the finals but that is whack.
1 - it may have looked like it was easy but that’s because MJ was that much better than everyone in his era, no one could even be compared to Mike while he was playing. Everyone saying The bulls never faced a team as good as the warriors, well that’s because Jordan’s bills were the warriors of that time.
2 - Everyone says Lebron was facing better teams like the Warriors which Steph, KD, Klay. Well Lebron wasn’t facing those teams alone, he had Kyrie, Kevin Love and a bunch of other solid supporting team members. Different era’s man! If Jordan was playing in an era where 2 MVP’s were allowed to play on the same team, what the hell you think Mike would do if he had another MVP Calibur player to work with??
3 - MJ’s road to his finals were substantially harder than Lebrons road to the finals. Lebron basically had a free ticket to the finals every year with how weak the eastern conference has been, and then basically went 4 for 20 in the finals. Where as Jordan, once he got to the finals, he was that good to never get knocked down and defended his crown 6 times. Lebron has twice as many losses in the finals than wins, while MJ was 6 and 0.
Finally Jordan free with his team and overcame the struggles of getting beatdown by the Pistons and the Celtics, but just kept working with what he had and elevated his team mates to get over those early obstacles. Where compared to a Lebron who would just go join other superstars or stack his teams to give himself an unfair advantage. So which ones sounds like the greater player? Pretty easy answer!! MJ = 🐐

Look Kev if you are reading this, do not underestimate the Jazz.
In 1998, this was their path to the Finals
    - They beat Hakeem, Barkley and Drexer in the first round
    - They beat the San Antonio Spurs with Tim Duncan, David Robinson with Pop as the coach
    - They SWEPT Shaq, Kobe, Jones, Van Excel who were named all-stars in 1998!
Only to be beaten by Bulls in 6 and you say the Cavs will sweep that team? That's damn ignorant.. You want to talk about competition, then try to visualize who that Jazz team beat to get to the Finals in 98 and that same Jazz team beat Shaq and Kobe the year before. Those Jazz teams were one of the best teams to never win a title.
And stop glorifying the Thunder in 2012, we all know that talent can only take you so far. I rather have John Stockton than Westbrook, I would rather have Stockton's intangibles and his playmaking than Westbrook's empty stats, chucking up bad inefficient shots and horrible decision-making. That 2012 Thunder ain't competition because Westbrook doesn't have a winner's mentality, he can't win and so wasHarden! It's not just about talent!
Stop insulting the 90s Portland Trailblazers. When they went to the Finals in 1990, 3 of them averaged 19 or more a game in the Finals! Clyde Drexler, Jerome Kersey, Terry Porter.
    Clyde - 26.4
    Jerome - 19.0
    Porter - 19.0
    Duckworth - 15.6
That team was dope in their time. Those numbers look like guys from Superteams can make in a Finals series. They not in the hall of fame except for Clyde because they didn't win. They couldn't win. Multiple stars on one team could produce like that but still couldn't sniff a ring!
And don't forget Kev! That Warrios team were threatened by Kawhi Leonard in 2017, almost lost to Harden and CP3 in 2018 - Golden State had those series won by an injury of Leonard or CP3. That Bulls is going to make them struggle because they have long players, defensive players who can match up to each Warrior player pretty well, and those Cavs teams in 2017 and 2018 ranked among the worst Finals teams in defense ever that's why they lost. Kev, you are a casual. Listen to Iman Shumpert.

Bootleg Kev is exactly that, a bootleg analyst for a personality. As soon as he said Bron played in the 05 finals vs the Spurs I knew this man didn’t know what he was talking about. If he wasn’t watching the 05 finals, I know he wasn’t watching any Jordan finals from the 90s. Portland was tough, B2B conference finals and a finals appearance, Utah was in B2B finals in a highly competitive west and he beat Magic Johnson Lakers. Seattle was top seed in the west for a few years before finally breaking through. Any of those teams would have beat 2011 Mavs, 2012 OKC, 2015 Warriors. These new cats need to do they research before speaking on eras they have no clue about.

Pippen didn’t get it done in ‘94. End of. Call or no call. You dominate a team so you’re not in that position. But let’s forgive that one.
‘95? Pippen had half an MJ and couldn’t be the Jordan on the team and carry Jordan past the Magic.
What happened in ‘96? MJ gets a full offseason. Bulls face the SAME Magic team that bounced them except the Magic are 1 year better as a cohesive unit? Swept. And chased out the building.

The only thing people ever bring up with Lebron is 3s, rebounding and assists. Well, 3s he shoots the typical swingman % in the low 30s - so did MJ, so did Kobe, so do 95% of swingman ever to play in the league. As for rebounds, no shit, he's a forward, MJs a guard, and I guarantee anyone MJ averaged more offensive boards than Lebron. So all he really has is assists - and frankly Im not giving you a tonne of credit when you pass to Kyrie Irving and he makes a tough shot cause he's super talented.
