Mitch was great but he needs to keep it real. They played 17 games against each other. In their head to head match ups, MJ averaged 28.6 pts & he averaged 20.7 pts, not 30 🤣 which is what he was trying to imply by saying “I would drop 30.” He was an awesome player to watch though, right up there fighting for the number 2 spot with Drexler

I looked up some of the box scores of their match ups during the late 80s and early 90s when MJ was in his prime and at his peak, and yes MJ usually had the upper hand individually and in the win/loss column, but Mitch statistically basically held his own against MJ.

That's how good the league once was. And just so we're clear, Mitch Richmond was a freakin' beast. Another easy 25ppg+, if not 30ppg player in today's league.

This is a debate we have in the barbershop all the time and I was saying Kobe was the Goat over MJ at first but after I did some strong researching I believe Kareem abdul Jabbar is the Goat. I went back and looked at highlights when Kareem was young when he had the fro and the dude was unstoppable on offense, he even brought the ball up the court, plus his defense was crazy good. On top of that his accolades are better than MJ and Kobe. I'm from Kobe era but Kareem has 6 rings, more MVP titles, all time leading scorer in points, 3 national NCAA championships, 4 high school state championships, and the only reason he doesn't have 4 NCAA championships is John Wooden didn't believe in playing freshman.
