@Sparky Channel. Thanks for the demonstration of the new Milwaukee Gen 2 Sawzall. Both Sawzalls have what are called "articulating" heads and "adjustable shoes". Having adjustable shoes lets you move the shoe so that the tip of the blade can safely be used for sawing, especially if the tip would otherwise hit a wall or other thing that's in its way. Otherwise, people would need to try and saw using the tip unsupported (can break the tip) or just break the tip so that the tip doesn't keep hitting the wall. It's always annoyed me that some manufacturers don't always make their recip saws with both a articulating and adjustable shoe.
Hope you and your family stay safe and well.

Excellent points. That's a very important point when you're cutting cast iron pip[e out of a wall. I hate bending up blades by hitting something. LOL!
      Stay safe!

I still have my V28 sawzall from 2005! I have the gen 1 as well but that V28 is just BEAST! I have updated the battery to 28V- 5ah(got it from England)! Still, all Milwaukee sawzalls are just awesome!

I own the Makita XRJ04Z and XRJ05Z. The latter has the rafter hook, brushless motor, LED light, adjustable shoe, a 1 1/4 inch cutting stroke, and a 2 speed transmission. I think the 2 speed transmission is the ONLY thing the 2821 doesn't have. But the 2821 does look and sound like it has considerably more guts than either Makita sawzall.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I do wish the XRJ05Z's LED light wasn't so small. It does light up your work area, but the 2821 seems to have a bigger light too.

I just got this saw in the mail today. Can’t wait to try it out.
Bill, Milwaukee just released the Torch Nitrous blade that is specifically for Cast Iron. Look for it next time.

Excellent, I'll have to try it out. I work on old houses all the time so I'm sure have more occasions to try it out. I was very impressed with the carbide blade except that it's a slow starter on cast iron. I think you'll really like the saw. Did you get it with the case?

I start with a grinder then use the reciprocating saw, it's less stress on the house rattling...

Excellent! That's a really good combination.

My first drill i ever baught was a dewalt their cheapest hammer drill and i charged it up and threw it in the bag and into the back of the truck. Later that day we were on the highway and noticed smoke coming from the tailgate. Caused alot of damage and there wasn't any drill to show for it after. The fire was caused by the battery. I later purchased the Milluakee Hammer drill in the hard case and it has served me well for years. Big fan of the Milluakee Brand

U have always used my blades upside down! I guess when I was learning the trades, this was how I learned to do it! It doesn't feel right in the normal position!

    • @SparkyChannel

The blade can go either way. I'm an advocate of using the blades whichever direction is handiest.

Great saw ... I still have and use my 18v DeWalt reciprocating saw that I bought in 1998 in the combo kit . I replaced 2 18v batteries on Amazon for $30.00 . They work great .. Just sayin'...

I saw that video explaining how to fix a BOOTLEG GROUNDED receptacle on your channel now do how to fix a HOT/GROUND reversed receptacle.

    • @SparkyChannel
      @SparkyChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi! Hot/Ground reversed receptacle is incredibly dangerous. If you ever see it, turn off that circuit breaker or if you don't know what circuit breaker controls it turn off all the electricity to the house and call an electrician. If I was to make a video about it that's all I would say. It's too dangerous.
