- It is a long video but it has everything. Lots of shunting, upwind/downwind sailing, a bit of paddling and short shunting into narrow channel using both rudders at the end.
I sailed deep reefed. It is cold out there and I had iPhone bungeed to a stick. Didn’t want to get it wet.
2.4 nautical miles, max speed 7 knots, average speed 2.4.
The boat is fully capable of speed in teens. In summer time :) - ตลก
Got to admire a guy who can develop a boat. It’s what I do. People say “ why don’t you buy a professionally built one” but there’d zero intellectual stimulation in that. Love it mate.
Well Done! Very Fast Shunts!! Impressive... Keep Shunting, Balkan Shipyards
Very clever sheeting arrangement. Keeps everything central and reduces the amount of line hanging over the side from the lazy sheet. I might borrow that...
Thanks for sharing the video! Impressive. What a nimble boat
Some you got the boat to balance well without shifting your body weight through a shunt -- nice!
That was the goal! One of many...
👍👍👍
300 successful open water miles in the Drama Queen... a very respectful tip o' the hat to you, CR! DKHT
Thank you, Per. Your ship has totally surreal look at night…
Very cool! Though I must note that I can do an average speed of 2.4 knots in a kayak. Just saying....... 🤣🤣🤣
But you will have to work for this!!! :D
Only one criticism. Too much to do with your hands. When I sail single-handed, it’s cos there’s a can of beer in the other.
Well, once the boat out in clear water it goes in straight line without any input. It actually can be set to self steer.
