- My first visitors arrive from the U.K. and some more jobs get completed inside my Old Stone House Portugal. I also start the clean up process outside in the courtyard, inbetween spending time with even more friends arriving from the U.K.

Hello Suzie, had a similar thing in France. A lovely decked area with a conctrete breeze blocked wall behind. I painted it lemon and on it, I painted wall planters with flowers cascading down. Also put a couple of real long planters on top of the wall and filled them with flowers and trailing ivy - you will completely transform it. The fun starts now with all the summer projects you want to do to make your courtyard pretty. Doing the same here in my little English country garden.
Sounds lovely Elizabeth. I need to finish clearing up everywhere and then I’m going to see what evolves. I have ideas keep popping into my head. Let’s see 😀💕
It will be easier to cut the door
Maybe after creatively painting the structure, you will decide to keep it. You could always use the walls for storage and holding some of your tools, etc. Once the door can be closed and locked it is an area where you can lock up things when you are out of town as well. Would it not be beneficial to use the other area as a carport and just repair the roof, rather than tearing it down? There is so much potential for outdoor entertaining in your courtyard too. Such a cute place.
Maybe, although ultimately I prefer to see the view. I am still trying to envision how I want the courtyard area to look. I think it’s just going to evolve. 😀💕
Hey Suzi, great video, lovely to meet your friends ❤xxx
Thank you on behalf of all of us!!! 😂
Suzi have you seen where someone broke those broken tiles and made a pathway between vegetables. It worked great maybe you could try it!
Yes, I have. Let’s see 🙏💕
Great work around your land
Thank you Miriam 🙏💕
8K! I am so happy for you!
Thank you!! 🙏🥰
Are you able to bring your cat to the vet?, I thought to myself he seemed rather thin for an adult cat but when you noticed he had ticks I thought maybe that was the reason why, cause I know youre feeding him. I dont mean to insult you mentioning this. Painting sunflowers is a fun idea.
I’ve checked him over and can’t see any ticks. He’s a bit of a picky eater and unfortunately the neighbours feed him human food which doesn’t help. I’ve bought him some good quality food to see if that helps him gain some weight. If not I will take him to the vet to get him checked over 🙏💕
Hi Suzi, nothing stops you from investigating hidden things around your property, but ,please take care..you don't want any surprise...
Better ask locals to help. Some extra bits of work aren't easy for you to tackle. Even though you're very strong and determined.
Maybe you could start pointing the many little stone walls around.
Best wishes for the rest to be done.❤
Don’t worry Luisa. I will get help 🙏💕
Hi Suzi great video enjoyed you outings and like your future ideas. Enjoy
Thank you for your nice feedback. Always appreciated 🙏💕
Can the door to the septic tank be taken off its hinges and moved past the concrete then screw it back on? Love the sunflower idea. 🌻🌻
Or change the door so that it opens out rather than in. Useful storage room.
Good idea but it wasn’t possible. It has now been resolved 😀💕
Have you thought about growing a climber on the front of the aepttank building - bougainvillea or plumbago would be lovely and provide a lovely thing to look at from the house.
I would really prefer to see the view. I will plant a passion fruit plant and bougainvillea once I’ve tidied everything up 😀💕
Hi Suzi...So nice to see you up and about doing more clearing of property! It's a great idea to paint that structure, can't wait to see what you do to it.
Great video with your friends!
Take care, see you next week!❤👍🌻🌷🐈
Thank you Linda 🙏💕
Yay, congratulations on your success.
Thank you so much! 🙏💕
This kitty is your kitty.
It's looking great...so what now for the adega?
Thank you 🙏 I’m going to talk about the Adega in this weeks video 😀💕
❤❤❤
What building is that you're working on? I noticed it has a wooden window frame like your house, the roof looks sad. Also, did you get the strimmer you bought fitted with a string attachment? On the Channel Portugal DreamZzz he bought an attachment for his strimmer, I cannot describe it I've set here trying but, anyway, maybe you could check out that channel and ask him about it!
It’s currently just a store room. You are right the roof needs renewing. I did buy one of those metal cylinders for the grass cutter 😀
❤
Naa Suzi❤
You paid so much money for the remodeling and still your front door has a gap up and down, bigger than a inch.
You need a curtain for the winter or fix it.
The front door was actually not part of the build. It needs to have this gap as in the winter the rain makes the wood swell. I have a length of door brush that will go on the bottom of the door. At the moment it’s nice to allow the air to circulate under it into the house as it’s very hot here now during the days. 😀💕
Oh please just knock it down, 20mins it would take to come down, I agree with your last comments about the view from your bedroom would be much better, a shed isn’t needed there as you have other out houses for that
I agree Katherine. However, I need a digger to lift off the granite from the top. I would like to repurpose it, maybe as a table top. It will happen 🙏💕
@@dreamlifeportugal outdoor table maybe
Hi Susie can I suggest the it might be easier to cut a piece and of the door rather than chipping concrete on the septic tank. Reason the tank is permanent and from what you’ve said the shed is not. Painting the eyesore shed is a great idea which you can have some fun with.
Love the yellow dress btw.
Thanks Peter for the suggestion. My plan is to cover the concrete with stones once I remove the building so chipping away a bit isn’t really an issue. It’s been done. I like my yellow dress too 😀💕
Looking forward to you painting the sunflowers there Suzi, have a good week xxx
Yes, I forgot about the view. That's the most important thing.
Hi Suzi, Its lovely seeing you at home in the new house. Great to see your visitors and you out and about with your friends. The outside jobs you’re doing are quite hard work, take care in the sun and be careful up and down the ladders, Lol 😂I speak from experience. See you next week ❤
Hi Jean, I’ll take care. Thank you so much for joining my channel membership. It’s really appreciated 🙏💕
Thank you for sharing this video and showing us your friends❤ I think painting the walls of the septic room is a good idea (in the meantime) and in the future, you can tear it down. I believe the view without this room is stunning, though... Ms. Kitty loves to follow you everywhere- so sweet and cute ❣️🐈❣️. Can't wait to see your project with the water tank 👍😊👍
Yes, absolutely. And kitty loves to me near me although he gets under my feet a lot. Water tank is progressing nicely 😀💕
Good idea to keep it. I would also paint it, fix that door and paint it in blue shades. Could one install shelves for your garden tools, etc in it? House turned out pretty good!
Keeping it is just a temporary measure until I can get it removed. It’s not quite made the top of my priority list yet. 😀💕
Hi Suzi, Beautiful view at that Hotel wow just a great lake view! Glad you had some friends visiting you. All the cities and towns in Portugal are so beautiful. You can just feel the oldness there I love it. Nothing like having a cute cat when you you don’t own a cat! He really is quite cute and obviously loves you!
Hi Barbara, yes Portugal has so many beautiful historic towns. It was nice to have friends visit. Now it’s back to work! 😀💕
Hi Suzi, it must of been great to see Michelle & John, I hope they are feeling better now. Your place is looking so great. I hope to visit one day. I'm looking forward to seeing you paint the outhouse, especially with flowers, take care,
Sonya xx
Hi Sonya, yes it was great to have them here. You’re always welcome. 🌻💕
Hi Sonja. We were honoured to be able to visit! I hope you can visit soon, it is well worth the trip!! The house truly reflects Suzi's labour of love.
Hi Suzi, if you really hate that " outhouse" (eyesore at the mo) get a quote from handyman, who will take down both structures pronto! Then you have the other one for tools etc. If you plant anything out of a pot, the roots will eventually block your french drain. I'm sure you have pictured it all gone, repurposing the tiles and cement blocks as you did at previous house. I suppose the electrics are safely cut off and water connection to basin and loo. Two nice pots with trays on painted septic tank tops will be your immediate view. Or stick with the vintage look and beautify it! Ideal area to park two cars and have the usual 4 steel poles with tent awning over!
My priority is the dipping pool currently. I will need to hire a man with digger to lift off the granite roof of the outside bathroom as it has a very heavy huge piece of granite. No way any people can lift this and I would like to repurpose it as you mentioned. Beautification will happen all in good time. Love your comments every week, thank you 🙏💕
Viva Espanha too!Viva la vida!Keep enjoy.🌼🤗
👍
Good for you
My cats love a project too 😂
😂😂
Tudo lindo 😍 🎉🎉🎉
Obrigada 🙏💕
Boa tarde Suzi espetacular obrigado querida ❤
Obrigada Luísa 🙏💕
Ou cortar o necessário na porta em baixo, ou faze-la abrir para fora
It’s been sorted 😀💕
Ça me parait plus compliqué de découper du béton que le bas d’une porte? Pourquoi y tenez vous ? Bon courage pour continuer avec ces n’énerva les murs!❤
The door is metal so would have been a lot harder to cut. The concrete took a few minutes to do 😀💕
@@dreamlifeportugal ah ok 👍
Kitty is trying to tell you something...it's too heavy, Mom!!! Don't try it!! Be safe! lol
I think you are right 😂😂
2:15 uaaauuuuuu😮
If it were my small breeze block building, i would get creative to beautiful it with paint, lattice and climbing roses and keep it for valuable storage for your garden tools and other things! 🪴🌹
