Damn headboard was so tall, I felt like I was a convict trying to find a way to escape out the bedroom window, with no possible way to scale the “wall”! 😂😂 This headboard may work ok in certain houses. But this DEFINITELY was not one of those...

The black paint is overwhelming, the bedside lamps appear to be screwed into the walls, and the ceiling fixture is too big and too low for the space.
I really love how came out the only thing that I don't like is the headboard that cover the window...but really a great job 👍😍

I notices that too but I assume it was staged for the video and as a rental it would be empty. Those sconces will probably be destroyed by the first renter though.

I'm dead!!! It's a ranch house, those are storage cellars for canned foods that have been preserved. Homesteading is essential and should be protected. With all the food shortages and things we've experienced with covid, being self-sustaining would be perfect but instead, so many people consider it impractical. Land is wealth baby!
I agree and I think the house just looks really cool. If I saw that it had a shooting range I would buy it in a heartbeat lol

It’s impractical but let it be a state of emergency all the people who can’t pull money out of stock and struggling to liquidate assets are gonna be coming to the homesteaders for aid and safety. The average American buys meat from the grocery store daily but doesn’t know that a single beef cow will provide meat for a family of four for a YEAR.
It'll be a great spot for people that are interested in actually living in the home, not just making money off of it.

I agree and this day and age the prepper thing is quite popular. For the right price the other property would have been awesome.
It is texas! Its not hard to find a Person who wants a big Yard and a gun range. Also the bowling alley was a great idea i would love to have one in my house.

That house is perfect for my mother who likes guns and solar energy. Plenty of Texans would be into the gun range.
Even if someone doesn’t want an underground gun range, that’s a great house and people can do whatever they want with the space including ignoring it and pretending it doesn’t exist. I dont see how that would be a turn off for buyers unless they try to charge more because of the gun range.
The only detail I thought was awkward was the low hanging huge chandelier light fixture in the bedroom. If this is going to be an airbnb, then I guess it would work. But for long term renters, it limits what can be done in the space and they will probably be asked to have it taken down.
I liked the chandelier, the problem I had was the giant headboard put in front of the window! the same style of headboard but just shorter would have looked much less heavy and let more light in.

My family was limited to one bathroom for awhile, because our downstairs toilet wasn't working. When we had guests over it was up to 13 people, one bathroom was not enough fam. Also it's just more comfortable to have your own it's weird but it just is.
Thank you for removing those popcorn ceilings! That was the one thing I insisted on in our fixer. We are living in ours though. The smooth ceilings just make the whole house brighter and cleaner looking. I would never want anyone to pay to live with that!

The decoration in the first house before Reno literally looks like a EA built house on the sims 4 - that game is what got me interested in house flipping

Biggest surprise to me was to find out that they are not a married couple. What a friendship and a business partnership you guys have.
When you are renting, and you put bold colors, it makes it hard if the renter has a totally different color scheme. I would use a more a basic color that would go with many color schemes. I doubt you would allow them to paint over what you just did. All in all, the house looked cute
But that makes it BORING!
I've found that concept to not be true. All my rentals have at least one bold color choice, and when folks swipe em up, that's one of the first things they mention.
You can buy cable concealers and then just paint them with the same wall paint you used so its more seamless instead of doing exposed wires.

I really like that color scheme in the kitchen. I feel like it will cater to a wide array of tenants and will make your house more fun than other options

I love most of the reno. I only didn't like the low hanging lights especially above the bed. I think it would get in the way ;) haha. But if my bf sat at the end of the bed he might hit his head on it. Everything else looks great though.

Swap the light fixtures in the living room and master, LR has the ceiling height for the chandelier and the master would be beautiful with that fan

I usually love everything you guys do but this time around, there were a couple things I would've done differently. I didn't like the ombre paint, I think all white would've looked better. And since you painted almost the entire front of the house white, the brick wall would've looked a lot better with white paint as well. What bothered me most was the master suite. That huge bed frame covering almost the entire window, the color of the accent wall making the room extra small, and that huge chandelier for such a small space, just no no no. The living room, bathroom, and kitchen I really liked.
Agree with this. The master bed was hideous and blocked all the light. other than that I really liked the rest of the house.

Painting the outside walls white made that rock in the front look dingy. Should have chose a color that would compliment the rock.
They do this all the time. It makes me crazy. Even Joanna Gaines, the queen of farmhouse, knows you can't just paint everything black and white. Bright white looks AWFUL with Austin stone.
Would have been fine if they had just painted the stone too. I actually really like the look of white painted stone.

Two items popped out at me. The kitchen shelves and countertop should have been extended to the door as the countertop area/shelving are minimal. Secondly, a small horizontal upper window in the bathroom over the tub could add some light in the bathroom and help eliminate moisture.

It's not sensitivity, it's just respect and no one wants unnecessary negativity. What if that was your moms house or the house you grew up in? It'd be funny if it was a few jokes here and there but its 24/7 and on every video. To each their own.... oh well.
Its called humor. I enjoy hearing the banter! Jfyi they were not making fun of the disable toilet, but the location in which it was found. I would much rather hear them speak freely than to hide. Humans are not meant to be 100% positive. That would be fake. Accept reality, they have fun with it and you shouldn't take it so seriously.

The kitchen and bathroom turned out really bright and cheery. Good choice of colors.
I wasn't so sure about the grey floors, but I think it works ok. I'm assuming they were very cost effective?
One thing that didn't work for me was the black trim. For the small house, I think the stark color overpowered the whole aesthetic.
Overall, great flip! Super inspiring for me and my husband. I'm super impressed with the quick turnaround! Someone is really going to enjoy this home.

Astounded they found a place in Round Rock at that price point. Genuinely see not a single 1 bathroom house available in Round Rock today. The cheapest I see is a 270,000 1.5 bathroom apartment. Wish I'd been in the circumstance to buy 2 years ago.

This house and backyard was very cute. A great home for a young couple starting out. I actually liked the first home with the built in gun range. The main house was mostly cosmetic updating as well and that room was perfect as a pantry which I noticed the 2nd house didn't have. The 1st property would be awesome for a modern day homesteader with upgrades. Congratulations on reaching 100,000 subs!!
I was thinking the hombre was going to be a mistake, but I was wrong. I like it. That being said, the color change from the second to third row is too much, and the color change from the fourth to fifth row isn’t enough, but otherwise, it looks great.

I am a master at mixing paint so I was like oh no! when I saw their mixing technique. You can't simply fraction it out equally because some colors over power others so it must be done little by little to get the right colors.
