Can’t you connect them directly with the wires?

This is good to see! That drivers side first bulb is notorious for burning a hole through the metal sensor part. I've replaced taillights because of this & that gets pricey! I'm definetly going to try this picture hook technique!

How to open that tail light?

The tail light assembly unbolts from the inside of the trunk. The circuit board is accessible once you unbolt the whole assembly from the car.
