Hey Chris! I bought your D-rose 6’s off you a few years back! Loved this video and the adidas history you gave. I’ve been watching you since the beginning I think almost 2 decades now? I was just a kid that couldn’t afford shoes and watched your videos and then you released the Kmart protégés shoe line. It was a great throwback for me. Now I’m a broke military vet with a body of a 70 year old but decided to break out into performance reviews and you are one of my inspirations for my channel. The drose 6 is a holy grail for me and I think the best implementation of boost imo. That soft goodness in the heel was pure gold 🥇! These are clean, but genuinely hate the upper, just too much dead space for my liking on top of my foot and the way it flexes definitely feels robotic and not natural. Still a Jordan 1 type effect because the looks is just that unique and credit is due on adidas. Hoping they don’t screw up the AE2!
I couldn’t wait for the lows to drop, the mids I had to go down a half size just to get better support and minimize the deadspace in the forefoot. The lows I went true and they fit me amazing, they feel significantly lighter on foot too. Can’t wait to get them on court

While I wanted to do the lows, I heard there was heel slippage problems from the basketball shoe Reddit, so I played it on the safe side and got the mids cause I know for sure I need as little chance as possible for my shoe to come off. Glad to know they’re actually very good but there was too many heel slippage comments for my liking.
I copped 11.5 cause most adidas I have to size up, then saw all the AE1 reviews saying they run big, good to know the lows don’t have that problem thankfully 🙏🏾

Got the chance to play in mids and this low top version. Weight is really a big factor for me. Since I have bad knees, I prefer these low tops for them being lighter without sacrificing cushion and impact protection. Adidas is really killing it right now. I hope the folks at Nike is keeping an eye on how good 3stripes is right now. Nonetheless, AE 1 Low is surely the " bang for the buck " shoe this 2024.

Dope that they made subtle changes to improve an already great shoe don’t know if I’ll get the low or wait for the bred color way I have 2 pair so far. Can’t wait for the review of the AJ 39 got mine in today and super comfy, great lockdown, traction seems great and true to size in my opinion.

Got the mids awhile back and I’m definitely picking up the lows after seeing the vid. The issue I had with the mid was putting on the sneakers and the low takes care of that . Hope they release more colors in the low tho

Totally agree about Jason. Dude was mad sus. Zack was my favorite outside Tommy because of his fighting style Hip Hop Kido. Trini's Yellow Ranger costume looked the best to me before the Green Ranger came along. As for this shoe, it will be copped eventually. Really enjoy the AE1s I have but happy they removed those bottom lace grommets. These lows will be my beaters. Great video as usual and thanks for the content.
I had copped the grey marble highs (because I love the highs so much and my launch pair is really scuffed) but after seeing this video I'm returning the highs and ordered the lows. Plus this gives me a reason to have both in active rotation.
Having watched many videos and reviews before my purchase, my suggestion is to go up at least half a size. I typically wear a US 9 for most sneakers but went up to a US 9.5 for these, and they fit me well without any heel slippage.
Favorite power rangers are easily Carter and Ryan (red and titanium) from light speed rescue, followed by Wes and Eric (Red and Quantum) from Time Force
After a week of playing in these, I think I’m gonna wear these for casual use instead. I feel like my heel slips off even with thicker socks and thicker insoles and sizing half down. Plus the weight even after sizing down does not help much. It’s just not my playing style but I do wear Yeezy 700s in all 3 versions (V1/2/3) and I can say that I can at least just style these shoes like that. I’ll still buy most colours they release in this model because of that.
Never owned a pair of the original mid tops. I hooped for about 2 hours in these a couple of days ago and they honestly felt really uncomfortable on my feet. Maybe they just need to break in, but perhaps it’s the ‘light boost’ effect not covering the entire midsole. Been hooping in the lebron 20 lows and they’ve felt comfortable since day 1
Interesting because I’ve seen Anthony Edwards switch out of the lows into the highs in multiple games last season. Seems awesome for casual use though.
I finally tried on my pair. I was worried because I had yet to try them on and there have been so many conflicting reviews. Some say true to size, some have said go up half a size and others said go down half a size. My true size is an 8 regular. I am sooooooo glad I went half a size down. If I would of gone with my regular size they would have been to big and I would have heel slippage. Going down half a size didn't make me feet feet too constricted in the shoe either, was not tight for me. Hopefully this feed back helps anyone debating on what size to go for but definitely try them on in store if possible

I like the cushioning in the lows. A lot. I’ll just be using them for casual wear tho. I play outside and I’m not demolishing these. I get shoes at the outlet for that.
i got the all-star colorway (the best one, dont @ me), and beacuse of the short throat i couldnt even get in the damn shoe. so i had to go up 1/2 size and i can definetively feel that they are a tad roomy in the forefoot for me. ill be getting these but in the right size and save the pretty ones for posterity while the lows will 100% get battle-scared.

Fun fact: if the shoes are made as low top after a high top version, they tend to feel slightly smaller. Certain models apply.
