Ima going to be honest this shoe is not for every baller if ur athletic like to cut run around stop on a dime change direction this shoe tore my Achilles up I can’t ball in em at all if ur a big and dnt mind being that agile and more stationary may work but for small guards I promise there’s a lot of better options and more comfortable I’m hoping when the lows come out that the carbon fiber plate in the doesn’t sit as high cuz it set me a week every time I balled in em real tlk
Anthony Edwards, despite the current dilemma, is quickly becoming my favorite nba player. That being said, the Trae young 3, the Don Issue 5, the Harden Volume 7 (8 looks promising) have been probably adidas best full display of signature shoes in a while. I’m also excited for Dames new shoe, as he is long overdue for a new shoe.

Purchased this shoe over the weekend, the commercials made me feel like a 90s kid all over watching Jordan’s Nike commercials.. marketing still matters .
Love the marketing they did for them. And it reminds me of a newer version of a Yeezy basketball shoe!

sooo happy you said this about the sizing. i tried them on in store and went true to size, they feel floppy. velocity blues came out today and im HYPED i scored a pair and definitely went half size down

The is a pretty sick design. I like wild wraps and shit thrown onto shoes sometimes like the giant wing on the Penny 1. Love how it also wraps around through the midsole and outsole and just...flows man. They also look comfy as hell.
No chance I'll ever wear these in the office but if I can get my lazy ass back on the basketball court again some day who knows!

Love the shoe, love Ant. I can only see him getting more numbers in the league as years go by. Would love to see him get more acting gigs as well, loved him in Hustle and IMO he's one of the few ballers who can really convincingly act.

First, love the podcast and all the nerd shit. Great to see you guys branching out. 2nd, in a year where Nike's given us downgraded tech and shittier shoes for higher prices, Adidas could actually make a comeback with the AE's. This is the first new shoe I've looked forward to in a long-ass while and it looks legit between price/tech/performance. If Adidas can keep building on this, we might actually see some viable competition between the big 2. Also, Jodi being here for the tea with Ant is hilarious. Kid is def making some of those Zion moves off the court lol.
My friend bought these to ball up in. They are beautiful in person. He is a bit flat footed and is particular with shoes and he enjoys them.
They look great on feet. I would love to see a low top version and really looking forward to other colorways.

I was waiting for someone to talk about those tiny holes triggering trypophobia cause I have one. I'm really hesitant to buy this because at first I can't look at it for a long period of time, but now I think I'm getting over it every time I watch reviews, other reviewers doesn't talk about trypophobia and you did, that's why your reviews are the best. I think I'll get that new release, the AE1 Coral.
I was almost upset they sold out in my size (13) but footlocker added more pairs and was able to cop. I can’t explain it either but these shoes are just a new and unique design. I love that Adidas is really taking focus on their basketball line. The DONs too, the design is just phenomenal. I’m excited to get these in the mail. And of course if there is a performance review on these 👀 send da video 😂

@@Westside_Hippie yeah on the day of release I tried online, but then they restocked a 13 like an hour later. I couldn’t go in store because I worked. But I knew my footlocker would be sold out they only get like 3 sizes in 13 in any shoe unless it’s a super GR

Thanks for these great reviews! They save me a lot of money and time! My fav shoe is the Jordan 36 because of the max cushioning in the forefoot and the eclipse plate that provides massive energy return. Anyone aware of any other shoes that are comparable? Only issues with the J's are width and a little forefoot instability. Wade 10’s don’t provide the same springboard effect as the J’s.

This year i think as far as their signature line up is by far the best across the board. I think Adidas hit it out the park. All shoes look like a push towards the future. They did an excellent job.
