I have not used G! My younger two still use SYS, but my oldest needed a change of pace. I actually have G in my cart to order, so I will try to post something when I get it, but it probably won't be until this summer.
@@handsathome Yes! This is my second year using it, and I'm doing it will all three of my kids, currently grade 6, 3 and Kindergarten. It's so simple, but I really do believe it pays off more than other spelling programs, because kids are using the words in context.
@@karlacanon2507 I agree, this is a great way to work on spelling. I do something very similar with ny daughter. I get her spelling words, copywork and dictation from her McGuffey reader. I'd like to give this a try to lessen MY load of prep work. I only have 2 kiddos in school right now, but soon it'll be 3 then 4!
@@karlacanon2507 It's been a few years since this video... Are you still using Spelling You See? I started SYS with my Kindergartener, and he really likes it. He's also doing All About Reading Level 1, and I was planning to start All About Spelling once he finished AAR Level 1, but I'm having a hard time deciding. I did six levels of All About Spelling with my middle son, and we got really tired of it, so I am not looking forward to teaching it again. He switched to Spelling You See (He just finished D and will start E next week), and I plan for him to stick with it, but I'm debating whether or not my youngest should do at least the first few levels of All About Spelling, or if Spelling You See is really good enough to use all the way through elementary. Anyway... just wondering if you've stuck with Spelling You See or not! :) Thanks!
Aww, thank you! I definitely go in spurts with posting! I always have lots of ideas, it's just finding the time to carry them out! I want to do a video of some of the things we are doing this fall, so I will try to get on that!
Have you used level G since this video? I'd love a look inside that level but haven't found one here on you tube.

@@karlacanon2507 ok, thank you for the reply!
Thank you for a thorough video.
I'm glad you found it helpful! :)

@@karlacanon2507 Look forward to the new video!
So how many times a week to do one book a year? I like this idea
My goal is to do the copywork/dictation for one passage every week. This doesn't always happen of course, but that's what I shoot for!
