Hey friend...this curriculum sounds great! Love that they work with physical tiles they can use to help them spell. I also love that it's scripted. Excellent overview of this curriculum ! 🙌☺️
This looks awesome!!! I can see that each kid needs their own student pack!!! My twins don’t learn at the same pace!!! My kids would have a lot of cards to review looking at their spelling at the moment!!!
Absolutely! I have a video on them actually, and a link in the description here to get the printables for free: th-cam.com/video/9eT3nyAHPJY/w-d-xo.html. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! We've been doing AAR level 2 with my reluctant reader. Do you think we would benefit greatly from using both programs? What we're currently doing for spelling is I gave him write spelling sentences with 6 of the words he's working on that day in AAR. And also some days I dictate those words to him to spell. I feel like he's definitely progressing in this way but always wondering if something else would be better.😊
Thank you for watching! I think if I was seeing progression with what you are doing, I would keep doing that! How is his spelling typically when he writes for other work/subjects?
I TOTALLY understand that!! I’m sure you are doing great 💜. And it sounds like you are very in-tune to how he is doing, so if he starts needing a little extra, I bet you’ll know. But I’d stay the course for now if it’s working well! 😊
It’s the “letter tiles for learning app”, their own app that you can use with the curriculum. If you search for that (or all about spelling) in the App Store, you should find it!
@@blessedhomeschool Forgot to mention this. Yes, we loved it. We will be continuing and I am definitely going to have to try the new color version. I am seeing improvement. Nothing major but I think it’s slow and steady with this program.
The magnetic letter tiles do not come with the spelling sets. They are sold separately on the website. We use the small photo storage boxes from Hobby Lobby for our cards. The cards fit perfectly, and the boxes are $2.50. The biggest difference I can see from the black and white edition is that the TM is over 100 pages more in the color edition. It includes Advanced Application for older students. The black and white manuals don't have that.
I ordered All About Reading for my 2nd grader. I wonder if adding All About Spelling would be too much? She learned to read but still can’t spell anything.
Which level of AAR did you purchase? I think they recommend adding AAS once you get to AAR level 2. You could always try it, and if it’s just too much, slow it down a bit. We are taking our spelling lessons very slowly. I used to get stressed when my girls struggled with spelling, but I’m learning it’s a long game for us!

The review is so helpful!! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for this in depth flip through! It was really helpful :)
Thank you for watching! I’m glad it was helpful!
Would you be able to share a link for the charts you have on your white board, left of the magnetic tiles, please?
Absolutely! I have a video on them actually, and a link in the description here to get the printables for free: th-cam.com/video/9eT3nyAHPJY/w-d-xo.html. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Are the word banks big enough in the teacher guide that I could as the teacher read all the words?
Yes they are! 😊
@@blessedhomeschoolThank you for your help!

His writing is definitely so-so but progressing. But I'm probably your typical mom wondering how we could do it better.😅 Thanks for you input!❤

Hi. What is the app you mentioned for the practice with all about spelling level 3? Thanks!
It’s the “letter tiles for learning app”, their own app that you can use with the curriculum. If you search for that (or all about spelling) in the App Store, you should find it!
We used this the current school year and finished level 1 and almost finished up level 2 with my 10 year old.
Sounds just like us! Will you move to level 3 and continue with it?

Thank you for that clarification and suggestion for the boxes! Great idea!!

So are there spelling tests after each lesson?
There aren't really "tests"; but each lesson you review old spelling words until they are mastered, in addition to learning new words.
@@blessedhomeschool thank you for the quick reply
Are the student pages perforated/can be removed from the book?
