Im actually studying for plane mechanic. It all started with ace combat. This summer im done with my study and will be a certified plane mechanic and will be working in the airforce of the netherlands. Can you imagine from playing ace combat to plane mechanic

Some fun facts.
- The ADFX Morgan is an homage to the Macross series. Its design is based on the YF-19 Excalibur from Macross Plus. The placement of the laser on the top of the fighter is a reference to how the YF-19 mounts its long-range fold booster that allows it to travel interstellar distances.
- Forward-swept wings allow for higher angles of attack without stalling. This combined with vector thrusting (which the Raptor uses to achieve similar characteristics) would give the Morgan incredible agility.
Hell, Kawamori(the creator of Macross) even designed the asf-x shinden from assault horizon

lacucaracha111111 I wouldn't personally mind the fictional aircraft being DLC. The only fictionals that make sense to be included in AC7 by default are the X-02 Wyvern and whatever new superplane they bring out. It would be nice to have all the others as DLC because you could pick and choose which ones you'd want. Of course, then there'd be a concern about the planes being overpriced like in AC6 and AH...

0:51 is such a great shot. The last time t felt so blown away by the aesthetic of a fictional aircraft was the first time I saw the T-47 Snowspeeder in Empire Strikes Back, which was, you know, quite a long time before this coming out. I also love how hopelessly huge the laser module is, like the earliest brick cell-phones that had 20 minutes of battery life. It is visually obvious that laser was a product of the 1990s. Ace Combat Zero came out in 2006, which is as of this writing.... *16 years ago!?* And I'll be *30* this year? What the hell happened!?
I don't know if anyone has already pointed this out or if it was planned at all, but the three special weapons of the morgan seems to represent the three ace style of ac0, with the "Ziosite" TLS representing the precision and skill of soldier, the "Hypersthene" MPBM representing the absollute destruction of mercenary and the "Morganite" ECMP not beeing a weapon but made to save life like knight were you spare your enemies and avoid unnecessary casualty.

What I never understood was why I couldn't shoot pixy down with my guns, the bullets would just fly at weird angles when they got close to pixy and I never understood how a defense system could alter the paths of bullets
Someone commented how it’s possible the ECM of the Morgan was actually an early ballistic shield like what the Arsenal Bird used over 20 years later on the Lighthouse war.

Alex Chow Ace Combat's ideal AWACS was actually the E767. Plus you forgot the B-52 Stratofortress, the usual bomber attacking your base on the first missions in some AC games

My guess would be the B-1 Lancer, due to the fact that it’s playable in both AC:AH and ACI. Although, the B-2 Spirit is also playable in those two games, so it might be that as well.

It could be the Boeing 767 AWACS. It's been in the Ace Combat franchise for so long.
This thing is a monster in AC7. You can slap around Sol Squadron, Mihaly, and the two Ravens with near-impunity using the MPBMs.
The block 1’s paint scheme is a fairly standard low cost paint scheme for use for surface protection, you can even find picture of production airliners painted this way, even flying in it when they’re painted somewhere other than where they’re built.
Morgan also has that thing where the canards almost have edge alignment with the wings but they just miss it.
Intake design is actually somewhat stealthy, but would be better if their flanks weren’t so close to vertical. The nose and canopy aren’t stealthy at all.
The wings are all wrong for how this aircraft is meant to perform, they don’t have enough chord. Very high wing loading, very poor lift at high angle of attack. They are also very far back, making me doubt whether this plane has relaxed stability. It’s a blended wing, but the lift from the body is still pretty far back and I don’t think will be sufficient for relaxed stability.
It’s also looks way too much like the YF-19. Wow I had thought that Shōji Kawamura had designed them both, but his only ace combat plane is the shinden II.
The Morgan seems inspired by Macross Plus' YF-19. The wing shape is similar and the TLS resemble the YF-19's Fold Booster.

Look at 5:37! This blue-yellow skin is very similar the Zolan army's VF-5000 Star Mirage in Macross 7.
The Morgan is probably my favorite ace combat aircraft.
The only thing I would change is make the laser be more in-line with fusilage

My main issue with the morgan is how it mounts a high energy beam emitter right behind the cockpit. It’s like those enemy boss designs with a very obvious weakness that you can shoot at to bend it down towards the cockpit so the next time the enemy uses it, it basically kills itself.
Don’t forget that the one time this model was flown in combat, it was piloted by one of the two current best pilots in the world.
@@williamhanna9718 Still, it’s like putting the bridge of a ship between the enemy and it’s biggest gun. Really makes you wonder if you can’t get caught in it’s blast wake at least. Honestly expected every time the thing got fired, the bright light would blind the pilot.
To be fair,
1. This weapon was only used in the first phase of the duel, in which upon its destruction is no longer being used for the rest of the fight. (0:54, the TLS system is no longer there at the 3rd phase)
2. As mentioned in the video, Grunder Industry took the data from Morgan's crash and make the ADF-01, an improvement in every aspect of the Morgan including the TLS now placed right below the supposed cockpit, supposedly fixed the blinding light and detectable weak point issue you've mentioned.
3. I don't know how, but unlike the 02 variant retrieved by the Allied Force, the 01 variant that Pixy piloted can control the laser in all direction, even locking onto the target without having to point the plane at it. So it's not gonna be that blinding for Pixy nor much of a problem if the TLS's mount get misaligned.
Despite how tempting the laser that the jet has, I'll always prefer the XFA-27

The morgan, the only plane you need in ace combat X. except for the atmos ring mission the tls don't work there
After watching this, I was wondering why Grunder did not implement the MPBM on the ADF-01 FALKEN. I know it was omitted in Zero and Infinity to preserve balance, but the FALKEN's airframe featured external hard points on the swept wings (the very same found on the ADFX-01), which is more than capable of holding large scale ordinance such as burst missiles. Was it largely ineffective in combat (according to the lore), or was the production of said munitions too slow or difficult to allow widespread use?

As much as I love listening to Zero, you might want to dial down the music for the next KYA a little bit because your voice was a bit hard to hear at times in this video. Top notch work, anyway! =D
Imagine if Gründer Industries made a plane that was essentially Belka's answer to the A-10 Thunderbolt, complete with a 30mm rotary cannon and FAEBs (on top of that might as well make it capable of flying in a vacuum)

They buffed the TLS in the v1.10 update, but the change is so small you don't know it's there. Seriously, I couldn't tell it was buffed until someone posted a comparison video.

Great video man, always happy to see someone talking about ace combats unique aircraft, but I remembered in infinity the adfx’s description says that due to the aircraft being built in the golden age of stealth fighters, the plane was deemed a failure so it remained a prototype, but other than that really loved the video and just keep doing what you do best.

There's something about this and the CFA-44 that appeals to me. The fact that it's technologically and even scientifically(for the SPW of the Morgan) possible. Railguns, I dunno. But, lasers are in use(be it experimental or actively) by the US Military.

ECM makes your plane invincible except from the front.
Step 1: Do a 1v1 against an aircraft.
Step 2: Cover yourself with ECM.

hmm i really missed the morgan MPBM form AC0 i got the most playable time using the aircraft.
sadly because of the TLS short duration i preffer TLS on falken.
Fenrir took it away the affect of MPBM because its LSWM super wide attack that 1 shot most aircraft and ground target.
hope AC7 will add the XFA 27, Morgan,Falken, Fenrir, Varcolac (nerfed LSWM that is the most stupidly overpowered SP i ever see), CFA44, R101 delpinus (why not :D), X49 Night Raven :D.
Either a Tanker, an AWACS, a trainer or Bomber... The question is...is it playable? That should give us a real lead.
