@@Edo_Ginting I mean the definitely can work, probably won't look like that once its operational. The US and Russia have made forward swept wing prototypes that were feasible but failed due to greats amount of instability destroying Flight Control Systems (New computers could fix that, poor stability at slower speeds during landing (why it would not look that same as the image, plus a shit ton of other things), and warping/bending of the wingtips during flight (Was believed that new materials could fix that). Quite the opposite actually, stealth considerations brought new compromises to aerodynamic efficiency and performance. The raptor for example is airspeed limited by it's radar absorbent material. I do see a return to aerodynamic efficiency as stealth becomes less viable with the aforementioned advances in sensory technology.
The same way there were limits of piston fighters there are limits of jets and we are at the limit. You have a very good point. From the external look of this fighter it looks like it has very high wing loading and should be less efficient than F22 in a 2 circle turn fight.

The main idea going into 6th gen was to finally ditch vertical stabilizers to bring the insane stealth characteristics of the stealth bomber over to fighters. They've maxed that out in traditional fighter designs otherwise. New coatings may help but they can only do so much. But they are key as even current stealth coatings eat up 70-80% of radar.
I cant wait to see what the 6th gen will be. Ive worked on the F-22 late 80's early 90's tech. Which still blows my mind of what it can do. the Killswitch concept from Pan Spatial looks like that it would absolutely dominate in a Dogfight. With the option to launch from the top of the bottom of the aircraft, the ability for a high off boresight launch is probably even greater than the AIM-9X.
I know the model is just a placeholder but the real one won't have vertical stabilizers or canards. It'll basically be a triangle with as few external features as possible.
F-22 Engineer: "We did the upmost to bury the engines and mask the heat signature through baffling and airflow tricks." NGAD Designer: "Yeah... f*ck that." **welds the most obscene engines possible externally to the fuselage and enlarges exhaust nozzles for cool factor.**
Whoever designed that NGAD for DCS has to be a fan of Macross Plus. It's an almost exact representation of Isamu's YF-19 without the Tomcat's variable swept wing capability.
I feel like you will be a bit underwhelmed by the 6th Gen jets. The official concepts seen so far being the F/A-XX of the US Navy with a tail-less delta configuration according to Boeings renderings, the Airbus/Dassault FCAS which looks similar to a 5th Gen jet however with a tail configuration like that of the YF-23, the BAE Tempest which is similar to the FCAS is many aspects as well as the Mitsubishi F-X which seems to be similar to the YF-23 too. All of that implies that a greater emphasis was placed on stealth. Furthermore higher speeds for supercruise would be a next step as well. The major improvements over the 5th Gen will be systems integration, avionics, and being able to effectively work with or as UAVs. Some suggest in the future the use of lasers to counter missiles too.
Directed energy weapons will be a key component of 6th gen aircraft, both for offensive and defensive use. It's gonna be scary when UAV's are flying around with death rays.

I was stationed at cherry point for a bit. I remember this hurricane coming in and those Tomcats came in and landed at the base to ride the storm out. Man I loved seeing those skull and crossbones on those F-14’s.
You sim guys are actually doing a great service to aviation because the next generation won't have onboard pilots if they can make the comm link robust enough and StarLink might help here. Flying a sim controlling a real aircraft would remove the physical limitations of the pilot onboard and the G limits could be increased to whatever the airframe could make or take. Will be interesting to see how it goes.
@reAction It really isn't impractical at all, I would say it's the best option for a variety of reasons the first being that pilots are the most expensive part of an aircraft and losing connection or getting jammed is not ever going to happen really. Removing the pilot from the equation means that the aircraft can perform better and you don't have to prioritize pilot safety freeing up room for more instruments and tech. And it's not nearly as far out as you think.
That legit looked more like a scene from Macross or Gundam than a dogfight! If you get into an SU-57 you could practically recreate the visuals of YF-21 vs X-9 in the Macross Plus Series! If you haven't seen this mecha anime I highly recommend it for aviation fans!

ADFX-01, here we go!!
Good luck GS!!
"Spicy ejection!" That is an all timer. Right up there with when you got spooked by the f22 flying formation!
Pixy: "Yo buddy, you still alive?"
Wow! Great video!
That's the only one of your vids where I've ever seen you consistently get shot down. That thing you were fighting against is a freakin' beast!
The ngad looks like a stripped down su47.
The forward swept wings and canard.
But it lacks the fat body of the su47
Personally, I would like a BVR fight of this, that would be interesting to see their stealth capabilities.
Unfortunately Mobius One Versus an Experimental Pilot of an NGAD that was actually Piloted in Virtual Reality in 1995 in ACZ:BW, I didn't expect this
"CIPHER WHERE THE HELL AM I? I THOUGHT I WAS GUNNA BLOW UP OUR WORLD WHAT THE HELL?"
When you have thrusters that can rotate like a rocket engine nozzle, the capabilities are enhanced to a point well above limited nozzel movement.
the Killswitch concept from Pan Spatial looks like that it would absolutely dominate in a Dogfight. With the option to launch from the top of the bottom of the aircraft, the ability for a high off boresight launch is probably even greater than the AIM-9X.
I know the model is just a placeholder but the real one won't have vertical stabilizers or canards. It'll basically be a triangle with as few external features as possible.
7th gen can go two ways:
If no WW3: Spaceships
If WW3: Sopwith Camels
Aw yes my favorite Valkyrie, the VF-9A Cutlass
F-22 Engineer: "We did the upmost to bury the engines and mask the heat signature through baffling and airflow tricks."
NGAD Designer: "Yeah... f*ck that." **welds the most obscene engines possible externally to the fuselage and enlarges exhaust nozzles for cool factor.**
So you're saying it's actually designed by Russians.....
12:33 SPICY EJECTION AND THAT SPLAT SOUND LOL
This is one of the greatest crossovers to ever exist 😂
Next time you need to use a Solo Wing Pixy skin for the ADFX
Also use F-15C
I bet his survival rate would increase tremendously
Love the videos man! Keep the good work up!
Good gravy, that thing looks like it'll switch to mode G or B at any time.
Also "Spicy ejection!" *splat* lol
*Spanish Guitar and Chants intensifies*
Whoever designed that NGAD for DCS has to be a fan of Macross Plus. It's an almost exact representation of Isamu's YF-19 without the Tomcat's variable swept wing capability.
I lost it at the "splat" after .
Also, obligatory comment.
NGAD definitely starting to look like the Yukikaze.
The final ejection with the splatter sound effect got me in stitches
@@BlyGuy
Pilot: "NGAD, fire phasers!"
NGAD: "Affirmative Captain, firing phasers. The targets are destroyed."
Pilot: "Good shooting NGAD!"
NGAD: "Of course it was Captain, since I never miss."
What is going to power a directed energy weapon on a fighter aircraft? The turbine can’t afford that much power, even in a capacitor bank.
@@loumencken9644 imagine a defensive laser that basically renders missiles useless against it. Guns/AAA will become more important than ever.
That last battle when you ejected: "Oh, spicy ejection ..." SPLAT! Too much. 😀
I think the Wyvern is probably closer to what the NGAD will be like.
Or the Nosferatu.
Agreed, *can confirm*
Nah, Wyvern is cool and all, but conseptually outdated and way off from what NGAD should be. If anything, ADF-11F Raven is an ultimate NGAD: fast, stealthy, incredible combat range, UAV command&control, optionally manned/crewed, superconnectivity, etc.
Mabye when it's tucked in cos when it's wings are spread it's less stable, even though that's point of it. But either the cfa-44 or the xfa-33 are more likely the most reasonable design
@@Mobius118 Of course you'd say that Mobius 1
I wasn't ready for that "splat" sound into the building in the last dogfight
*
You had to make that splat sound on spicy ejection lol. I'm dying I was flowing my clothes and took a drink right when I heard splat. Thanks for that bro lol.
It is a known fact that NGADs all have intense flamenco and orchestra as an aura surrounding them wherever they go
It's kinda nice to see the ADFX-01 with that paint job
Okay so I am new here. Been enjoying the content, but what I really would like to see is the F-16XL.
I get it , I am not in a large group, I just hope one day someone gets around to making that jet, I always wanted to see how it would have handled itself.
Yeah, F-16XL would be super interesting. I just have to think it would basically be a Eurofighter, though
@@JohnNathanShopper Yes I thought that too.
" ...whatever futuristic plasma they put in that thing..." Bahahaha
"So....have you found a reason to fight yet.....buddy?"
Looks like a valkyrie from one of the later versions of Macross.
'Seventh Gen has to be like... spaceships.' - I woke up my wife by laughing out loud. Thanks a lot, bro.
So Growlingsidewinder is the Demon Lord?
That legit looked more like a scene from Macross or Gundam than a dogfight! If you get into an SU-57 you could practically recreate the visuals of YF-21 vs X-9 in the Macross Plus Series! If you haven't seen this mecha anime I highly recommend it for aviation fans!
This is cool. Exploring a little of what next gen might look and behave like, so sick
I am convinced that a 7th Generation fighter is going to be like the VF-1 Valkyrie variable/Varitech fighter from the Macross Series.
I can’t believe the US Military already developed an ADFX-01, just gotta work on getting the TLS now.
Nah, MPBM's
@@seantaylor2683 The US has already made MPBMs, though.
