The Bridge That Binds is from Southern Empire's self titled debut album. Clocking in at nearly 30 mins, it's one of our magnum opuses. Hope you enjoy it!
Great stuff, I love this. I have been listening to prog for many decades but after listening to Southern Empire from the start I place them at the top. Some hard rock mixed with melody and some jazz vibes, moving, whats not to like. Thanks guys 😎
Can I just, "Where have you been my whole life?" I've just discovered SE by checking out Cam and Shaun and wowzers. I wish you guys were touring in the US. I'd be there. These 28 minute pieces are so full of musicality, I'm mesmerized. Dare I say the Aussie's own "Dream Theater" no joke. I'm a fanboy of both Cam and Shawn, but now SE.
I absolutely love listening to Danny sing! The entire band is tight and dynamic, but Danny’s vocals just blow me away. With a new era of Southern Empire ramping up, we have so much to look forward too, but I will always remember this material, holding it in a special place …… just some incredibly freaking amazing stuff GUYS!
that is something that even Dream Theater could not do. This is a better mix of great melodies and Music. And they take more from a Jethro Tull, Mike Oldfield, etc, so for me, this band rules.
"What the..." I remember the name from many months ago, but did not remember the music. What progression! Master musicians relative to the early days that I listen to coming up. Uriah Heep, King Crimson, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Yes, etc. I couldn't stop this once it started. More, More, More.
I bought the first album when it was released and was totally floored by how fabulous it was.I couldn’t believe my luck when they came over to the uk and I saw them at the Robin 2 it was such a fabulous gig.The Follow up album was yet another brilliant one and on to the latest album which is absolutely stunning….Southern Empire are a band of extreme awesomeness 🎶🎶🎶

My absolute favorite song of the band, what an epic! 🍺🤘
How good does that Bass sound!!! Especially underneath the keyboard solo. Brilliant.
