I wear this in hot Australia summer heat daytime and i get compliments. Seasons mean jackshit to me when it comes to ANY fragrance, i still get compliments in 35c weather with stuff like tobacco vanille or all the elixirs especially Sauvage Elixir.
Wow. A flanker that doesn’t smell like all the previous ones! I smelled this the other day and it’s on my buy list for sure. I love dark, incense type scents that don’t smell super sweet and boring like all other designers now days.

one of the most interesting and original designer fragrances that's come out lately. In a world of Invictus like fragrances and stronger with you-one million dna, Boss launches this bomb of a fragrance. It's dark, interesting, complex, but still has sweetness and mass appeal. I never cared for boss fragrances cause they're mostly generic and weak, but I'm so glad I got a gift sample of this. I was blown away at first sniff . had I not known it is a boss, I would've guessed it's a chanel or dior, it really has that sophisticated vibe to it. I would put it in the same category as sauvage elixir, an elegant oriental spicy fragrance, with some green tones and a sweet, dark base. ( not a copy of sauvage, it does its own thing ) I like it more than sauvage elixir due to the vanilla in it .Glad Aaron confirmed my thoughts and gave it a 10, this really is a hidden masterpierce
Can’t recommend this fragrance enough, Lovely for autumn and winter, Hugo Boss really surprised me as I felt everything but their original release was lackluster but I’ve had the bottled elixir for around a month now and it’s great! just got a JPG le male Elixir for my birthday so I’m switching between the 2 this month😂
Instead of elixir I like the name Tonique because tonics are so supposed to make you happy and revitalized which is exactly how I feel when I wear Aaron's fragrances . Imagine Gaupo Tonique

Got the boss elixir for free from my cousin's perfumery and I love it. It's very strong, aromatic, masculine, high quality and unique. Used it yesterday on the way to the doctor and everyone in the waiting room tried to smell me literally 😅
If Aaron by Far the best fragrance specialist on TH-cam gives it a 10 out of 10 it should be a blind buy 100%!! I was considering Jean Paul Gaultier Elixir but I think this should be the next purchase now.
Both are great, this one is heavier and more winter appropriate where as LM elixir is sweeter and better for autumn and spring, biggest difference for me is the lavender in the opening for le male is lighter then dries down to a warmer honey and tobacco, this is rich and spicy but still great the whole way through

Fragances always remind me of names from video games like Final Fantasy, yes elixir. Other's like that are tonic, tincture, potion, ether (maybe for something super bold), remedy, ambrosia, and others. Elixir does seem overused but is somewhat defined.
This is a lovely fragrance …. Room filler lady killer…. Had nothing but love for this fragrance when I wear it… not a boss fan as a rule either but this had me hooked for about 6 months after I smelt it… so purchased a month ago now … 10/10

It's different to what most people wear but it's still got appeal, just smells so warm without being overly sweet, right amount of spice, reminds me a little of spicebomb extreme
I love it!!! This is extremly long projection i have applied it on my left hand yesterday 4:00PM and today is 9:14AM and it still smells here! Absolutly greate parfum i love it! I feel it is super strong much more as my Dior Sauvage parfum or Bleu De channel I love all of them but BOSS ELIXIR smells much and much longer.... best purchase! Greate review!

Thanks. Here's so advice to men as someone who has spent a fortune (over 200 bottles) on scents just because it's fun. At the end of the day, women don't want you smelling like vanilla and other gourmand scents. If you are looking for compliments, anything fresh with some masculine woody undertones can't be beat. This is why Creed is so popular. Light, fresh with masculine, woody undertones. Something about smelling clean and fresh signals to women, okay this guy takes care of himself. It's fine if you love scents as a hobby but at end of day if you are trying to smell good around other people, something light, fresh, and a little musky which then mixes with your own scent and pheromones is always a winner. I also find the heavier scents actually put me in a worst mood. Really affects me as I have been more aware. But when I spray something light, fresh and airy I am super confident and optimistic. Instead of Elixir, how about something using the word Essence? So instead of Onyx/Onyx extreme, you could do... Essence of Onyx. It sounds mysterious, lavish, and makes the buyer want to know more!
12 month on and this beautiful fragrance isn’t exactly cheap I bought 2 bottles- it’s that good. I agree with Aaron though - the cap and atomizer are pretty crap for the price.

Really like this one. I picked up a 100ml bottle for £75 during Black Friday and it’s a lovely fragrance. Reminds me slightly of Amouage Interlude. But it lasts a long time and is perfect for the colder months.

Not only that but it's a beer company, they aren't making competing products with Hugo Boss. I know in Japan there's a Boss Coffee, they even sell it in the US now... it appears they cannot be touched, though.

I completely adore this boss bottle elixir, espcially for the richness of the notes for the money you spend for it. I Just got it in today, ironically when you making the video. I had a man stop in his tracks just to ask me what I was wearing. I don't regert it, worth every penny.
Great video, Aaron! I suppose any substitute terms for "Elixir" would depend on the context/direction of the new creation. For example, "Dark" or "Noir" if the flanker goes in the said direction compared to the original, "Concentrated"/Concentre(e) if the flanker's concentration is higher than the original's, and so forth. Needless to say, if the flanker is, say, >50% different than the original, perhaps classifying it as a "flanker" would be meaningless, to say the least.
Love the irony of seeing this show up in my feed today as I bought it today.... I tested it yesterday and couldn't resist. It genuinely blew me away. It made me think of grand soir and encens suave. The smell on clothing the next day is intoxicating. It wasn't at all what I was expecting. It's summer here in NZ, I try not to buy out-of-season frags but I just had to.

Never really been drawn to the boss line of fragrances until the elixir... oh my!! I've never been so heavily impacted by a scent at the first spray in the store like this one... I'm a beginner at fragrances, and I really don't care for the name "elixir" in fragrances. It gives off cheap, unoriginal marketing gimmick vibes. Like someone tried it one day, people went crazy for it, and then all other companies jumped on the bandwagon. I hate that kind of stuff. Like just stay in your lane if you want to be a truly successful company.
I used to wear Hugo Boss a lot and the thing that turned me off from them was longevity. Great scents but horrible delivery. Now that I see a good bit of perfumers talk about how good they've gotten it makes me want to try them out again.
My only problem after receiving a sample from Hugo Boss of this scent was, as nice as it is, it only projected off the skin for about 3/4hrs, then you had to be in hugging distance (but, then it did last about 2/3hrs more) .... scent wise, it's nice (well made, I'll give it that) ... it just had a scent similarity to 'Bentley Men Intense' albeit (definitely) higher quality. It's swings and roundabouts for me ... great scent if projection was huge and lasted 2/3hrs longer in the air .....

Never really been drawn to the boss line of fragrances until the elixir... oh my!! I've never been so heavily impacted by a scent at the first spray in the store like this one... I own many fragrances and this is by far my favourite! I'm really looking forward to wearing the hell out of it love it!! 🤗❤️

@fredbell it's a skin scent after an hour 45 mins, sample it first.
@@marcusskyfallI get about 5 hours projection and silage. More intimate for the next 5 and skin level the next day. My uniform still smells like it and I wore this 3 days ago. I’m known to burn off some pretty potent stuff very quickly so it definitely holds up for me.

I'm a beginner at fragrances, and I really don't care for the name "elixir" in fragrances. It gives off cheap, unoriginal marketing gimmick vibes. Like someone tried it one day, people went crazy for it, and then all other companies jumped on the bandwagon. I hate that kind of stuff. Like just stay in your lane if you want to be a truly successful company.
Sounds like something travelling snake oil salesmen used to sell along with serums, ointments and tonics.
I used to wear Hugo Boss a lot and the thing that turned me off from them was longevity. Great scents but horrible delivery. Now that I see a good bit of perfumers talk about how good they've gotten it makes me want to try them out again.

My only problem after receiving a sample from Hugo Boss of this scent was, as nice as it is, it only projected off the skin for about 3/4hrs, then you had to be in hugging distance (but, then it did last about 2/3hrs more) .... scent wise, it's nice (well made, I'll give it that) ... it just had a scent similarity to 'Bentley Men Intense' albeit (definitely) higher quality.
It's swings and roundabouts for me ... great scent if projection was huge and lasted 2/3hrs longer in the air .....
Dry down reminded me D&G one Royal night.
