better hope you don't break down b/c if you do, ain't no help gonna be able to reach you unless they have one of these too. Enjoy the mosquitos, you're in for a long night :)
I wouldn't believe the concept of keel cooling one of these boats either if I hadn't ridden in one. It's actually one of the more incredible features of the design. No thru-hulls to foul or leak! Pretty ingenious. The suspended surface drive is also pretty incredible. These boats take a severe beating and keep on moving.
@@RiverKingBoatshe don’t. He’s just talking shit. That hydraulic surface drive was invented, tested and is built right here in south Louisiana, as are the other 3 mud motors ProDrive, Gator Tail, and Mud Buddy. All developed and produced right here in south Louisiana. If you want the TOP OF THE LINE aluminum boat to put a mud motor on just look up Gator Trax boats. There’s no better aluminum boat on the market. If you want this particular boat/motor/surface drive combination the company that makes these is named Metal Shark, and their boats are EXCELLENT as well, built right here in South Louisiana. Anyone besides these 4 manufacturers is a very poor attempt at trying to make a mud boat/motor and you’d be wasting your money. I live in Acadiana, nothing but bayou everywhere and these are the only 4 manufacturers we buy. Proven, bulletproof equipment that’ll serve you well for years.
No where near the performance or durability of what they've been doing in Thailand for decades. Isn't this an overhyped badly done copy? How do you justify patent claims on standard everyday use stuff used by millions? Aluminium is a very bad choice of construction. Extremely poor fatigue life, tear strength, strength to weight ratio. As for hull design, don't think you are anywhere near the level of the foam boundary layer skimming stepped hydroplanes they use in Thailand. The complexity of your drive system is a big downside also in comparison. All the clipped on hydraulics and linkages are maintenance and versatility detrimental. And obviously interfere with operator observation and control feedback. I'd love to see one of their around $4000 100+kmph 12 person carrying Toyota Corolla engined commercial water taxis in a head to head race around a swamp with your tin can. The glass over stripplank construction they use is about 40x the strength to weight and much more durable than your Aluminium, which is why noone makes race boats out of it. Your wake and propwash turbulence is far worse than the Thai stuff. Showing you are not approaching their everyday performance standards. Still. Guess your priority is profit, so the more expensive, complex, high maintenance, short lifespan, and inefficient you can make it, the more profit you make huh?
Aluminum is good for the prop on a thai long tail. I would rather break a prop than a shaft or other weak point. 100s of horsepower is stupid. No one needs it. Just lets you tear up shit and scare every fish and duck. There is a reason why there are limits on power and prop size inside any NWR or WMA. Aluminum boats are fine too. My 1542 Tracker aluminum boat with a thai long tail will go in anywhere this go and beyond it. But it won't be macho and destructive. Ok. Congratulations you just scared every duck, coot, and fish for 1 mile.
Exactly this.......people that have more money than brains will hop on this boat even though there are way better looking and performing boats for way less
You all still making this, it's bad ass!
