    Just wanted to thank you for the great video! I've used your advice on mods for TM MWS and man it was so helpful! Thanks again, stay safe!

    question do you have a good video for taking apart the mk18 mws thats what I got I know people have issues with the barrel nut because of making a custom tool to take it apart. then my 2nd question would be in terms of changing rails is it easier to work from the M4A1 ris model than the mk18 model?

      Yeah you need to make a custom tool for the mk18 or buy a tool. If you’re gonna own a Mk18 MWS you need the tool (the barrel nut loosens over time). You really are much better off with the M4a1 sopmod or carbine then putting a mad bull mk18 rail on it IMO

      @@pingu.0211 good to know for sure picking up a 2nd one MWS is the way.

      @@pingu.0211 I’m about the order a mws finally. I want a mk18 but your videos have me questioning if I should build one from the carbine platform? What are the pros to this? Because cost wise it’s more expensive than just buying the tm mk18. Thanks in advance

      @@WhiteFeatherGaming707 Some are really happy with it, but you need to make sure you buy the gun and the special tool. If you do that, you should be good to go!

      @@pingu.0211 I have read forums in search of this special tool without any luck of finding what it actually is. And also read the use two barrels nuts and glue the gas block. Might just go the build route haha. What rails do you recommend?

    I’m ordering my mws very soon and this vid was excellent, one thing that doesn’t seem a common video is a NPAS install guide, have you ever considered doing one?

    • @pingu.0211
      @pingu.0211  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Npas installation is pretty much the same as doing a float valve. RA tech supposedly has one that works, but I've been able to hit the FPS ranges I'm looking for with minimal mods. Npas may afford more flexibility with FPS, but you'll sacrifice reliability and efficiency in return. Ultimately, I don't think FPS is the determinate factor of a guns skirmish ability, and I would only look to FPS if I have a specific goal in mind (100 yard headshots with .48g bbs and a 400fps limit cap for example)

    • @dannyworsell4160
      @dannyworsell4160 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I’m based in Northern Ireland, which has 328 fps 1joule limit. I was thinking perhaps npas and a new inner barrel to just squeeze a good fps using maybe an above .3 bb. Maybe I can forgo the npas in that case like you say

      @pingu.0211  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dannyworsell4160 Yeah a little tuning with the stock nozzle, weights and lengths will get you a reliable 310-320 fps without going past the legal limit. I would have two barrels for winter and summer since it can get a bit cold over there!

    But you can use some washers to adapt the AEG rail to the MWS as I saw, ot you must need a new outher barrel?

    • @pingu.0211
      @pingu.0211  ปีที่แล้ว

      Every barrel and rail combo is different, but generally, you need an aftermarket MWS barrel, and some shims to get your Rail perfectly timed. Otherwise you can use the stock barrel with any AEG adapter (do not use the PTS adapter). But yeah theres 100 ways to do it, ever setup will be a little unique.

    Great video, thanks. Is it totally necessary to rotate the buffer tube? When I manually check the bolt recessing into the buffer, it seems like there is still plenty of space between the screw and the receiver. Even when fully depressing the buffer to its full compression. Thoughts?

    • @pingu.0211
      @pingu.0211  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If your gun isn’t experiencing the bolt smacking into the receiver. Then it’s probably fine. But usually after a few hundred rounds on green gas. It’ll cause some issues.

    • @douglassoal6196
      @douglassoal6196 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure why people insist on using green gas, the gun is designed to use 144A, use the correct gas, keep it lubed and that’s it.

    I can’t see the barrel nut working loose, it’s so hard very hard to remove, even with the tool & a heat gun.

      Some guns have it super easy (M4A1 and Sopmod) others like the Mk18's I've seen horror stories. Guess its just down to how clean the gun was during assembly and luck of the draw unfortunately
