They were the protectors of demacia until kayle had enough of mortals failing her and unleashed her wraith on demacia and pretty much destroyed it. From that day demacian buildings are built out of magic absorbing material called petricite which weakens any mage that comes close to it. And every mage that demacians find in their homeland they imprison
when a giant golden sword smiting an enemy is considered magic. when a rat with a blowdart can 1v1 a space dragon who is basically god. when ignite can hurt brand. when a wall of wind can stop a tsunami if it hits the edge. when graves can have a ci- oh, never mind.
What if the Elementalist Lux is the skin when lux finally follow her dreams of exploring beyond demacia border. Then return to demacia to be the Queen. After Jarvan 4 the king has been slain by Sion once more.
I think this might be the reason after a lot of years damacia accepted mages then later some things attacked runtera and won and killed everyone but lux she's now unlocking a lot of her powers she can summon from the nature I THINK WE MIGHT BE UP TO SOMETHING

Galio can apparently function with any amount of magic that is strong enough to not fizzle in the close vicinity of petricite. In his story for example he was awakened by a single mage casting AoE spells on the other side of the battlefield.
From his lore Galio can locate the source of magic so he probably knew it's Lux and had a line like this: "You young girl person can you stay and accompany me wherever I go?".
well they did shurima, piltover/zaun, demacia, and currently doing all of ionia... and ionia's lores have been mentioning the great void war, so I think it's safe rito hasn't forgotten about it... I just hope it's SUPER DARK (story wise) and ominous, and shows the true power the void-born posses (old/semi current lore suggests the named voidlings we know control armies of many planets/star systems)... the void's my fav :3 if you couldn't tell

it took me a second listen to realise her story is basically a mary sue story. this just shows that if your writing is good enough you can write anything and it will still be good
They'll probably do since she was mentioned in the lore about the explorer in Vastaya and Riot seems to be focused on making characters to be multi-dimensional in the new lore.... for better or worse results, like how Zac's lore doesn't seem to fit the character itself anymore.
he was ordered by the KING to make that. And it also act as a shiled for soldier in the battlefield. So they have good reason to let him use as much as he like. Read the AMA of rioter, they confirm that petricite is indeed rare and not to be used widely
Боян Петров im pretty sure it just weakens magic if your near it, i mean thats why there's galio, why would they make a statue but not a giant shield instead, because the stone weakens the magic enemies mages have weaker attacks
If almost the entirety of Demacia is made of petricite, how was Lux able to use magic while in places such as the palace? Between this and Galio's lore, petricite sure seems inconsistent in its magic nullifying abilities.
I feel like all petricite does is absorb magic, not actually nullify it because galio's petricite absorbed so much magic it animated him. So perhaps the people of demacia are being exposed to magics stored in the petricite like how people are exposed to small amounts radiation poisoning from microwaves.
TheAledoPro Rivens lore is pretty great with a moral seriousness about value of strength in comparison to compassion, natural selection, conviction,regret, corruption and lastly the Lonely Road of a once exalted exile, similar to Yasou.

Now it know y Lux and Ezreal would have a relationship. Ezreal : The Traveling adventurer who seeks knowledge around the world. Lux : Who wanted to travel the world but instead was forced to be one of the commander/protector of demacia. P.S. I always knew demacia had a darker story to it.
