Rasmus Malmberg i don’t think they would really perfect the lore of Ionia. I always think that because they didn’t really had the lore for champions when league first came out. So they just put anyone that didn’t really belong to any country to Ionia, haha.

I'd love Ionia instead before Noxus. Noxus connects to every lore because they attacked or interacted with most kingdoms (The Black Rose for example) so I'd like to see the beautiful lands of Ionia and how they started.

Demacia's Laws are reaaaally similar to King Arthur's story. Instead of Kayle, Morgana's sister was Morgause. For me Lux resembles Merlin's situation where he has to hide his powers from the nobility. And also deep inside the kingdom they do have hypocrisy among the nobles, just like in Demacia.
A lot of people don't like Sylas but in my opinion, his creation really sparked a lot of plot development. And gave us a completely new layer of information when it comes to Demacia.
I just thought of something cool How bout if anyone can be born a mage, even if their parents aren't, simply and specifically because they are born in Demacia. All the magic stored in the petricite it's built from, affect any child growing in their mother's womb, so they actually have a chance of being born as mages (which i think would be a cool even bigger plot-twist, that petricite, which demacians thought would keep them away from magic, was actually making _them_ magical).

Love how the hypocrisy against mages in Demacia isn't just another way to show a racism theme in a fantasy setting, but set more as a way to show how the Rune war embedded that much fear and brought an endless power struggle to a strong nation; where it also effected every champion differently. I really hate everything they made with demacia lore, since the end of "institute of war". Just the "pseudo Stormwind city" was enough. Regarding your comment, It's more of a "conspiration" rather than hypocrisy. The "wires" behind demacian clergy are the descendants of the "wanderer survivors" from the rune wars. They stabilished this "anti-magic" system in order to, kind of, "protect the demacian people" from magic. Without the petricite/ancient tree magic storing influence, mages are just "time bombs". A single emotional flick of a "well endowed genetic" mage, can wipe entire villages. The clergy "had" their pre-corruption reasons, in order to "supress magic". Only the most "elite" from the nobles has their "share" with clergy, about having magic in their households. Even J4, who doesn't take part on this "elite", has "his secret" (shyvana).
Love the character design behind Morgana and Kayle. As someone who picked up Morgana as a first champ. After learning Kayle and her were twin sisters. I assumed Morgana was the evil/crazy one, bc of character design alone. I'm pleasantly surprised tho.

I have a theory. See, Demacia is the only place in the story of league (to my knowledge) in which people are born with Magic. What if the people are born afflicted due to the world runes being under Demacia. The petricite trees absorb the magic and then it seeps into the crops which goes into the people. Its a weird Theory but it makes some sense.

That is indeed a really good video serie concpet ! the video itself is really good it's well explained and clear good work ! I personnaly think that Shurima would be good candidate for a future episode because it have a rather complexe story maybe not so easy to handle when new to the lore And also really glad to see you used the little Runeterra planet I did (at 0:53)

It's where Garen hits his sword against Sylas's shackle and it starts to glow and he says" Oh my you don't know do you?" Is this simply referencing him not knowing Lux is a mage or is something deeper such as some sort of innate magic that gets channeled through Garen's sword without him realizing it?
Hell man its not much to cower there. Its just realm we know no actuall shiet about that trieas to eat runterra. And i belive it did so to the world of Darkin. Sometime it wos in darkin lore that Void consumed their world so they come onto runterra and fought back woid here but shenanigans happen and now they are enemy of humanity and are nearly extinct. All.tho i dont know if its still cannon. A lot of lore changed over the years and im confused so i came to this channel to cath up.

Now they are shurimian ascendeds who fought in a war with icathia (cuz icathia didnt want to be part of shurima) but during one battle icathian mages opened a rift to void so ascended Got corrupted by void and went mad and after azir's death they fought each other and started to use Blood magic and they became darkins the end.
im personally a fan of how the lore is making a point of taking demacia off its righteous pedastal right now, even the god king event had both sides being equally bad choices (chaos but freedom, order but loss of free will)

What first got me into fantasy and video games was World of Warcraft, and since, the story and lore has always been the most important and interesting thing to me in a game. I just have to thank you Necrit, for sharing such a beautiful story in such an amazing way. For me, when Sylas says "you don't know, do you?" to Garen, he's saying that Garen don't realize that he has magic too... maybe a more dorment source, and there is that Swain quote too, that he says that garen is ignorant about the very magic he carries into battle, so my theory is that Garen is also a mage...

I've been hanging around your channel for a while so i knew most of this stuff(apart from some champions having connections to Demacia), but this was an amazing summary for someone who is potentially looking to get into lore. And as for the next episode, I'd say that since you've covered Demacia, it'd really make sense to cover Noxus next as they are regarded as sort of two main opposing nations. But I'm sure all of them will be interesting when you eventually cover them. I am particulary looking forward to Ionia with their "civil war" and Shurima with their ancient history.

He swore to Tianna Crownguard that if anything should ever happen to the king, she was allowed to kill him. After jarvan III´s death, Xin Zhao was ready to die. He lost his first and only friend and brother. He even thought about suicide. When Jarvan IV confronted him of leaving his father to die, he couldn´t answer and was ready to get killed by his nephew´s hand. Jarvan IV stopped and cried because he wasn´t ready to lead. At least not alone. He wanted his only family member to stay at his side when he becomes king. Xin Zhao is keep fighting for demacia to stay at his nephew´s side. Because that is also the only person he has left. I wonder why no where it´s written that Xin Zhao should be named Xin Zhao Lightshield XD So yeah...according to lore and short stories. Xin Zhao is an official member of the Lightshield family, as adopted.

Like, it was once the greatest of all, people want to know how the downfall came, and often are too lazy to read anyway !

hey Necrit, not sure if you check the comments but I wanted to bring up something from Lux's comic, specifically issue 3 page 9. It's where Garen hits his sword against Sylas's shackle and it starts to glow and he says" Oh my you don't know do you?" Is this simply referencing him not knowing Lux is a mage or is something deeper such as some sort of innate magic that gets channeled through Garen's sword without him realizing it?

Its just realm we know no actuall shiet about that trieas to eat runterra. And i belive it did so to the world of Darkin.
Sometime it wos in darkin lore that Void consumed their world so they come onto runterra and fought back woid here but shenanigans happen and now they are enemy of humanity and are nearly extinct. All.tho i dont know if its still cannon. A lot of lore changed over the years and im confused so i came to this channel to cath up.
@@michagruzewski5592 soo yeah that is no longer canon about darkins (well it was just a theory). Now they are shurimian ascendeds who fought in a war with icathia (cuz icathia didnt want to be part of shurima) but during one battle icathian mages opened a rift to void so ascended Got corrupted by void and went mad and after azir's death they fought each other and started to use Blood magic and they became darkins the end.

im personally a fan of how the lore is making a point of taking demacia off its righteous pedastal right now, even the god king event had both sides being equally bad choices (chaos but freedom, order but loss of free will)
Just one thing- Deamcia isnt youngest, Zaun and Piltover are (Cause you count it as region, right?)

Zaun is actually an ancient city that dates back to ancient Shurima. Piltover was build on top of it over time.

What first got me into fantasy and video games was World of Warcraft, and since, the story and lore has always been the most important and interesting thing to me in a game.

Garen is a true knight so should have a passive that negates some true damage and crit.
Taric is a sex god, so he should be invincible from dmg at all.

Well it's not 100% confirmed since his sword is most likely made out of petricite. So it Sylas may absorbed that.

For me, when Sylas says "you don't know, do you?" to Garen, he's saying that Garen don't realize that he has magic too... maybe a more dorment source, and there is that Swain quote too, that he says that garen is ignorant about the very magic he carries into battle, so my theory is that Garen is also a mage...

I've been hanging around your channel for a while so i knew most of this stuff(apart from some champions having connections to Demacia), but this was an amazing summary for someone who is potentially looking to get into lore. And as for the next episode, I'd say that since you've covered Demacia, it'd really make sense to cover Noxus next as they are regarded as sort of two main opposing nations. But I'm sure all of them will be interesting when you eventually cover them. I am particulary looking forward to Ionia with their "civil war" and Shurima with their ancient history.

i guess they changed poppy's lore then, since i remember that poppy's hammer was made of her father, and poppy was tasked with bringing it to a king (can't remember who), but the king had died before she could deliver it, so she kept it

Xin Zhao was adopted into the Lightshield family as Jarvan III Brother and Jarvan IV´s Uncle. He swore to Tianna Crownguard that if anything should ever happen to the king, she was allowed to kill him. After jarvan III´s death, Xin Zhao was ready to die. He lost his first and only friend and brother. He even thought about suicide. When Jarvan IV confronted him of leaving his father to die, he couldn´t answer and was ready to get killed by his nephew´s hand. Jarvan IV stopped and cried because he wasn´t ready to lead. At least not alone. He wanted his only family member to stay at his side when he becomes king. Xin Zhao is keep fighting for demacia to stay at his nephew´s side. Because that is also the only person he has left.
I wonder why no where it´s written that Xin Zhao should be named Xin Zhao Lightshield XD
So yeah...according to lore and short stories. Xin Zhao is an official member of the Lightshield family, as adopted.
I love this video concept ! It's like, incredibly amazingly cool. Eventhough I already read the lore, it still was usefull enough to get my friends to read League's lore.
Upnext, maybe : Shurima ? Like, it was once the greatest of all, people want to know how the downfall came, and often are too lazy to read anyway !
