I always enjoy your tutorials. I have been crocheting since I was 6 years old and I’m now 65, but I have learned more about crocheting and yarn than I ever thought possible. Thank you so much Crystal. YOU can teach an old dog new tricks.
I like this! Nice and quick to work up like the Moss stitch... and thank you SO much for putting the stitch name in the title! I will say I got a little confused for a minute because you kept saying to put "two single crochets in the chain TWO space" (even though they are chain ONE spaces). LOL! It's all good... we know what you meant! I really love your stitch tutorials so much. Even though I've been crocheting for over 45 years, I still learn new things! It's nice to have some single crochet stitch patterns in the "basket" (so to speak) because I like to design my own stuff and I often will use more than one stitch pattern for scarves/hats/shawls/throws etc. The only thing I have to remember in doing that, is that in your tutorials you are starting from chain stitches... so when you say to begin with an "even number", that means the finished fabric is going to be odd number of stitches. So when I work it into a pattern of some other stitch, I need to be sure the other stitch is an odd-number stitch pattern as well.
This looks like such an interesting stitch for a blanket - I’m thinking maybe two strands of scrap yarn with a big hook, for a colorful marled look. Thanks for another great video, Crystal! ❤
This looks like it would make a nice placemat, mug rug, or hot pad (if cotton, of course). Wonder how it would do for a rug? I have some t-shirt yarn I’m planning to make into a couple throw rugs (with a ginormous hook). I’m going to give this a try, and see if they lay flat.
Beautiful stitch, I will be trying this out as soon as I get my Christmas tree done(very fiddly at the beginning as I have had to frog it quite a few times before actually getting it). This definitely looks a whole lot easier ❤️🧶
Thanks Crystal! A very pretty stitch. I appreciate your detailed explanation of how to finish the ends of the rows. I get frustrated when I don't have straight edges.
Hi Crystal, I appreciate you and the time you spend sharing your knowledge about crochet stitches with us .😊 I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
Perfect timing. Again ❤. Making a stitch sampler blanket and the next skein needs to be a not so textured stitch. This is perfect Thank you and Merry Christmas to your entire family.
