As an INFP I agree with all of this.

Good! There was 1 that I wasn't fully confident in sharing because I thought it might just be a "me" thing...

Dude this is def speaking to me. I'm really having to go through some painful introspection these last few weeks. Just crazy.

Super interesting video and I agree. I always wonder what a potential person ‘can’ become. I always fall for drive, ambition and someone who can guide me through life. Trying to see someones potential can end up hurting me when I realize I have idealized someones potential. But hey, guess that’s also part of the natural process of falling for someone and then getting a reality check.
One of the nicest things someone can probably say to me is “hey, I see great potential in you. Let me guide you to how to unlock that potential”. And at the same, I would love to give guidance back to that person too.

Thanks :) Yeah, potential is very attractive, but unfortunately it's quite hard to realize!
That sounds like a great exchange. I wonder how we can get into more relationships like that...

I wonder too… I know this might come a bit out of the blue, but do you mind making a video on the relationship/dynamic between ISTP and INFP? There is an ISTP person I am trying to figure out, and in many ways we are the same but yet so different. I don’t know what to do with it. Thought maybe you can share your insights?

    Hello sir INFP,
Your voice is subconsciously comforting. God has blessed you in that way.
    Also, good information.

On potential: i used to date potential in myself and others. Im older now and see that possibilities are lovely, and possibilities dont create connection, bonds, or mutual respect. This changed how I see myself, informs my now choices, and helps me understand when im spending too much time with my inner world.
Thank you for this video, it helps me understand my bubble of experiencing and evolution much better. :-)

Thank you Matt for sharing your personal feeling and thoughts as an INFP. Interesting video, somehow I refrained from sharing my reactions for several days due to things happened IRL lately and this topic also a thing in a discussion with someone who are also MBTI & Socionics enthusiast.
Please let me share the thing I got from this guy...
    1. INFPs ( note : mostly ) are get attracted to Si users by default. (including myself...)
He said that INFPs are Si users but more importantly they are Se PoLR, so an SeDom is just too intense for them. INFPs feels Se in heroic position as sudden, impactful, unpredictable and angry, according to Socionics POV, since Se is about exhibiting power and being impactful to his/her surrounding.
" INFPs want to be petted softly in Si style. They don’t like power games “at all.", he said.
    2. INFPs ( mostly ) turned on by 'King Energy'. King Energy does not mean Shih Huang Ti or any tyrant-like sort of energy, but a person as he said, " A guy who is confident and calm and strong but not intimidating or dramatic or edgy."
The great examples are you, Matt and another guy named Dion Johann Cools. For those who is curious who is this guy, just try to google some of his interview videos. I believe that he's an ISTJ or ISFJ, SiDom type of person.
IMHO, this is sounds true for female INFPs, as this is also my personal experiences. But I'll be glad to hear feedback from INFP males.
    3. INFPs basically love comfort, because comfort is Si child's magic keyword. The child wants attention, and basically INFPs prefer someone that giving attention by offering comfortability.
That I can conclude from his POV. Does it resonates with you all ? I can be wrong by agreeing with him since he tend to put MBTI and Socionics in harmony to each other, but that's what also comes from my life experiences.

Once again, it was so beautiful! So colorful, simple and really 100% relatable that I felt like it's literally me talking to myself (which I do, too much). Thank you Sir! YOU ARE WONDERFUL ❤ You don't know how much value you are adding to my life.

I relate so much with you!
But I'm having extra complexity as I grow busier: Getting extra clingy and avoidant at the same time, which is a real mess:"(
But I'm lucky enough to be found by a very patient INTP, who stays and listens, even when it's hard for him to understand😅

Hi, Matt. Do you have a video on how to get out of the NPC routine and jump start personal growth? Right now, I feel like garbage toward the end of the day, and I don’t feel like writing in a journal (or reading it), looking at graduate schools, or, generally, learning to become someone that everyone can rely on. However, me feeling like garbage could be more of a health issue.
Anyway, great video! Watching was a good way to start another day. 🙂

I reckon it would be beneficial to have a school specifically designed for each personality type especially myerbriggs personality framework because it was so accurate for me and has helped me much. If i had known about personality types back then instead of believing i was alone or weird and have a teacher teach me my strengths my weaknessess. And its just a way to maybe be more productive to society and even promote unity of all. Instead of trying a million wrong courses or jobs or relationships you would have a much narrower selection tailored to you as an individual instead of dealing with children on the broad scale which tends to group everyone into one stream causing major problems such as learning difficulties, communication difficulties, and just a lack of general direction for where we see ourselves within ourselves and within society itself. 😊😊😊just an idea ❤❤ the idealist in me. Also im a mother so im like wondering what personality my children are or devoping into as i do understand personality is ingrained in us genetically but also affected by the environment and you know nature vs nurture sort of thing. But it would be good to have that mindset as parents or teachers so that we can understand and communicate with our children and do activities and teach valuable lessons to not only encourage learning but emotional and social development❤❤❤ just an interesting idea or concept i personally think 😊

Do you think if it's possible to be in a relationship with an INFP when I'm INFP myself? 😄

    • @highcaliber350
      @highcaliber350 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Dont let the label define you too much. Remember that each of the four categories of myers-briggs are on a large 0-100 scale, not a 0-1 binary! You and your potential INFP partner are, obviously, very different people despite having the same personality type. It is not a bad thing to have similarities either.
