The entire PULSE concert is amazing. You can start with the first song "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" to see the versatility of their music. Then on to "Comfortably Numb" which has one of the most astounding guitar solos of all time. To be honest, just pick any song and enjoy.
Guys I'm an old school rocker. Have been all my life. Believe me when I say: The greatest rock and roll ever came from the 1960s, 1970s, and most of the 1980s. FACTS. I'd love to see you guys dig into as much older classic rock as possible. The greatest of all time. Great reaction, guys.
@@gandalf679 That's funny. Apparently their Ed Sullivan debut conflicted with Bonanza, which my grandfather was NOT going to miss. So my mom had to jump in the car and rip over to a friend's house to see it.
@ I believe it, girls were mad over them, you can see it on the show, it was a phenomenon for that time period, from Elvis not being shown from the waist down while performing on TV, to the British Invasion...it was a great time to be alive for sure!
Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon album has a prism on the cover and is the Guiness Book of World Records for largest selling album of all time, when it was originally released it held the #1 spot in sales for a year straight and when it was re-released years later it held #1 in sales for over 8 months
@stevenlaurin6059 the album was on the Billboard top 200 list for 741 consecutive weeks before dropping off. And that it's returned to log nearly 1000 weeks on the list.
Saw this tour in DC at RFK. Stage was like a lava lamp. Speakers front, back, and both sides. Sound moved around like magic.Unforgettable! Their stage was so big that they were removing one playing in one and building one at the same time. Three massive crews.
Actually they had 3 complete stages leapfrogging each other. One building up for the next venue, one in use at the venue of that particular night and one breaking up from the previous venue. All in all this 1994 tour has never been surpassed in emmersiveness, sound quality, special effects, lighting and sheer scale.
The name "Pink Floyd" came about because the name they were using at the time, "The Tea Set", was set to play a show but another band had the same name so Syd Barrett combined the name of 2 American blues artists, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council, and became "Pink Floyd" as opposed to "Anderson Council".....True story....❤
@boosuedon Slight correction, While Floyd was born in North Carolina(Chapel Hill), Pink on the other hand was born in South Carolina(Laurens)....But they were both "Carolina Blues" player's, just one from each of the Carolina's....

"Comfortably Numb" by them next. Preferably the studio version first, then the live version from this same Pulse concert from 1994 will completely blow you away.
More Pink Floyd , you will love all their songs . David Gilmour is a guitar master. 😊 wait until you watch Comfortably Numb, The Great Gig In the Sky, Sorrow, Keep Talking, High Hopes, Wish You Were Here and more! 🔥🔥
The Wall is a complete book with a bunch of different chapters. Each song is a chapter and listening to it front to back is needed for the full effect of the songs. Enjoy the book.
It doesn't get better than Pink Floyd, imo. I literally never go a day without listening to some PF and I don't have adequate words to describe how much I love their music. I very much hope you listen to more because their music just hits different. Give their songs Hey You, Time, and Have a Cigar a listen. 💗🤘🏽🎸
In London, in the early days they would play r & b songs at dance clubs for money. before they became Pink Floyd, they called themselves The Ab Dabs, The Tea set plus several other names, before settling on Pink Floyd. Which is a combination of two old blues performers' names. Pink Anderson & Floyd Council

As a young man with my friends we would watch Pink Floyd's movie "The Wall" (Their album put to a movie), stoned out of our minds, it was a trip. I know everyone used to do it but not sure today if people still know about the movie as much because of new media platforms for music.
The Pulse concert tour is the best every assembled. You should listen to the album The Wall AND watch the movie of the same name. This makes more sense in context.
Suggestions- Pink Floyd, Time. Led Zeppelin, Since I’ve Been Loving You (Live at Madison Square Garden, 1973) Jimi Hendrix, All Along the Watchtower Steely Dan, Deacon Blues.
Echoes part 1 and 2 put together from Pink Floyd live at Pompeii. On the concert the songs are played separately. Their are videos on TH-cam where they are spliced together
welcome to pink floyd he whole pulse concert is considered to be the best live show ever suggestions from pulse , great gig in the sky , high hopes, one of these days , keep talking and the final number using over 1 million dollars of lighting hold onto your seat its run like hell and of coarse comfortably numb David Gilmore the main man is still performing world wide to sell out crowds at 78 yo you should also watch his live concert at Pompeii in 2016 aged 70 again comfortably numb and run like hell . first time an audience has been there since the roman gladiators The pulse concerts featured even more special effects than the previous tour, including two custom designed airships.[2] Three stages leapfrogged around North America and Europe, each 180 feet (55 m) long and featuring a 130-foot (40 m) arch resembling the Hollywood Bowl venue. All in all, the tour required 700 tons of steel carried by 53 articulated trucks, a crew of 161 people and an initial investment of US$4 million plus US$25 million of running costs just to stage. This tour played to over 5 million people in 68 cities; each concert gathered an average audience of 45,000
Try the whole PULSE concert. Évery song is different. Probably the best live show of all time with the best and most expensive sound and lighting rig ever put together for a touring band. I was at this show in London 94 and it was the best music experience of my life and I'm now 75. This tour played to over 5million people who, from all comments, feel the same as me. There are plenty of videos and studio albums to try like Meddle, Animals, Wish You Were Here, The Wall (There is also a full length feature film based on The Wall and is where "Another Brick in the Wall pt 2comes from) and The Division Bell amongst others. The Dark Side of the Moon album charted nonstop for 17 years and the Pulse concert incorporates the whole album in the second half. The band played through to 2008 when keyboard player Richard Wright died, but guitarist David Gilmour is still playing to sell out audiences at 78, try David Gilmour live at Pompeii 2016. Nice reaction guys. The trouble with awarding them such a high mark is you have nowhere to go when you hear some of the other numbers from Pulse. Enjoy.
David Gilmour is one of the greatest rock guitarists ever. But Pink Floyd is best experienced with the original recordings. The albums will take you away. This live performance is three of the original four members. Animals is my favorite Pink Floyd album. Their name was derived from the names of two jazz musicians they were inspired by. They did not do covers. The best live performance is Pink Floyd at Pompeii, when they were young. React to that one!! The people recommending these later live performances are too young and didn't grow up obsessed with this music like my generation was. Go back to the original works. They're phenomenal. Keep going though, I'm still going to listen no matter what.
FYI heads up don’t pause during the guitar solo ever!!! Great reaction. If want the views continue with Pink Floyd you’ll surely not be disappointed. I recommend album version first then Live.
You gotta be lit to listen to Floyd, the music was made for altered states of mind. The performance you just watched, while great, was lacking one of the members of the band (who also happens to be the one who wrote the song) as the group broke up many years ago.
Got a Like & Sub from me lads - love seeing new reactions to the greatest band ever. Please do Comfortably Numb from the same concert and sit back and go on a blown away journey. Cheers.
Yep, I definitely think you both rated it WAAY too low! 10 doesn't even begin to git it! I mean, I suppose you could take off a half point for being way too short, but that's about all I saw that wasn't what could be expected🎉
Floyd have a very very deep rabbit hole i been in there 52 years and loving it
Pink Floyd was probably the "grandest" band ever their shows were productions.
The entire PULSE concert is amazing. You can start with the first song "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" to see the versatility of their music. Then on to "Comfortably Numb" which has one of the most astounding guitar solos of all time. To be honest, just pick any song and enjoy.
