Lmao I just bought one of these for a fiver and fixed this by just drilling the right size hole either side of a bit of old sledge hammer handle and plugged It in.

Hi. I'm in the UK and recently picked up one of these for £24 as my first detector. I know it's not the best, but you do seem to know how to operate it and I wonder if you've got more videos of what all the controls do. I have got the instruction manual (with the schematic diagram in the back) but the instructions only seem to be quite basic about what the controls do and does not really describe operation in detail.

I'm not into this that much - this is the only machine I have. Its fine for a beginner but if you really get into this you'll want something better.

Cool! Yeah I guess I will try it, I dont know if I wil be 100 percent for it.. But you never know. I like the idea off recovering long lost things . Thanks for the reply.

A piece of tube that slides over both ends would be better.

Very true, and the jubilee clip will give false signals because the coil senses above as well, the same with a loose lead instead of being wrapped around the stem will give a false reading.
