The only problem with this version is that it's 'way too slow. And I won't comment on the Chris Montez-like "California Sun" keyboard riffs in the middle and at the end.
@@jeffkowalski555 You got the joke! The tempo is indeed very fast. I still think the keyboard bits could have been more inventive - they're just runs of scales and simple chords. Elvis used to play an old Jazzmaster of a shade of bile green the same as my old refrigerator! Ditched in favor of Telecaster, I guess.
Elvis always sounds like Elvis. Always so good!!
Elvis hasn't lost a step since he was a gap-toothed kid doing this memorable song so memorably. And that's quite a band up there.
I was there. Top notch performance. Danced my ass off that day. I think the roots played right before.
He just stands there. That ain’t right.
Nieve killer version.

Really? I think this version is great-very tight.
I presume the "too slow" comment is a joke. I play drums avocationally, but the tempo of that drum part is unbelievably fast. Props to the drummer.
Jeff Kowalski agreed-the drumming couldn’t be any better.
