    The thrust race with the small hole goes next to the bolt head as it is the stationary one. (it turns with the bolt, the other one turns with the out drive thus the larger hole for clearance)

    Thank you so much for putting this video together! I'm pretty new to the modern RC racing world, and I have been trying to get all the information I can together before I start buying things. For some reason, there are very few discussions on which of the 2 to get and which is more popular etc. On paper it seems like common sense but I know it gets more complicated than that. So anyways once again thank you excellent video.

    Did you apply any oil on the outer gear of the ball ?
    I assembled it and then saw they said to squeeze a couple of drops of Diff Fluid which is not included.
    Can i get away with a couple of drops of shock oil or a bit of vasceline ? If not ill wait till tuesday when my local hobby shop re opens

    What i would like to see a video of is what would happened if you drive carpet version on dirt (with proper tuning of course), what would you have to change out? I have the carpet version coming to me and I will 99% drive on carpet or Astroturf. Could i drive my carpet version on dirt?

      Main difference is one has ball diff one has gear diff

    I like that it’s almost the same now you can get a carpet car like I have and don’t have to get a whole other car just to do dirt racing I think AE finally used their heads when doing this

      The difference between carpet and dirt spec is minimal - but if you watch latest video we did find somethings out on very low grip surfaces

    Paint brush for grease works nice.

    its posible to just use grease in the gear diff to get it a smoth as a ball diff but the strenght of gear diff.
    its done in old school cars and works just as good in newer cars but tend to be a forgotten knowlage.

    • @TeamRC3D
      @TeamRC3D  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But then you cannot tune the diff with different weights?

    • @mikefleek9259
      @mikefleek9259 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TeamRC3D exactly, the grease will also heat up, thin, and change viscosity ( this depends what type and grade of grease. With Silicone diff fluids, immense tuning possibilites.

    The dirt one is still crap for dirt. Any rear motor is better for dirt

    Why two wheel drive? I'm new to the hobby, don't see the point of two wheel drive.

      It’s a race buggy. On the prepped carpet/clay surfaces with proper racing tires 2nd has plenty traction and steers great. If you’re interested in racing go to a local track and see what’s going on. Otherwise these are not for bashing/playing around.

      2wd is the more popular 1/10th off road class and on some tracks is as fast as 4wd

      I race 2wd outdoors on low grip dirt/clay , it’s harder to drive and in my opinion makes the racing more about your ability to handle the car. It’s a drivers class and a lot of people don’t like it because it’s hard
