The privilege to connect with God on an intimate level can be easy to overlook in busy seasons of life. Slow seasons offer the margin needed to discern the voice of God, but when the noise and distraction increase, it doesn’t take long for time with God to decrease.
It’s important to take the steps to get still and quiet the noise in your life. Be sure you’re ready to listen when God speaks.

My son and I just had this conversation when deciding on college. We both have different choices but I ultimately want him to go to the right place. I told him get quiet and go before God. But more than that I told him God loves us to just talk to him. Intimacy is key to knowing his voice. ❤
He does not yell! He whispers and if we don't make the space for it, we can miss His sweet and gentle whisper! Love this.

This is on time word. My Pastor spoke on today. What Is Your Relationship With God? There are levelS of intimacy that God requires of us. He gave his life for us. it's our reasonable service to spend time with him.

This was indeed a good reminder to pull away and spend time with God. Allowing him to speak to my heart and writing down what I hear is important. I consider writing down what I hear during my time with God in prayer as it being on the vine. I will start looking at what I wrote down that morning during my study time at night so that I can keep it before my eyes and execute where I can execute. Very good word!

Creating Space for Him, to be silent, to ask/ respond.. sometimes requires some kind of uncomfortably.. maybe an unexpected wake up call (had one of those this morning).. or a dream that wakes me, and I have to write or read in that moment. This typically happens when I know I haven’t given the time I need to. Relationship requires communication.

That is correct. Do not disturb will work wonders.
I agree with a lot of this, especially that we need to make space and slow down to hear. But in our modern day we expect God to speak every day....yet in the Bible there were looong stretches of God's silence. Ie joseph had 1 dream as a teenager and didn't realize the vision for several yr later....not even in prison. And Moses has one burning bush prior to 40yrs in the wilderness.
So, if God is not speaking directly don't lose heart. Stay faithful.
