ELASTIC RAIL CLIP (ERC) MARK-V PART-2 (QUALITY QONTROL)
This video prepared for upcoming P.Way engineers since, ELASTIC RAIL CLIP (ERC) is widely used in Indian Railways. In previous video shown production of ELASTIC RAIL CLIP (ERC) from raw material to finished product. This video has been explained quality control of ERC. So kindly watch it up to the end.
Marking: The firm has been given code for inscription of stamps. All clips shall bear clear inscription of stamp at the heel of the clip to indicate manufacturers initial, the last one digit of the year of manufacture and the lot number of the year.
Example: BF3/192
“BF” is Firms initial (Bhaskar Ferrous)
“3” is last digit of year of manufacture
“192” is Lot Number
As per the specification of ERC IRS T-31-2021 final inspection report for finished product as follows…
a) Chemical analysis in Annexure-VI
b) Inclusion rating, depth of decarb & freedom from defects in Annexure-VII
c) Hardness in Annexure-VIII
d) Dimensions in Annexure-IX
e) Application & deflection test in Annexure-X
f) Toe load test in Annexure-XI

ERCs are two types as toe concerned 1) Round toe & 2) Flat toe,
Round toe ERC have less bearing area act as point load, whereas flat toe has wider bearing area act as uniform load. ERC flat toe shape is ellipse have major axis and minor axis. Further flat toe type ERCs are 4 types ERC-J, Mark-III, Mark-V & Antitheft. Due to up gradation of track structure, being used R260 rail, wider sleepers with mark-V ERCs.
This video has been prepared in Surya Alloy Industries Limited an Integrated Steel Plant, located at Chutgoria village, Barjora, Bankura (Dt), in West Bengal. This production unit have excellent infrastructure, for quality control fully equipped mechanical and spectra labs. All are trained operators, technicians & labour.

अंकन: फर्म को टिकटों के शिलालेख के लिए कोड दिया गया है। सभी क्लिपों पर निर्माता के प्रारंभिक, निर्माण के वर्ष के अंतिम एक अंक और वर्ष की लॉट संख्या को इंगित करने के लिए क्लिप की एड़ी पर स्टांप का स्पष्ट शिलालेख होना चाहिए।
उदाहरण: BF3/192
"बीएफ" फर्म का प्रारंभिक अक्षर है (भास्कर फेरस)
"3" निर्माण के वर्ष का अंतिम अंक है
"192" लॉट नंबर है
ईआरसी आईआरएस टी-31-2021 के विनिर्देश के अनुसार तैयार उत्पाद के लिए अंतिम निरीक्षण रिपोर्ट इस प्रकार है…
क) अनुलग्नक-VI में रासायनिक विश्लेषण
बी) अनुबंध-VII में समावेशन रेटिंग, डीकार्ब की गहराई और दोषों से मुक्ति
ग) अनुलग्नक-आठवीं में कठोरता
घ) अनुबंध-IX में आयाम
ई) अनुलग्नक-एक्स में अनुप्रयोग और विक्षेपण परीक्षण
च) अनुलग्नक-XI में टो लोड परीक्षण

पैर के अंगूठे के संबंध में ईआरसी दो प्रकार के होते हैं 1) गोल पैर का अंगूठा और 2) सपाट पैर का अंगूठा,
गोल पैर की अंगुली ईआरसी में कम असर क्षेत्र होता है जो बिंदु भार के रूप में कार्य करता है, जबकि फ्लैट पैर की अंगुली में व्यापक असर क्षेत्र होता है जो समान भार के रूप में कार्य करता है। ईआरसी फ्लैट पैर की अंगुली का आकार दीर्घवृत्ताकार होता है जिसमें प्रमुख अक्ष और लघु अक्ष होता है। इसके अलावा फ्लैट टो टाइप ईआरसी 4 प्रकार के होते हैं ईआरसी-जे, मार्क-III, मार्क-वी और एंटीथेफ्ट। ट्रैक संरचना के उन्नयन के कारण, आर260 रेल, मार्क-वी ईआरसी के साथ व्यापक स्लीपर का उपयोग किया जा रहा है।
