Its hard in there, culturally, humidity, and noisey,😮, Girls have there reasons for dating, loads of vlogs , one guy has been through five philipino, in 10 years, Mostly losing money, or property, the big one to remember aliens cannot own any property land ever, unless you have citizenship, 90 days only on overseas driving licence, stay out of bar they got guns, your not allowed nothing , air con is essential. Over 60 , tell them NO now and again , if they stay your ok No free speakers, or deported for life, if you become disabled . You will, be shocked as regards visa rules,

Just so you know, you picked one of the worst cities to move to -- Angeles City, is a much higher crime area. Had you gone to a small town, or the province, it would have been a whole different story. A town such as Dumaguete, Davao ( I know it's not small, but it's considered the safest cities in the PI) Tagatay, Lipa City, Ilo-ilo, to name a few. :)

For a year and a half, I believe you're doing great here. I have almost 25 years here and have seen many come here, sometimes it works out, other times it does not. You have found a great place here and gone with the Expat market more than the short term tourist site. I would say keep doing what you're doing, you have a good setup here. I enjoy working with you here and doing the rental property stuff with you, and giving you some leads for other interesting videos. One thing maybe you are viewing wrong is the motorbikes, yes that work and get you around, but really not safe. The risks of accidents is too high, robbery is much easier on motorbikes vs cars. I did several years on them, but really now 100% with the cars.

I'm 42, and going to the Philippines, Muntinlupa for 3 months. Just a personal vacation. Still trying to figure out as far as activies goes. I'm a introvert, and I don't drink so no bar scene for me. I am a practicing Buddhist and I see there are several temples in and around Manila I wish to visit. I rented a condo for 3 months there in Muntinlupa ( I have a friend from there from work here in the states ), just found this channel and I enjoyed listening to what you have to say. I probably have a million questions but I'll probably spread them out within other videos. The one question I have is , money exchange, how would I get that done? I have a capital one card, I heard I could get php from arms with my card or do I need to go to a bank?

When you sold everything back in the States do you have your move in an American Bank or are you using a bank in the Phillipines? I have lived there and traveled there for 60 years.... The only thing that changes in the Philippines is the money exchange rate and the infrastructure.. A Filipina is a Filipina back then and today.... The truth is Gentleman , learn to speak tagalog , learn the Filipino custom and enjoy the great country that it is. Most Americans will not survive a year. It's not for everybody. I was just a seventeen YO kid who fell in love with the PI and once it gets into your blood it stays there..

I suppose where you live in the Philippines as to how much crime there is. My house is in DasMarinas Cavite & that has a lot of crime. We at one time had a restaurant there & 3/30 in the afternoon 3 guys came in & robbed us at gunpoint. I also got pickpocketed on a jeepney but i realised it as the thief got off & i jumped off after him & got everything back.
there are incidents of robbery around town but seldom, usually it is the intoxicated peeps that are targeted and usually late at night 👍 there is a large security presence in AC to protect businesses and tourism

yes i think it’d work for you and wife.. probably a smaller city but not province life, resort towns but still within an hour or so of larger malls and hospital if need

Get lots of massage. It’s CUMULATIVE. I had osteosarcoma osteoblastic and many complications from radiation (6800rad aka 110,000+ xRays), and high dose chemo cocktails of level 10. Extremely high dose. I was given a year to live and zero hope survival after “treatment”. I moved to Thailand and lived at many spas. I sucked up 1,000hrs of massage and about 250hrs of saunas and did lots of fasting mixed with 80% raw fruit and veggies and small amounts of fish/beef mixed with herbs. Results? 22 years doing well past death ☠️ prescription. Massage is cumulative. You suck in 40 hours of massage in a month and your whole damn being is different. Positivity, breathing, immunity, vitality, desire to live, digestion, sleep depth, flexibility, and complexion. Good luck. Bro. REMEMBER TO REMAIN THE MAN. Just cus you love your chick… you NEED to be firm and mean aka say no. Say no in body and face and tone. Also you’ll need EXTRA social support. It’s protective. Don’t die from 10,000 paper cuts. Say no. Have a budget for money and for favors. Budget for time. Be demanding positive and stance. Women are women. Make yourself a priority and rule the roost…. If you don’t… watch yourself become a doormat. Do NOT scoff at my words. What’s the worst I’m saying? Being a power leader. That’s it. Oh wait! Despite all the wealth we have in the West, there are still too many downsides for us men. I enjoyed the 7 week I was there. Island hopped. Lived it up. Spent about 15k maybe 20. Was worth it.

For a year and a half, I believe you're doing great here. I have almost 25 years here and have seen many come here, sometimes it works out, other times it does not. You have found a great place here and gone with the Expat market more than the short term tourist site. I would say keep doing what you're doing, you have a good setup here.
I enjoy working with you here and doing the rental property stuff with you, and giving you some leads for other interesting videos. One thing maybe you are viewing wrong is the motorbikes, yes that work and get you around, but really not safe. The risks of accidents is too high, robbery is much easier on motorbikes vs cars. I did several years on them, but really now 100% with the cars.

I'm 42, and going to the Philippines, Muntinlupa for 3 months. Just a personal vacation. Still trying to figure out as far as activies goes. I'm a introvert, and I don't drink so no bar scene for me. I am a practicing Buddhist and I see there are several temples in and around Manila I wish to visit. I rented a condo for 3 months there in Muntinlupa ( I have a friend from there from work here in the states ), just found this channel and I enjoyed listening to what you have to say. I probably have a million questions but I'll probably spread them out within other videos. The one question I have is , money exchange, how would I get that done? I have a capital one card, I heard I could get php from arms with my card or do I need to go to a bank?

yes atm machines are everywhere, some smaller towns they may be limited so try to take advantage of them in larger cities before traveling to smaller
Banks usually have them outside or in lobby, 7 eleven stores are where i go most often… i had opened a Charles Schwab account prior to coming to get atm fees reimbursed
Sir Chubs, I’ve recently met a beautiful Filipina and although our relationship is still young, it’s looking very promising. When you sold everything back in the States do you have your move in an American Bank or are you using a bank in the Phillipines? See I’m playing with the idea of doing what you have done but am a little gung shy as it is a big decision. I’m from Sydney Australia and am getting tired of the rat race.

I have lived there and traveled there for 60 years.... The only thing that changes in the Philippines is the money exchange rate and the infrastructure.. A Filipina is a Filipina back then and today.... The truth is Gentleman , learn to speak tagalog , learn the Filipino custom and enjoy the great country that it is.

I've always wanted to move there but I don't meet the requirements I will have the equivalent of 86,500 PHP for the 1st 6 mnths then 68,000 per mnth after that Plus I understand you have to have been to the Philippines before you need a previous customs stamp on your passport in order as one of the conditions for a retirement visa there 😮💨

I suppose where you live in the Philippines as to how much crime there is. My house is in DasMarinas Cavite & that has a lot of crime. We at one time had a restaurant there & 3/30 in the afternoon 3 guys came in & robbed us at gunpoint. I also got pickpocketed on a jeepney but i realised it as the thief got off & i jumped off after him & got everything back.
there are incidents of robbery around town but seldom, usually it is the intoxicated peeps that are targeted and usually late at night 👍
there is a large security presence in AC to protect businesses and tourism
How about your medical coverage/insurance while you are in Philippines?

She wants to get back to see her kids and grandkids so although quite nervous, I will quite my job working for the Air Force, and we will move to somewhere in Angeles area (family lives in Manila). I’m retired AF with some health issues so I want to be close to Medical City Clark. I hope I make the right decision and for sure want to use your guy to find an apartment to rent there. Massage is cumulative. You suck in 40 hours of massage in a month and your whole damn being is different.

Walking street is a shit hole i couldn't breathe walking down that street last year. All the clubs smell of cigarettes smoke and vape.

Despite all the wealth we have in the West, there are still too many downsides for us men. I will do my best with my business, so I can be completely free and location-independent for the rest of my life. I see myself living in the Philippines forever.

it took a while, a month or so to acclimate
it can still be overwhelming in the Hot season 🥵 as long as you get out in it early rather than air con til noon and walk in to the oven 😜
