Thanks. Very educational. I’m an active 80 year old who just won north cal gold in Pickleball. I also enjoy biking. My knee has gotten worst lately from bone on bone arthritis and I appreciate your comments has progressive treatment.

I had this type of knee injections about 5-6 years ago. The doctor I went to did a series of three injections every two weeks. My knee (which has had several scopes and a ACL replacement surgery in 1991) never felt better. While others said this was a waste of time it ACTUALLY WORKED FOR ME.

PRP has been a godsend for me, after multiple surgeries and other unhealthy options I have had my knees rebuilt several times after injuries and "old athletic man" knees...ABI Autologous Blood Injections have also been very effective. They PRP and ABI hurt...cause swelling (healing inflammation Process) and PAIN...but WOW, 2 weeks later I was free of pain after several years of chronic painful misery. Had my shoulder rebuilt after MRI said bone on bone plus several other problems torn labrum on both sides etc. It took 6 treatments, one every 2 months to reach 100% healing (my Ortho surgeon didn't think it would work but I refused shoulder replacement). I am two years out and still perfect function ZERO issues still, I do Jiujitsu, I work construction...all good.

Very informative. I now understand why there are 3 x Hyaluronic injections, given over over a period of time. Cheers👍

I got a "gel" shot on a Wed. and by Thurs night I couldn't walk. The Dr. never mentioned coming back for follow up injections....just one and done. By Sunday I developed a fever and was admitted to the hospital for a week. At first they thought the knee was Septic but the lab work showed no sign of infection so they determined I had an allergic reaction to the shot. It's been a month and I'm just now able to use both legs but there's still pain and I now own a walker, a cane and a portable commode.

First, thank you so much for your video for knee osteoarthritis.
I have acute/chronic osteoarthritis in my knees as well as other areas of my body. I've became disabled, unable to walk from it. My story is too long, I can't explain everything I've been through in detail, which caused my osteoarthritis. To try and explain in short term as possible, I began with having a malignant giant cell tumor in my left in at 17 years old having surgery, then a re-occurance 7 months later and surgery again removing the tumor adding bone from my hip to the femur and bolts and screws for reinforcement. At 26 I had cervical cancer, having a complete hysterectomy. At 37 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a modified mastectomy. I was told my osteoarthritis being so bad was because I was unable to take hormones or use birth control pills, due to my cancers at a young age. I continued to work up and until I was 66 years old, with every year the pain progressing in my left knee, then shifting to my right knee due to my right knee over compensating for pain in my left knee. I've been under care of a pain specialist since. I was prescribed fentanyl patches, which I couldn't continue using because I could not function properly. I've been taking hydrocodone for pain since (which I hate).
I was told at that point I was not eligible for knee replacement so I continued with pain pills. Can you please tell me what other options I may have at this point? I'm now 73 years old, live alone, take care of myself and I and have no other major health issues, thank God. Any info and/or advice you could give me will be very, very much appreciated. Thank You, Linda from Texas.

      You are a warrior 👍🏻
Your story is itself a motivation for many.
You can try prp or fluid injection into the knees.
      Thanks and love from India

My Orthopedic surgeon who does Robotic assisted partial and total Knee Replacement reckons that hyaluroric acid injections for me would be an option for me as these course of injections actually condition ones synovial Fluid within the Knee so it that it becomes more viscous allowing the degraded joint surface to slide better through a daily range of movements and one could get up to nine to twelve month effective relief from this treatment.. bit like an Oil Change in your car Engine.
