Hi everyone! I am Eunhee form North Korea who is featured on this show by Yeonmi's generosity. First of all, thank you so much for your support to Yeonmi and second, thanks a lot for your beautiful comments of us. Because of your humanity, we could stand up to fight for the dictators. Take care and stay safe. Send my love from the bottom of my heart to all of you. Lastly, thank you so much for having me Yeonmi. Love you
lol I love how they're just two cute girls chit chatting like "what river did you cross?" as if asking "what brand of mascara are you using?" Like it was nothing.
Escape and survival aside, I'm just impressed and honored that you both deliver this message in English. And with a comprehensive vocabulary. Thank you, Yeonmi, for sharing your life here.
Thank you, most people have NO understanding how difficult it is to come from a non latin language speaking people and learn english at this level. Its what impressed me about Yenomi.

I often ask myself what it means to be an American, but you have answered my question. You are truly American to the core. I am so proud to call you my fellow American, and I hope all of your people make it to freedom.
Lucky girl. She had wise grandparents. It's amazing how much influence American movies have on people. Even with all the propaganda, the American (and South Korean) movies changed her mind.
@@markarrington3869 who's beating on who though? Because I'm with you on your statement, but it doesn't fit the narrative. I agree that men shouldn't beat women. I grew up around a lot of women. But I think this person is talking about how some men feel only lust towards these women, not the fact that they wanna uppercut them or something of that nature. God forbid it. 🙏
i’ve noticed this too, it’s always the white old men who fetishize asian women as “submissive” and “petite”. we’re talking about real world stuff and that’s all they can think about, however support is support.
Thank you Yeonmi and also Eunmi. Your longing for freedom and food was stronger than the danger of staying in hunger and oppressions. My hope for you is to see freedom for your people still living there.
Going threw withdrawals from addiction to painkillers and watching these videos are getting me through 😢 because what I'm going through is nothing to what they had to 😭😭
It gets better over time but u can do it. I went to a methadone clinic to stop but got tired of paying for that at $13 a day so I stopped that on 55mg cold turkey. It's been 2 years for me but it's hard when u have no support system at all, nobody to talk to about what's going on so basically I did it all alone with no support or understanding
Have you had the opportunity to speak with Korean War veterans? I’m a Navy veteran, but I ended up serving in the 1990s. The next time I visit the VA, I will ask Korean War vets what they think about your question.
Thank you so much Yeonmi, I was hoping you would interview Eunmi Park. I am very greatful. I was about to send you an email to interview her and you did it anyway, I am so very greatful!!! Sending love
Yes, finally my 2 favourite TH-camrs talking about North Korea collaborating together! It's interesting to see both of you talking in English while I imagine both of you must be talking in Korean in private :)
this is such an emotional video for me. As an American, i am so greatful for our freedom and go against the government and will never take it for granted.
You ladies are amazing, for sure the world is a better place with you two in it. Thank you so much Yeonmi for hosting your friend Eunhee, her story is very compelling.
Yeonmi your laughter is very contagious. Yuna, Yeonmi, and Eunhee are beautiful gems from the North. We all love the beautiful escapees from North Korea :) My life journey started in Thailand 1981 after my parents escaping the 'Red' Laos goverment. They hunted down everyone who supported America and General Vang Pao after The Secret War of Vietnam War. My dad was in the special forces supporting America and working under General Vang Pao. My dad and mom escaped Laos through the Mekong River and to Thailand. They lived in the refugee camp where I was born. Anyways my family of five of us got sponsored by my mom's sister to America in 1988. Coming to America is a true culture shock. True freedom requires blood and sacrifices.
I love this defector and have watched many of her videos! Can't wait to watch this interview with 2 of my favorite North Koreans! Thankyou for the video!
@Asgar Ukuleles how's it feel being a puppet for the fat soy boy from NK ? Yeonmi does not deny there were mischaracterizations and such.. considering the trauma she went thru as a child and the language differences it's understandable. She also wrote a book explaining those mischaracterizations. So take your pro communism pro kim jong un bullshit elsewhere
@Asgar Ukuleles Bruh that's a propaganda channel ..if that video's the reason you're hating in Yeonmi .. pls dont fall for such videos its stupid and dont share that to others
Both you ladies are amazing people - certainly an inspiration to anyone who listens to you. Yeonmi many in the new generation in America don’t have the appreciation that you possess. It’s because life came to easy for them. So your story not only helps us understand in depth why the North Korean people need to be free, but it also helps the younger generations in the USA understand how fortunate they are to live in this beautiful country. I’m not looking for extreme wealth, nor am I looking to find a mate as I have been happily married for 42 years, and I’d marry the same woman again if I had to do it all over again. I see the prudence, virtue, kindness, intelligence, and personal drive within you. I see your determination to make your life better along with everyone else that lives in your country. You also make anyone’s life better that you come in contact with just by listening to your story, and that is why I view your podcasts. I wish some way that I could help you with your position to free the people of North Korea. At this point all I can do is vote accordingly, and support your podcasts. My best to you both......you are both such sweet determined ladies. America loves you! If you have any negative comments, those are from the lowest of low in this country. I support your positive outlook. Thank you! Paul Petrulis USA
Yeonmi, thank you so much for this amazing interview. I truly appreciate how hard you work to have us know about what really goes on in North Korea. Keep up your fantastic work!
Blessed be Eunhee a beautiful and blessed Goddess has spoken with the beautiful and blessed Yeonmi. Wow, this is amazing. Let freedom ring. LET FREEDOM RING! Thank you girls for having a voice and for giving people a voice as well. So as long as free men die freedom will never perish. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. ❤👏❤👏❤
@Asgar Ukuleles I watched the video . I came to the conclusion that North Korea will deny anything anyone says against them . The truth is North Korea is a horrible place and no one has rights there. This girl is letting the world know about it to bring awareness and try to help save the people of North Korea.
@Paul85 how can I not respect this women ? She is one of the strongest people I've ever heard about . This girl wasn't even 90lbs and 12 or 13 years old SEVERELY MALNOURISHED AND UNHEALTHY and still her spirit and drive to live was strong enough to escape not only North Korea but China as well. This women has shown us how strong we as humans are with her family's TRUTH.
Eunhee! In college one of my professors told us something similar to what you said: Education is the ONLY thing that can't be taken from you! It really gave me a great perspective on the value of education.
Such brave and resourceful young ladies... Thank you for sharing your story with us... I deeply hope this can help other defectors and teach people the importance of freedom and human rights xxx
How disgusting that people feel their only option is to be exploited by others. Having said that… All of the victims are the bravest and most honourable people I am aware of. Thanks for making us aware of the struggles of others and what we take for granted here,
Wow. Another great Yeonmi interview! Thank you so much for sharing Eunhee’s fascinating story, and turning me on to her channel. I subscribed right away, and just watched her “drug” interview, “North Korean Drug Culture Exposed”. It’s a dark subject, of course, but she is so funny, a totally natural talent. I’m sure she will be a superstar if she wants. Totally REAL. With so much fake news, propaganda and censorship in the world, people everywhere are hungry for authentic voices. Your timing is impeccable! THANK YOU! 👍
Thank you so much, Yeonmi and Eunhee, as someone who was born and raised in the US, listening to you, I realize how much we take for granted. The US has it’s problems, for sure, but also so many freedoms and videos like this help me realize just how much I take for granted, thank you.
A story of determination and hope / thank you for sharing and we are blessed to have your freedom. Yeonmi / you truly are an angel in this world. You bring light 🙏🥰
Thank you for sharing her story. #EunheeFromNorthKorea Eunhee Park you are an inspiration too. Please continue sharing others stories. Like she said, you have the power. You are a ambassador for your Pehople!
@@garimakilledar5810 I've watched dozens of her videos and know quite a bit about her story at this point so yes that is what i took away from this vid.😂😂
@Chicken Stealer I’m all for seeking the truth yourself, but so many North Korean defectors’ stories line up. There are more and more people who are surviving these experiences and living to tell the tale. As of right now, they’re the best source of data we have, and they deserve to be believed.
The content on this Channel always hits me in the heart. I am inspired by both you ladies and how far you have come in spite of the odds. It also really helps me to appreciate democracy, free speech, and the comparatively small challenges. Thanks and keep up the good fight!
I think you do an amazing job on interviewing others! Love watching all your videos and interviews because it’s really giving me knowledge on North Koreans. What I have taken from this is North Korean people are amazing and can and will achieve anything they set their minds to. So strong. I would love to see an interview of a North Korean man sometimes.
The first time I saw Eunhee was from DigitalSojuTV, a few years ago. It's great to see how far she's come along. And Yeonmi's remarks about public housing struck a cord. No matter where in the world you are, some things will always be the same.
Its so amazing to hear everyone’s different stories and experiences. Im absolutely loving your channel and these long form interviews!! Keep up the amazing work! Im looking forward to finally reading your book soon!
Yeonmi Parks is my hero! Yeonmi, I listen to you every chance and I feel like you’re a friend. Nice to meet your friend. You two would make great friends! You should get together soon. God bless and protect you both!
@Asgar Ukuleles As far as I know N.Korea is not a country which possess Democratic and Human Values. It is a Bureaucratic Country. I don't know whether it is true or not, but I have seen the video of the N.Korean Ruler Kim Jong Un's Security Chief escapes from N.Korea and now he is in S.Korea. We are Humans so we should exists like a good human beings.
Listening to your stories you ladies are courageous to have been able to have escaped from such a dangerous place. Your journeys alone and stories are very inspiring to others. So glad you persevered while God brought you through. God bless you all!!!
Yeonmi and Eunhee. I have the utmost respect for both of you. God bless and keep you both in His grace. Praying for you and the people of North Korea always. Pastor Bill from Ohio.
I love this!!! Two gorgeous smart women who are braver than most men these days!! God bless you two!! So much potential and talent goes unnoticed and goes to waste in North Korea, I hope soon they will all get to taste the freedom they all deserve!!
I did it again. I watched the whole 1:07:01 video. I have also subscribed to both channels. Appreciating your freedom as North Koreans do is something that Americans should do more of. Too many of us take that freedom for granted. Most do not really understand the struggles that other countries go through to have even half of what we have. I still think that Yeonmi is a beautiful young lady but Eunhee is more my style of woman. Older and still beautiful.
I love that you interview different people who left NK because it shows the different experiences each person has and their reasons for wanting to leave! and each person is so different even though outsiders might see each person in North Korea as being on the same level.
Do not want to be slave of money: A wise decision that not many people are aware of. Indeed, everyone needs spiritual fulfilment not just material ones. Well done Ms Eunhee for giving us the wisdom of life in generosity.
Young lady, Americans take their freedom and their good way of life for granted. This generation has never had to do without. So every little thing in life that does not go their way, they make themselves to be victims. They ought to be ashamed. The way you lived, and what you had to do to be free is an example for us all. I respect you very much because you have a real good reason to love your freedom. That is how Americans used to be. We knew the cost for that freedom was shed in American blood. And my respects also to the young lady that you interviewed. I wish her the very best, and pray that she has a wonderful and prosperous life of freedom.
I feel that Yeonmi would make a great speaker to young people in America because she's been through so much but is so strong, hopeful and beautiful in spite of it. More people need to hear her.
The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people.
The very 1st time i started hearing ur stories my 1st thought was what a magnificent strong people!! The world needs you. It needs ur beauty and strength and talent!! My heart fell in love with you !! U were on my heart for many days. Then i had a dream!! That china was dealt with n also the regime in NK!! There were thousands of plane drops of food and supplies!! But they needed so much help to b free of mind control n to "learn to be free" and yoenmi was named ambassador to NK!!! N was involved in helping her people to be free and be who they were created to be in the world!! (Many of my dreams happen!!) Love you all. Pray for you everyday!!
Your care for your people is proven and 'verified' (for lack of a better word :)) by your interviews of fellow refugees, get the word out! Much love to you and your work Yeonmi (and Eunhee and others who work with human rights activism)!
She is right. You are amazing. I wonder how many people have been able to escape because of the efforts you put forth. We will never know because it is too many. The universe has used your sorrow and experience to bless thousands.
Eunhee Park tells us that she learned English at school in North Korea (around 35:05). She also tells that she was sent to college to study chemistry (around 24:36). Eunhee tells about the beauty if the city of Wonsan (around 59:36) (a pretty picture of Pyongyang is also shown). On the other hand, Eunhee tells that she had to endure a stressful life in South Korea for a long period, with lack of sleep and nutrition, and that she got tuberculosis as a result (around 49:49). All this contradicts the account which Yeon Mi delivers about North Korea.
1:00:00 she also mentions that we need a lot of versions of stories to put the pieces together. Everyone's experience was different and they had no means of mass communication like us here on youtube platform.
Thank you both for your bravery and strength. Yeonmi I just listened to your interview with Bek Lover and I am ashamed of how ungrateful I have been in my life. Thank you for the perspective. May all your coming days be blessed. Keep speaking out. I tell everyone about you and the struggle of North Koreans.
Both of you are incredibly inspiring! You were so brave to escape and braver still to continue to fight to bring awareness about North Korea and help someday free your fellow countrymen. Thank you for your ongoing fight against oppression.
Really interesting to hear about your journey to freedom. This interview format works well; Yeonmi you have a great way of bringing out the best in your guests. Thank you.
Eunhee, talking about height in centimeters and not knowing conversion of height in feet/inches: "I don't know, sometimes I don't understand why America" Girl... we Americans don't why understand either.
You are both very inspiring. The power of the human spirit is really unimaginable. Thank you for sharing your experiences. It really put things into perspective and makes you appreciate the simple things in life. I cannot imagine going through what you two have been through yet stay strong and unbroken. You deserve to be applauded for coming out of all these as successful and inspiring young women. Keep doing what you’re doing. I’m sure that one day, North Koreans left behind will be free as well and a lot of it will be because of people like you who paved the way. Well done!👏👏👏👏

on people. Even with all the propaganda, the American (and South Korean) movies changed her mind.
How do people listen to these stories and feel the need to sexualize these women in the comments? These women are SO much more than their appearance.
Their looks captures eyes, their minds captures hearts.
I suppose we just have to accept the fact that a certain percentage of the male population are
total jarheads.
I dont know, but would like to beat on them like THEY like to beat on women.
I have a daughter who is also 29..I couldnt imagine her going thru this so young as u both did..U both are Strong Awesome Ladies 💗💗💗
It's crazy what they have gone through
I was also born in 1991 and can't imagine going through even a 1/3 of what she went through.
I'm 21 right now, and I could never imagine having to make the decisions Eunhee had to make at my age.
Strong and intelligent women.
Thank you Yeonmi and also Eunmi. Your longing for freedom and food was stronger than the danger of staying in hunger and oppressions. My hope for you is to see freedom for your people still living there.
Going threw withdrawals from addiction to painkillers and watching these videos are getting me through 😢 because what I'm going through is nothing to what they had to 😭😭
Red strain Kratom will help you immensely. Hope things have gotten better for you.

Yeah my friend prepared 22 years until he had chance to escape
Please share further details
Wow. Is he doing ok now?
22yrs!? How old is your friend?
Have you had the opportunity to speak with Korean War veterans?
I’m a Navy veteran, but I ended up serving in the 1990s. The next time I visit the VA, I will ask Korean War vets what they think about your question.
Love y’all! Thank goodness y’all are free! 🤠🇺🇸🇰🇷
I love watching you💙
Thank you so much Yeonmi, I was hoping you would interview Eunmi Park.
Is great you include other defectors in your video's
You ladies are amazing, for sure the world is a better place with you two in it. Thank you so much Yeonmi for hosting your friend Eunhee, her story is very compelling.
Thank you for your kind words, Jeffrey!
Thank you for the comment Yeonmi
Very interesting hearing about the struggle she had to establish herself in S Korea!
❤👍
I love this defector and have watched many of her videos! Can't wait to watch this interview with 2 of my favorite North Koreans! Thankyou for the video!
@Asgar Ukuleles how's it feel being a puppet for the fat soy boy from NK ? Yeonmi does not deny there were mischaracterizations and such.. considering the trauma she went thru as a child and the language differences it's understandable. She also wrote a book explaining those mischaracterizations. So take your pro communism pro kim jong un bullshit elsewhere
You are all so brave, I have so much admiration for you all. Thank you for educating us all, you are all so inspirational! 👏👏👏👏
@Asgar Ukuleles Oof! That commie propaganda is laughable. Keep trying, jackass.
I’m so impressed by how beautifully you both speak.
@Asgar Ukuleles Bruh that's a propaganda channel ..if that video's the reason you're hating in Yeonmi .. pls dont fall for such videos its stupid and dont share that to others
@Asgar Ukuleles just look at the other videos on that channel
Guys don’t reply to the propaganda fellow. Just report his comment as spam and unwanted content
You are the best people. So happy to hear from you! You are a true hero.
@Asgar Ukuleles that is a total lie. Communist propaganda
It was made in dprk
Yeonmi is a true hero and you are truly rude
@Paul85 thanks, the channel he linked me too is run by the nk government
@Paul85 sure you are an awesome person too stand with me
I appreciate you are not afraid of long video, it gives time to have real discussion.
I thought you were interviewing your sister! Any chance she'd wanna talk with you?
I had to reread it carefully, after the video started, because I read the same thing. I have the same question.
No similar name but different person
@@jabariphillips766 Park is a very common name in Korea. Like Smith or Brown.
@@ralphkern380 yes I am aware of that. I followed Euhee before this video and its kind of written Pak but anglicised Park
Thought it was her sister too.
I remember watching her speech on tedtalk can you interview hyeongseo lee she lived in hyesan like you
Same last name, same city... they could even be third or fourth cousins for all we know. That would be a great story, don't you think?
Hyeongseo Lee Ajay has a great book about her escape and transition to being free. It's a great read! Of course, so is Yeonmi's!
@Asgar Ukuleles Whoever dislikes this communist shill, let's get rid of the the Kim Jong-un ass kissing wumao, Asgar Ukuleles, together.
Omg I'm reading her book now! Halfway through!!
@Asgar Ukuleles shut the hell up commie. You're 12. Get off youtube before your account gets banned for tos.
I adore you so much!!! Your making such a difference in the world. ❤
Wow, what an amazing story. We take so much for granted. I'm gonna buy her book.
These are two incredibly strong women!!
I love these videos exposing North Korea ❤️ keep it up
I have learned so much watching your channel, I appreciate you!
You ladies are all so brave!
I served in South Korea in 95’. The things we heard at that time were amazing. It was difficult to be stationed on the DMZ at that time.
@Rakkasan - Vet, yes, please do tell.
Thank you for telling the truth about North Korea.
You're amazing ladies 💖
Thank you both for surviving North Korea 💖 .
@Asgar Ukuleles maybe you should go defect to North Korea and try it out for yourself 😉
@Fuck Yeonmi communist is a fraud
Omg, girl. You are a hero for surviving this all and dont loosing your mind. ❤️
Eunhee! In college one of my professors told us something similar to what you said: Education is the ONLY thing that can't be taken from you! It really gave me a great perspective on the value of education.
Such brave and resourceful young ladies... Thank you for sharing your story with us... I deeply hope this can help other defectors and teach people the importance of freedom and human rights xxx
this is the most heartwarming video i watched. you girls are so strong!!!!! keep your head high always. so much love from the united kingdom.
that´s amazing story! I really admire the North Koreans who had brave to leave their country, although it is so hard.
You inspire me so much!! I hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday season
It was so interesting learning about how different your experiences were even though you both escaped from North Korea.
How disgusting that people feel their only option is to be exploited by others. Having said that…
All of the victims are the bravest and most honourable people I am aware of.
Thanks for making us aware of the struggles of others and what we take for granted here,
the upshot of both your stories is "freedom isn't free"; you women are amazing! Much love from Utah USA
THANK YOU! 👍
Both of LADIES have my love and respect . 🌺 🌺
Y’all are amazing! Strong and beautiful women. ♥️
let’s talk about that fact that Yeonmi’s makeup is STUNNING. I’m obsessed.😱😍
That's your takeaway from the interview????!!! 🤦🏻♀️
@@garimakilledar5810 I've watched dozens of her videos and know quite a bit about her story at this point so yes that is what i took away from this vid.😂😂
@@kingpofficial But you don't know about the guest. She is new to the channel and she had an important story to tell. Just saying🤷🏻♀️
Smart girl
She didn't believed north korea from start
@Chicken Stealer I should believe a troll from the internet I guess 😂
These two stories are so different. Eunhee left for nice clothes and the other for food and the inevitable outcome of starvation or death.
Wow, Eunhee is a total hustler / boss! I'm so inspired by her:)
Great Madam. Welcome to this free world and wishing you a great success in your future life.
Wow, Eunhee went through so much too. Thank you for sharing your story as well.
“Education is priceless.”
I completely agree. 💖💖
First she has to invest both time and money in speech therapy and pronountiation
The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people.
Strong, brave, resourceful, beautiful ladies. Thank you both.
You're so amazing Yeonmi & Eunhee your stories are so inspirational cant imagine what going through that is like
Your care for your people is proven and 'verified' (for lack of a better word :)) by your interviews of fellow refugees, get the word out! Much love to you and your work Yeonmi (and Eunhee and others who work with human rights activism)!
She is right. You are amazing. I wonder how many people have been able to escape because of the efforts you put forth. We will never know because it is too many. The universe has used your sorrow and experience to bless thousands.
Yeonmi i ordered your book yesterday ! Looking forward to reading it . God bless you .
I love when you say freedom is hard work.
You ladies are awesome. Waking people up is always a hard task, keep it up. Much love and be safe.
Der Titel suggeriert dies sei Eunmi Park, Yeimis Schwester, aber ist sie nicht...clickbaiting....
Yeonmi, One of the things I like about you your guests is that you really understand how important freedom is.
Both of you are incredibly inspiring! You were so brave to escape and braver still to continue to fight to bring awareness about North Korea and help someday free your fellow countrymen. Thank you for your ongoing fight against oppression.
Your both amazing women.. I am so happy your both finally free and can hep the world to make all of your people free ❤
Really interesting to hear about your journey to freedom. This interview format works well; Yeonmi you have a great way of bringing out the best in your guests. Thank you.
Eunhee, talking about height in centimeters and not knowing conversion of height in feet/inches:
"I don't know, sometimes I don't understand why America"
Girl... we Americans don't why understand either.
same for me coming from Europe , living in Canada is still hard to do the conversion, everything is different I always have to check 😊
😂 when American customers patronise my workplace, they ask me the conversion from cm to inches too 😂
You are both very inspiring.
It was so emotional to watch thank you both
Loved this video, you girls are extremely resilient 💛 support from Toronto, Canada!
I love the support you give each other despite having different journeys. ❤
I wonder what happened to the family that escaped with her.
I never realized how much work and learning it is for y’all to learn to be free!!😳😳 Y’all are such strong girls!!! Way to go!!!!
I am struck by your kindness and bravery Of you both. I am so happy you’re in America and it makes me look at this country so differently. Thank you!
Please keep these interviews going Yeonmi! They are so interesting xx
