Ive worked with so many brickies that wouldn’t lay if the fascia is in the way. This video shows that a bit of finesse and pride to get the cuts in neat & nice - not just thrown in just to be covered.
I thought about it last year, and actually put some things in motion. However after a few talks and things behind the scenes. Too little pay...too much paperwork...and too much emphasis on pushing people through NVQs to please someone high up..making sure they're hitting their targets. I'd rather make separate youtube videos making simple videos showing people how to get on🙂
Another excellent video from you Izzy my friend. These are rolling off the production line like those houses nice and consistent. You take such care with those houses and your work. Well done 😊
Thank you very much Nigel! Working on the next 2 videos as I write this message to you! No rest for the wicked! Enjoy the rest of your week mate and I'll see you next Monday!
@@IzzytheBricky always a pleasure Izzy! i am thank you, wood burner turned up to maximum. best thing we ever bought. feel for you working out there in the cold and rain mate
Cracking bit of work there mate! 15 days to get this house built is very very good! In an earlier video you mentioned there's 18000 brick in each house. With all the corners and the stugglea with the scaffolding, you and the team at Hotchen are wizard's at getting bricks laid efficiently! P.s. glad to hear Jake is better 😂
I doubt I'd be leveling and plumbing up there...... fair play to you 🤟🤦🎅.....or measuring the lintols bearing 😂😂... area of a triangle ( peak!) length x height... then half it👊👊
I bet those “reject” bricks cost a fortune. Can’t believe an architect would specify using them. I know you covered on the beginning of this project but mate they look awful on my ipad, i’d hate to see them close up and sure as hell wouldn’t want my house built with them. Having said that your work and ethic is top notch and I love your videos
Hiya mate, so from a far, beautiful rustic brick, up close not so much. They are 1 pound a brick, very expensive for what they mate! Thanks so much appreciate your support
They cost an arm and a leg. About £1 per brick, never mind the cost of laying 🤔. Look very good when laid right. As you are lads 👌. Great job👍 Old and rustic, can see why the client has gone with them 100%. They look mint! Keep up the good work chaps! Very nice
Bats and swallows in you're house all year round. I can't get my head round it? Every end house on our site, either has a bird/bat box on their peak that is close to a tree or Bushey? Mental too think a buyer will have bats flying around their house at some point next year???
You're a superb bricklayer Izzy - Keep the video's coming
Thanks my mate! Hope yourself & the family are well!

Izzy I think you would make brilliant teacher for bricklaying and all the different techniques the up and coming bricklayers

Since when do they install windows before the brick work is done.
Pretty standard on timber frame houses mate.
