Tiny tip to Sanitarium. Hold on to your extra copies. Especially when you are running out of steam. Play it, legend rule it as an untap to the land. I see Crim discarding one with a full grip. I think there were certainly less useful cards than to your triple waste not trigger again in the same turn.
Is there a thing where GGing at the end of games is frowned upon in MTG Arena? I GG every game, win or loss (unless you're a filthy blue/white control player) as just sportsmanship
I think that's fine in-person when you can test your opponents' expression to judge whether it would be welcome. In Arena it can be interpreted ironically (and it is often used that way by jerks) so to avoid hard feelings the courtesy is to gg when you have lost or are about to lose.
It's not a big deal, but since "GG" is a universal shorthand for "I concede", it can come off as rude if the winning player declares it prior to delivering the coup de grâce.
I'm just coming back to magic after not playing for 20 years. I'm building a modern deck similar to this one, but I have a question: Can funeral charm be effectively used as a counter spell, so long as my opponent is playing their only card? In other words, because my funeral charm can be played in response to a spell they are attempting to cast, it will be higher on the stack, and could therefore remove that card from their hand before they cast it? Or, do all of the castings already take place before the stack is resolved, meaning that if my funeral charm goes off before the only spell they had in their hand, then their hand is empty when the charm goes off, and therefore my charm does nothing, and then there's spell would be successfully resolved in the next step of the stack?
I'm playing an intentionally more janky build (to do cool stuff) and hit Mythic last month with the deck in best of 3's and I am almost there this month. It is a solid Tier 2 deck with the sideboard options to beat any of the main decks in the format. There are some good play tips in the comment section already you should try the deck again with what you learned and the tips here.
I apologize ahead of time if there's a specific place for this. But I don't understand how I see so many mythics and rares in explorer. I thought pioneer was commons and uncommons.
Depends what you are more scared of: Mono-Green or Convoke. Personally i would run Languish because convoke is so fast that your discard effects will not be in time and you need to 100% clear the board when you get to. Mono-Green is more disrupted by fatal push and thoughtseize, i don't think you need the mainboard extinction event for it.
I find it upsetting how Crim has been making content for MTG Goldfish for so long (a year?) and he is still not great at explaining his plays and thought processes. At least he's good at meming.
From watching Crim this past year and seeing him play, his thought process seems to be best described as, "BRAIN OFF, CAST SPELLS" It's truly what makes him so interesting to watch.
@@Sinistra359It’s not the gameplay they’re upset at, dense one. Crim has an audience on this entertainment, Magic gameplay channel. Crimothy, you’re underestimating the value you’re giving your opponent by allowing them to loot with 1 card in hand rather than 0. Please stop, it makes me sad.
I love how Crim will spam emotes, then call out the opponent for BM when they say Good Game
Yeah, that wasn't even a bad GG imo. I think it was genuine.
I said something about it a couple weeks ago, and I got more than a few people saying "he doesn't spam, he just sends one at the end of a game!!!1!"

When the opponent is empty handed, use Sanitarium on your turn, if they discard a land you get to use the mana
First opponent could've waited 15 seconds to see there wasn't a board clear. People have less than 0 patience
I wondered what was up with that.
@@AC3handle In my experience he likely had better to do than playing a children card game (I quote Crim's precise words)
That one feels like they had something come up outside the game and had to leave, I don't think they thought they'd lost

Throw in graveyard trespasser. Hard to discard to ward with small hand, and even if they do, you get value
Not a bad idea. What would you cut though? Sheoldred ends games really fast, and Go Blank battles the graveyard making GT worse.

Man. I made a waste not deck back when core 2015 came out. It was one of my first decks and I didnt know what I was doing lol.
ive been playing waste not almost since arena came out but i havent seemed to master the art of actually drawing the card the way crim has

When Elf scoops when they have the win....WEAKNESS DETECTED
“And the BM” what BM? Saying good game is literally good sportsmanship
It is BM for the winner to declare "GG" as they are about to win. The More You Know 🌠
Ok but why do you bm so much?

I might run something like Burglar Rats instead of Tergrid. Tergrid seems a bit win-more-y.

Imo yes, because of ghalta and sheoldred.
Languish is better vs RW tokens and tribal decks
