    The way that they make the start of the snare break feel like a drumset swing groove with the sticking is something I wanna see more often honestly

    That snare break is nutty.

    As a performer of the bass feature (bass 4) I never really thought of the unison bars as a listening device for the audience. I thought of it as like ok here comes the hard parts. And little secret but the mega lazer was the 2nd easiest of the 3 hard parts.

      Also Mike wasn’t kidding about dealing with injuries. It wasn’t until maybe the last day of pretour where we had all 18 members moving and playing without anyone having to take a break or put the drum down. And then we still had freak accidents happen on tour. It was a rough stretch so add in a lot of missed reps with a short season and a very difficult show and it was pretty good how we turned out.

    • @agedoutpodcast
      @agedoutpodcast  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yea that’s wild. But I can definitely see how the shortened season can lead to moving faster with things giving less time for strength to be built and bodies to adjust to the physical stress and resulting in more injuries than there may have normally been.

    • @claytonbinner
      @claytonbinner 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@agedoutpodcast Also the long regular season is perfect for easing the body into the season and also time at the end of the season to clean the beats. Also for designers to make big changes like if they need to change the closer.

    Saying these guys are rookies isn't really saying much since most people do open class or "lower teir" corps before getting into one of the top 12. If they were true rookies than I'd be more impressed.
