In this 2022 Diving Ducks Crochet tutorial I will show You how to crochet slippers in Bernat Yarn. This is a fast crochet project and it can be done in a couple of hours. I´ve made them in Bernat Yarn and I absolutely love how soft they are. They are comfortable to use around the house and is also a nice little crochet gift idea.
Crocheting slippers is the new trend right now. Not only that, it's easy to do and takes very little amount of time to make one. Many crafters are so interested in crocheting these kind of accessories that they got out of their chair, started searching and trying out different websites and tutorials just to end up with a perfect pattern that they can follow and make one of their own. Crochet has become a simple global craze these days. The beauty of it, it's not just the thick, chunky yarn or the big hook or even the rows and rows of stitches that those crafters are in love with. It's all about making something useful for themselves, for their loved ones.
I will go forward very slowly and explain every step in this bernat yarn crochet slippers tutorial also if you´re a new crocheter and looking to crochet slippers for beginners.

I had the same issue!!! It looked like Herman Munster's Bootie! I halved the number of stochastic in the original circle and then made the number of rows before the heel based on trying it on my foot. Hope that helps.

In the video the hooksize seems too small for the yarn. I would either use a smaller hook or decrease the number of Stiches.

Something I found helpful for those with smaller feet is to decrease the amount of rounds before getting to the heel (i used 12 rounds excluding the first 3 starting rounds), as well as slightly decreasing the stitch count for those rounds from 27 to say 25. I would put the sock on my foot to gauge how big it was

Thanks for a great pattern! I love these booties!!! Super easy and fast and so comfy! I have small feet so used a 5.5 mm hook for bottom portion in all single crochet. I used Big Twist Hush (bulky 5) which works up a bit stiffer than the Bernat so I switched to a 6.0 mm for top part and did all double crochet on top. Great instructions and easy to follow. Think I'll have to make a few more for family holiday gifts!!

I like it because you spiral instead of counting stitches and don't have to worry about connecting rows. I don't like counting and recounting. This is easier.

Hi , thank you for sharing this project. The only thing is that the 3rd row(2 together in same stitch and 1 stitch the next), the total stitches will be 24 and not 27.

I was confused about this as well but theres a comment she made that you just keep going till 27sts, it's a bit more than 1 round!
What I found was a little easier was for my brain to comprehend:
Round 1: 6 sc in first loop of chain (6 st)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st (12 st)
      Round 3: 2 sc than 1 sc (18 st)
      Round 4: 2 sc than 1 sc (27 st)
