Pity you don't answer anyone's questions/queries! Also....why come out and totally slate Harringtons when there is far worse dry dog foods on the market?
I love your bold impartiality. Dog owners need to know more of this. I'm passionate about what I feed my boy - raw, with mushroom supplementation, turmeric, lots of highly nutritious extras. He's 9 and absolutely thriving - nobody believes his age; it's glorious to see him so happy. I die a little bit inside whenever someone talks about the kibble their dog eats.
What dry food brand do you recommend using? Raw feeding isn't always practical for people to feed their dogs. Also some dog have issues with raw feeding as well.
@@stephenowen8815 you obviously can't read. What if a dog can't eat raw for some medical reason. Or what if a dog won't eat raw food? What does he recommend? I actually feed my dog Utterly Rawsome and Finer by Nature. You muppet
You dont need to agree, you're not a professionally trained nutritionist, but a commerical food customer, who likes a bargain for your best friends daily meals. You go eat space raiders for breakfast lunch and dinner, see what happens to your body. Better yet, throw in a mcdonalds cheese burger once a day 😂😂
So what dry food do you recommend? I have my pup on Harringtons at the moment and his pooh is soft (Mr Whippy like), he loves it but then again he just loves food but not sure what to switch him to, some mention forthglade on here??
Please can you give me your opinion about these two dog food brand which I give my Cavaliers...Denes moist tinned dog food, and Fish4dogs salmon kibble. Thank you.
He really knows his stuff. I feed my dog fresh roast chicken and Lily's kitchen dog food wet and leave down dry dog food. I would really appreciate it if you do a video on Lily's kitchen. I have done a lot of research and meat meal is such crap ingredients but also the main ingredient should be fresh meat and at least 70%. I do feel feeding poor dog food causes lots of medical problems. All my dogs including my great Dane have lived past 12years old. I have very few vets visits but lots of people I know who are fellow dog walkers use bakers and other really poor food and all of them have had issues with cancer and dying between 6-8years old. Do your research as a lot of the best dog food manufacturers are exploiting us, consumers.
hi pal which is the best dry puppy food i can give my puppy? at the moment I have started my puppy on Harrington's turkey dry food which he only eats if there is raw egg in or minced lamb but if there is no egg or lamb in then the puppy stuggles and comes back and forth for a bite Dee Birmingham ( American bully 12 weeks old)
that's why you mix wet and dry this is utter shite. I feed my dog Harrington's wet and dry mix and it's never been healthier it went from dull coat and lethargy to glowing vibrant coat and full of energy after switching to harringtons even the vet said wow that is one healthy dog what are you feeding it ?? I told her she said that's fine to keep feeding her Harrington's. she said Harrington's is totally fine!
To be honest, there's worse, much worse. Especially the big name, heavily advertised stuff and supermarket own brands. Not everyone can afford £60 to £70 for a bag of dog food. Read the ingredients, look for the highest named protein on the label you can afford. Go online, you won't find any dog food worth having in a grocery store.
exactly i have fed harris tons for years aswell as wet food and a bit of raw food i can’t afford to have my dog on a fully raw diet so adding a bit of et a bit of kibble and a bit of raw daily stops me from losing a lot of cash and i only really use the kibble to slow down my ig eating the rest of
So are you saying that ALL dry kibble and perhaps wet food is bad? I'm thinking of switching my pom to raw at 12months, so 3m to go, as I've heard the calcium to phosphorus ratio is important for growing puppies, which is only found in quality commercial food. I dont even know what quality kibble/wet food is, so confused.
Hey Anna, do it! It's actually all really easy and has been massively over complicated to put you off doing it yourself. If you need some extra help I sell recipes for Pom's on my website.
@@annawong1305 No. She's no puppy anymore! Dogs age much faster than pet food companies like to admit, that's why she can sit, stay, come or maybe just run away at such a young age! I say once they're past 4 months, they should be eating adults. There's no nutritional balancing act done in nature. For mammals, it's mother's milk, half digested food then adult food. This process is fast for dogs whom age rapidly.

All very well slagging this dog food off, but whats your agenda . There are so many brands of kibble on the market the consumer is at a loss what to choose for the best
I’ve been feeding my lab pup lifestage for the past 6 month (salmon) It’s worked wonders for his skin and coat, he’s also turned out very strong and stocky too.
The problem with all these opinions is you don’t know the motive. I read on a dog food comparison site Harringtons came out miles better than Pedigree and Bakers.
Thank you for the videos I am more confused then ever, I feed my dogs Harrington's. I have read a lot around chicken meal etc and 98% of sites I go on say it is fine unless it reads by product. They also say how fresh chicken for example may not be best due to the water content being so high. What could you recommend my chow chows who have very sensitive stomachs and me who is completely confused with lots of mislead information out there. Thank you
A Vet said that all dog food have no goodness in it for your dog because the food is boiled to such a high temperature, the reason this is done is, so that the food has longer shelf life, hence the food is all brown in colour. So basically all dry dog food are much the same then, no matter what brand you use.
got our puppy already eating it, wanted him off it from the start, he’s nearly 5 months and he HATES IT himself. now making the time to switch him over to Raw, fresh !!!! feel bad i wanted nearly 3 months 😢😢
My youngest dog is fourteen months old and so fussy. Nearly every food upset her stomach including some expensive brands like applaws. She was skin and bone with her ribs showing until I discovered harringtons. She gets the lamb flavoured harringtons with butchers tripe tin mixed in and clears her dish and has began to fill out. If its bad for her I'm going to have to think again maybe I'll try raw
Would it surprise you to know the average age for Labrador in the fifties was 21 years old? Processed foods have funded not only big pharma for humans but also for animals. My Nans GSD lived until 18 years old and sadly my beautiful boy was 10 1/2 years old. We were told it’s an average age. If I had fed him same as my Nan (quality human food) I’d still be enjoying those extra years. I used Harringtons through ignorance and regret my decision of convenience. 💔 Now have two Malinois x Dutch Shepherd and they are only fed homemade food and fresh bones from the butcher. Make friends with your local butcher. It will save money and heartbreak.
I wouldn't use Harringtons because they cant even do packaging. Some of their dog trays always open and the box openings are at the ends. Design and quality control very questionable.
I totally appreciate your tips about this brand....I’ve tried it for a month, as it had the best stuff on the label of the rest of the opportunities for a puppy on those shelves, but our JRT didn’t like it too much, then we gave a go with Iams, but it was not great...now we are on Forthglade, we were unsure if was better this or Lilly’s Kitchen....we found sometimes our dog regurgitating a part of the meal....we thought it was better as hypoallergenic and with probiotic, but may be it’s not the best. Sometimes I whish to have an easy label to read, so if I want to spend more for a better quality, I can go straight to one product. May I ask a suggestion? Which dog food is healthy for real for a puppy? Thank you very much.
Do you get these companies angry at you, I agree with you I just wondered as your not afraid to say what you feel, these companies are often huge and powerful
