The age of supersonic travel came just a little nearer
on July 1st when Concorde 002, the British-built
pre-production model of the Anglo-French supersonic
jet, arrived back in London after a month long sales
tour of the Far and Middle East. Flying 45,000 miles
and visiting 12 countries, the plane aroused interest
and controversy wherever it went.
