Idk if this means anything but she was also in one of the original omori comics, she looked like she was either trying to stop omori from stabbing himself (which we now know is how he leaves headspace/wakes up), or trying to convince him to stab himself.

See, sprites om the games files suggest Abbi was originaly supposed to be humanoid, but all the faces for the sprites are replaced with this question mark. There's also artwork of Omori with a knife aimed at himself, with Abbi as this transparent figure in front of him, looking as if her hands were over his, forcing the knife towards him. It should also be noted that in a page for a scrapped drawing for the sketchbook, there was a woman undoing a bra. Mix that with a page from a scrapped comic book of Omori with his laptop, with the screen having the text 'Live Hot Girls!', and I think I have a semi-rough understanding of Abbi: Abbi is the representation of repressed lust and sexual urges gone awry. Originally taking the form of a 'dream girlfriend', my hypothesis is that after what happened that scarred Sunny (I'm avoiding some spoilers here, because SOME of us have yet to reach that point!), what was once his ideal girlfriend became his worst enemy as the image of her became twisted and vile, to the point where- apparent in the artwork of her with the knife- he began having nightmares of her trying to kill him. In an attempt to maintain some semblance of safety, Omori locked away this repressed lust, leaving her in the Abyss. This would also explain what the Abyss is meant to represent: Repressed memories and emotions. It's why you see so many Shadow Monsters. Though, an interesting detail is that each of those Shadow Monsters? They have names. The large Angler is named Angi, the cluster of eyes is Lilli, and the tall figure is named Merci. In fact, something I noticed after some digging... The names of all the Shadow Monsters- or SOMETHINGs- are Angi, Lilli, Merci, Dorothi, Nanci, Salli, Abbi, and Cindi. Not only are they all female, they all contain an I at the end.

Sure, he holds great admiration and sibling love towards Mari, but this 'ideal partner' thing may have spurred from differing emotions entirely... Anothere theory is that ABBI is the “wisest” that the branch coral talked about. So it could be that ABBI basically found out the truth (like basil) and was banished to the Abyss.
i believe Abbi was changed because in the original omori boy blog omori was older than he is now. Also Omori himself is one of the somethings (see unused hikikomori route something battle)

I'm little upset with this game, i just did finished with good ending, and the game had picnics baskets near the end.. so i saved in a point of no return. So yeah... i beated the game, and did not get to see all this other stuff from Abyss and i didn't even saw Orange Oasis cause i didn't knew where was this train station. Why the game devs let this happen? There isn't supposed to be able to save when you are very close to the end. I just won't gonna start the game all over again just to see the stuff i missed.
You can't do any of this stuff without doing the alternate route, which starts right after the prologue. You would have had to have a save from near the beginning of the game.
