@@yazidefirenze I know I hated the ai in gtav for that reason, and I think the reason they programed it like that was so that people playing online would get wanted more easily in order to cause more chaos and destruction resulting in them spending more money on vehicles, weapons etc.

But you're wrong, it's not a rifle. It's a submachine gun, or maybe a carbine. Rifles have barrel length greater than 431 mm.

I always try to not go over 60mph so i dont accidentally hit a police car
But sometimes the police in mafia 2 accidentally hit me they just carry on patrolling because they know its not my fault but in gta v they will just arrest you

and Depressing how Mafia isn't get any enough even though that's the how police AI would actually work.
I’m pretty sure they do it on purpose. You have to remember, GTA is a parody of American culture.
But I agree with you even though I’ve never played a single Mafia game. The series deserves recognition and praise.
@@prowthegamer I would highly recommend playing mafia franchise, Idk about mafia 3 since i haven't played or watched it on yt, but i definitively recommend the 1st and 2nd installments, maybe do mafia definitive edition, its quite amazing tbh, if you can buy and run it on your pc (or console)
@@necrobynerton7384 Mafia 3 has a really good story and ambience, its on par with its predecessors. The rest is shit, AI is shit, Cops shoot on sight similar to gta v, you can kill everybody with a knife because thugs are dumb. The side missions they ask you to do in order to progress in the main storyline are repetitive as fuck.
EDIT: It's like they tried to copy GTA V and failed miserably

This one time when I was playing Mafia 2, one of the micks that set Vito's house on fire found himself in a infinite loop of bribing the police. I love it when the game's police will police itself & not be entirely focused on the player.
I like how in mafia 2, if you steal someone’s car and they rip u out of it to get it back, then police show up, the police try to arrest the person who’s car you stole haha. Logic.
Back then there weren't any mobile phones so that the guy whose car you robbed can call the police so that they will know who's in the wrong in that situation

Mafia 1, Mafia 2 and Mafia: Definitive Edition share similar cop AI. Speeding, running red lights and crashing would prompt police to pull you over and give you a fine. Bumping into a cop prompts him to demand your ID. Sadly, a cut feature from Mafia 2 would have let you forge a gun permit, and having a gun visible in front of cops would have them demand to see a permit. If you had it, they wouldn't arrest you. There's a great mod for GTA V which allows cops to pull you over for various vehicle laws like red lights, speeding, mobile phone use etc.
What's even more impressive about Mafia cop AI is that they treat civilian NPCs the same as the player. If a civilian NPC car knocks someone down or crashes, cops will pull it over and give them a ticket/attempt to arrest them (then accept a bribe).
Not to mention, in Mafia 2 (and to some extent Mafia 3), cops will seal off stores that get robbed or have their shopkeeper killed inside. They'll be seen inside investigating and then later crime scene tape will be over the door or a crime scene sign.

It’s kind of sad that a small game series like Mafia perfected the police response system, while a huge game franchise like GTA doesn’t have police that respond appropriately to crimes.
The answer is clear without even watching the video if you've played any of them. Mafias cops actually had some effort put into them. GTAs cops were an after thought that just try to harm you.
This video makes me want to look into Mafia II
Actually it's not legal to stand very close to a cop unless you are a victim or you know him. Watch the video of cop reviewing gta V he clearly mentioned it.
I have played both Mafia II and GTA IV. Best games ever. Actually Mafia II is like real life because we have to pay fine if we overspeed and we have a option for limited speed. GTA series don't have a limited speed option.
If they had this feature people will don't like it because u know gta player want to drive cars at full speed they will get frustrated if u getting wanted everytime over speed mafia has smaller map thats why player manage to drive car slowly but gta has bigger map that's why they don't add this feature player will get wanted everytime for overspeeding and gta cops are challenging Rockstar has made them challenging not like mafia just kill to or more and if u getting busted pay them money

I honestly think GTA V's police is "worse" because the whole point is to satire how bad the real life police are in some occasions (specifically the US police)
But still, GTA 4 and mafia 2's police are much more detailed

Nah, the whole point wasnt to "satire the real police" durning the development of 1st GTA game there was a bug with a police AI that made it agressive and testers liked it so rockstar decided to make it into a feature

In Mafia series games, cops logic is the best according to me
Mafia II and I are my all time favorite games.. Mafia 1 is the first game I have ever played and I fell in love haha. I recommend it to everyone. However I believe that GTA simply doesn't aim for this realistic approach. The police shoot you because it's "funny" in a sense that the whole GTA world revolves around overall insanity: crazy people, weird physics, hilarious encounters. Police shooting on sight is probably simply a feature and not a lack of development

I played mafia 2 somewhere around chapter 10 or 11, where irish mobs torched vito's house. I jumped out of the window, fought with some of the attackers until 1 of them left, then a police patrol intervene.
The police did stop the attacker, and forced him to kneel and surrender his ID card. Then the police left. Afterwards, the attacker pulled out his pistol and started to attack me again. The police turned blind eye, and reacted only when i started to fight back the attacker.

I don't know man, I play gta sometimes, especially gta 4 was good. But Mafia games is the ones that I would never delete from my computer. There is absolutely no better games with so much love than mafia 1 & 2. ( Btw mafia 3 sucks but it still better than gta 5 )
@Dihtchi Don't remember why would I say that. I actually hate Mafia 3. But Gta 5 is the last game I'd play from Rockstar soooo.... Idk. Now I have Gta SA, VC and 4, but 5 is like for little wannaplay babies.

You can be issued a ticket for speeding above 50 kmh.
You can be issued a ticket for rash driving.
And you need to follow traffic rules or get arrested.

Anson Chan yes there’s similar but different reaction in gta 5. The civilians call the cops in gta 5 and you hear their conversations and all. Also, minor details don’t determine if the game is better. Gta 5 has so many more things you can do than gta 4 (at a larger scale) like the diversity of land in gta 5, the underwater discoveries you can make, fly airplanes, its these BIGGER and more important details that make gta 5 a better game. Even if it’s missing a few minor details that gta 4 has, doesn’t really make gta 4 a better game

1. The LCPD is reasonable and good
2. LSPD is aggressive, dumb and careless
3. Some PD at Mafia is smart and realistic
