GTA IV is my honest favorite. Sure it doesn't have tanks, bicycles or any of the fun wacky stuff that SA and 5 has. But it doesn't have that stuff as it is trying to be more realistic than both SA and 5 combined and it is supposed to be taken seriously. I like it's more mature tone than 5's and SA's. It's story made me feel more emotion than just fun when I beat the game's story for the first time. Not only it was fun, it was also sad at times as well. And it's story teaches us about the dark truth of the American dream and overall how dark and cruel the world can be. And it's main theme, loading theme, and pause menu theme really reflects this dark atmosphere. It truly is unique from the other games. I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea. Like, Scott the Woz prefers 5 as it has a brighter atmosphere. And that is just his opinion so even if I was mad I couldn't do much about it. But at least for me it is the best.
If gta san andreas had gta 4, 5, or my favourite rdr2 graphics it would be the best. The graphics really hold it back in my opinion. Idk my fav. Maybe 4. Maybe san andreas. Def not 5.

I actually found GTA IV online much more fun. It was simple but excellent. All the airport battles ahh. And skilled people with annihilators coming hunt you. Also GTA IV online did not give you any advantages over others. All had same weapons and all had fair chances of surviving. It was also more engaging to have Team Deathmatches in open city. Many of GTA V has are restricted. In IV you could end up alone against many players or end up in one on one. Sometimes other player just decided to escape and then you had to hunt that person down. Sometimes from subway systems. Also those stupid microtransactions are complete rip off and cash in. Everything made in GTA V Online has been made in purpose of earning money for the company.

What I like about GTA San Andreas is how you can change your whole stats like body fat, sex appeal etc. His dialogue changes too when fat and his actions are different to depending on the stats and it's one of the best details I found on GTA SA♥️🔥 and he also vomits when eating a lot which is fun🤣🤣

GTA5 lacked details in areas that GTA San Andreas and GTA4 both had.
