This duo commentary on games that aren't your own is very informative. Almost like a real casting for a tournament. Definitely hope to see more of this!
Thanks for the great video and commentary. Its pretty nice to have the background on why certain decisions can be made the way they do. As someone who doesnt really play but likes to watch, it helps make some of the questionable plays that happen make more sense.
No kidding! I was about to comment the same thing. They kept talking about the tier2 transition and how good medium tanks are and I kept thinking about how those medium tanks just dropped at least 4k metal on the other side of the map. Although I guess that's another reason why you really can't afford to transition.
I actually think this exact situation is the one great use case for beamers, ironically enough right after they talked about it. How do you stop a t1 army imminently crashing your greedy t2 base? Clearly bulls were the wrong answer. Jags wouldn't have done much better. Each bull actually does less dmg than one beamer. Consider that for each bull, nearly 1k m, you can have 5 beamers which is a Razorbacks worth of dps. Beamers come online more quickly and can't be focused down as easily as even a popup, which is sort of your only T2 answer, provided a nearby T2 con is even an option. They mentioned mines, ok sure, but that would need to have happened 2 minutes ago. Tier 2 bots maybe you try spybots but arm vehicles has consuls and consuls can drop beamers all over the place, especially if you've got a couple upgraded mexes and some build power lying around. Tell me 10-12 beamers and counting wouldn't be just terrifying to drive into with a ball of tier 1 tanks?
@@BARCastTV Cor tanks busted no doubt. Mines are the correct answer, will have to give it a try. Beamers have been my bandaid answer to "Ohh shi*t I greeded too hard. I'm just completely dead here" which happens to me more often than I like to admit.
Seems like the banshees were the main mistake, not the t2. You guys kinda slept on talking about what was going on in the game around that time, until vedor suddenly won.
Well TA has been around since the 90s . Which is what this game is based off of. I think BAR on the spring engine is something like almost 20 years old
And Andy here from TA? I'm not questioning you so much as learning the games history and culture. I just started getting unti BAR and watch your videos to learn from the best players. Hera recently posted a video about the history of AOE. I'd watch a history of BAR to see how meta evolved if there was one. Grubby talks a lot about evolving meta throughout the years on his channel as well.
@@BARCastTV I'm watching the BPL series you recently put out. Too bad about alt 4. I wanted to see some off meta game play and he definitely had some. Anyway keep putting out the series, and I'll keep watching. Wish I could give both thumbs up, but (edit:) TH-cam* only allowed me the one.

Sure, having you both was a real treat!
Thanks for the cast :)
Thanks man more to come!
Bring on the guest commentary! Always nice to get more opinions on how the game ought to be played!
Thank you more to come

thanks for the comment that means a lot. Cheers
it felt like the game swung a lot when randy left a massive tank field on vedor's side of the map and then didn't get any reclaim

yes. That was so many tanks and this can be the blunder of an all out attack
I like seeing you and a guest commentate games of other high level players!
More to come
Both of these players are awesome, Vedor has been in almost every Fight Night tournament!
Vedor was my dark horse prediction to win season 3. I bet he does much better this season!
Large map 1v1s are fun to watch because they give more potential to smart and strategical decisions rather than focusing on micro.
yes I agree I really like the macro maps
Also...
Tell me you haven't watched Skinner's videos without telling me you haven't watched Skinner's videos.
Blodir: Butlers are useless.
I don't know who skinners is , but I know that twitchers are mad op
@@BARCastTV ? www.youtube.com/@dskinnerify There is only so much BAR on youtube.

no mines are the answer. Tanks have too high of health

ngl there were a couple I wanted to pause and finish the point then resume the replay. I will say 20 minutes feels kinda short. Mitvit!!

@@nunyabizznez2805 yes thats Andy from TA
@@BARCastTV how many of y'all came from TA?
if gunships automaticly targeted aa then they would be 100% better
gunships have pretty low dps. IMO if you're targeting aa you're kinda doing it wrong
wow so handsome
