Great tutorial! For the lighter mortar, was that straight yellow ochre? It looks more beige so I wondered if it had a little bit of another colour mixed in. TIA!
Thank you for explaining this easy method. I love painting buildings, churches etc and I have been unsure what colours to use to get an authentic look and your technique is better than a method I had been doing and that was to use masking fluid.

I think it was pretty much straight yellow ochre, just very watery. Thanks for watching!

I believe I used alizarin crimson and French ultramarine blue.
