This so far, has been the only "Eastern Oregon" video that actually represents where I live.

Wow. There is so much of Oregon I haven’t seen or even heard of! I’ve lived here for 30 years 😅 Damn.. I guess it’s time to start taking more road trips in my own state!

Eastern Oregon looks amazing! I've only really traveled in Portland and Ashland, and clearly it's time to change that.

Great video. I’m going to southeast Oregon in a couple weeks and your drone shots have me even more excited.
Some bad news though... the Boardman tree farm mentioned at 2:15 is no more. It was recently chopped down (“farmed”). :/

Not a surprise considering the lack of knowledge of the areas reviewed.. the term "drive by" enters my mind.

Sadly, the Boardman Tree Farm was leveled several years ago and is now a field.

I'll only be on the North western part of Oregon this Sept after spending time at Olympic National Park. Cannon Beach, Portland and the River Gorge. Another trip would love to see Eastern, Southern and Central Oregon.

Jonathan Gottlieb I live in Portland and love the western part of the state with its lush evergreeens, waterfalls, coastline, etc. The Cascades create a natural rain curtain, keeping western OR very wet and eastern OR very dry, and 80% of the population lives in the western 3rd of the state. As a result, Eastern Oregon feels like a whole other world - it’s hard to believe it’s the same state. Definitely worth a visit whenever you can. :)

Do you need a 4 wheel drive for these places? Thanks!

Very much so. The roads are very narrow next to cliffs most of the time

no ones ever heard of eastern oregon. i’ve lived in oregon most of my life and i still wonder, what’s in eastern oregon. basically it’s desert while western oregon is rainy

Ella Weston if you feel that all eastern Oregon is desert you should remain where you are because we don’t want the real beauty and nature that is truly here to go to waste on you

  • @ashqelon7267
    @ashqelon7267 5 ปีที่แล้ว

somewhat beautiful, but deserted and void.
no food, no real community. no resources etc.
    150 miles to gasoline stations.
    boring etc.
100 yrs from now the same things.

And that is why we love the area because it keeps you and unappreciative others away.

E Oregon is VERY Boring! 50 years going there, it never changes. Outside 3 weeks between early Spring green then turn ugly dead brown dry barren there is nothing in all of it except a goats deer and dust devils!

"Diamond Craters" ? I live near Diamond Lake and Crater Lake, never heard of "diamond craters". Also, may I suggest you slow the speech and enunciate? Self indulgent cutesy blather.
