Oregon is capital A, Awesome. I'd quibble a little with the list. They missed Steens Mountain and Oregon Caves. They need a Top 20 List for wonderful Oregon.
It's good that only the overcrowded places are pointed out. We Oregonians have our own more private smaller places that are not overrun with tourists....yet.
@@newdohl That is why we will be putting our house on the market next spring. I moved here, between Bend and Sisters, 40 years ago ! Now it all looks like California. We are headed for a forested area.
I've been to all of them, except Painted Hills and Silver Falls. I agree that these are some of the most beautiful places in Oregon, but most of Astoria's pictures in the video are from the wrong Astoria (New York). There's no suspension bridge in Astoria, Oregon. Astoria, Oregon is my native town. I know almost every neighborhood.
@@gpl422sda First of all, to shed some light on the subject, the Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge and while they're not all the same color or size, most suspension bridges have that resemblance. The Astoria-Megler Bridge is a truss bridge, which is connected by solid beams.
I love driving through the Columbia River Gorge - especially through The Dalles and Hood River. I'd love to take a couple days and explore Hood River sometime. Panorama Point is a great place to get some clear pictures of Mt. Hood. Cannon Beach is on my bucket list.

Go check out King Area East of Wolf Creek it's from a Oregon native . It's a big place with deep woods ponds and it goes as high as 6,000 feet high from sea level
Oregon has it all. If you want the high desert arid environment, go to eastern Oregon. If you want the greener, wetter environment, go to western Oregon. If you want a mix of both wet & dry, go to Central (valley) Oregon.
I live in Russia, and I've visited Oregon in Days Gone, visited Montana in Far Cry 5, LA in Dead Island, New York in Spider Man. I wanna visit Sequoia National Park and Grand Canyon in reality one day, if nuclear war not happens.
Shhh! Don't be spreading the word about Yachats. I was "stuck" there in a tent a few years ago, waiting for the weather to let up. It didn't, so I continued to write. After a month of "torture" (a la Devil's Churn kind of torture, run a googs on it) I finally crawled out of there with a novel-length manuscript. The ocean waves keeping me awake at night, crashing and crashing.
@@ookie4179 OK. Fling a Bing then. Launch a search. Open an encyclopedia. I just revisited the Devil's Churn and saw on the map that it was right at a mile away from the tiny grocery store at Yachats where I replenished my supplies ever third day for a month. And I remember it was about a mile walk.
How about skipping AI generated and do your own research. This video incorrectly shares many images of downtown Portland, OR as Astoria, OR. Too bad. Also AI pronunciation of most of the city and special sites is poor. Again, so much better to do your own research so your content is credible.
This video is just an attempt at getting likes to prop up the stats of a channel for monetization by stringing together a bunch or stock clips with a hastily-translated computer-voice script. It is chock full of terrible clips interspersed with some stock footage of the places they're saying you should visit, many of which are completely wrong (New York City is NOT Astoria, Oregon).
This video doesn’t synch up to what is being talked about! It talks about Astoria yet shows pics of what I believed to be New York maybe?? If your gonna make a video at least make it quality
Oh boy, that was a great video - except for 2 things. #1 - the bridge in Astoria spans the big Columbia River, not the one in New York with all of the skyscrapers. There are no buildings behind the bridge. #2 - the narrator needs to learn to pronounce Willamette. I’ve lived here all of my life and have seen most all of the places. Fun to go hiking in the gorge, go rafting on the Rogue River, walking along the walking trail along the ocean in Yachats, skiing at Mt. Bachelor - we used to live in Eugene with all of the bike trails, now in central Oregon - close to all of the places. Very beautiful state.
This video has a lot of incorrect information and incorrect pictures. Some of the pictures of Astoria and the bridge are from somewhere else in the world. Please disregard this video

Oregon is terrific
Why??
I’m sure others have pointed out that Astoria New York isn’t in Oregon.
Almost the entire Astoria part was UNtrue.
you forgot Sunriver, Oregon High Desert Museum, Clackamas Town Center, Hidden Falls Park, Evergreen Air and Space Museum, my house, and a few more.
Thanks for the info. Will include in the next video.
I would definitely Recommend to go visit Oregon in general I loved it

We love the rogue valley
It's good that only the overcrowded places are pointed out. We Oregonians have our own more private smaller places that are not overrun with tourists....yet.
Hate that Bend has been so popular in tourist magazines for the last 15 years. Used to be such a nice place to live until it was overrun.

That is not Astoria nor is that the Astoria bridge across the Columbia river, this video maybe 50% accurate , that bridge is the St Johns bridge.
